Hope someone can comment of problems I am experiencing when selecting some Rwy12 object libraries.I have two problems. Firstly, a number of Rwy12 objects are displaying in a scrambled state. Various components forming the final object are not being correctly united and this results in the final object appearing scrambled. I can find examples of this issue when placing objects contained in L Hickman

Gentlemen,I've been creating a control tower for my local airport. For some odd reason, the box I created for the tower cab glass is rotated 90 degrees and offset when viewed in FS2004. I compensated after much struggle and prevailed but would like to know what causes this and what am I missing. Every day is a new day with GMAX.

Hello all,I've done a search on the subject, but the answers I found aren't too clear. First, I want to design a new version of an existing FS2004 airport. Because I like accuracy, I'd like to use GMAX for it's precision. I've used other programs before (everything from SEE4, to FSSC), and to draw accurate taxiways with proper fillet radii, I have to create polygons, then hand-place thousands of individual vertices. Even, then, I have to fiddle with very unfriendly interfaces to place taxiway lines and markings...This whole desire is born out of frustration with AFCAD. I'm asking AFCAD to do too much, and I think I can get better results by using a true design tool. Here …

Hi I wanted to know if is possible to overlap taxyways in FSSC and hoy to make it workThe whole idea is to have taxyways of 2 materiales, (for the borders asphalt and for the "center" concrete.What I've done is to draw first an taxyway of afphalt and latter on an taxyway (much smaller) of concrete, on the FSSC it shows as it should be, but on the FS there is no result, as the asphalt will show only (not the concrete in the center.I've attached an image of FSSC to let you know my idea.The scenery will be SPIM, Jorge Chavez Int in peru.Thanks for your help!!Helio Alberto Regalado Moreira

I need some help, I downloaded the ExcBuilder program to use but when i click the ExcBuilderV2 file after unzipping it i keep on getting this message: Class not registered, Then it says i need MSSTDFMT.DLL installed on my computer. It already is so i dont know whats going on, can anyone help?

Thanks to the help so far, I'm slowly getting there with my airport.I've got a bit of a problem though with my animation for my gates.It seems that position wise, my vertical and horizontal movements, I'm able to keep everything in synch. However, some of my rotations seem to lose something along the way.I have three objects that don't want to do as they're told. I have just downloaded the super DXT Bmp reader that allows you to scan BMP images in the textutre files. I have done this because I want to improve / change the "awful" default groud textures around the KORD Runways. I have found the files in Cities/Chicago/Texture, but it looks as if they are scanned satellite images. I have even tried the simflyers KORD, but I notice that outside the main terminals and aprons they seem to use the same default satellite photo's. As I am a complete novice, can anybody tell me if it is possible to improve these images, so that the aprons around the runways dont have that funny speckled white / brown / green look?Best Wishes and grateful t…

Purchased EZ-Scenery for abacus this morning. Very good. Installed a few of my own animated Gmax Librarys object without any problems using the Library Manager. Works very much like FSE except the objects are moved by slewing your plane and not with seperate hot keys. Since the scenery you create is adherent to the sdks anyone can use your scenery and do not half to have EZ-Scenery.One big problems though. There is no means to move your objects vertically. Everything is fasted to the ground. I sure hope they add this ability in the future but I doubt it. Kind of dissapointing not to be able to add my sign librarys to it.RegardsDennis Waggoner

Hi, Since I was unable to find a scenery add-on for the Alta (ENAT) airport in Norway, I was wondering how you would go about adding a curved path for runway approach lighting? Ok, so does everybody else in this forum...I work fulltime, have 2 kids, and I am taking real life flying lessons.I downloaded 1 meter aerial photographs of my local airport (Tweed New Haven- KHVN).I simply don't have time to learn SDKs and a million different programs. I just read about the Abacus EZ-Scenery and it looks great, but it doesn't "create" airports. The runways and taxiways in the default airport are OK- I want to put my aerial images under that, and then put objects on top of it.Is there a program to create airports with photographs easily?Also, what is the deal with GMAX? The website says it's no longer available... How do I get it?

Greetings again everyone,I just have two questions regarding the use of clone objects in Flight Simulator.Specifically, I have an airport with three different types of Aerobridges/Jetways. These objects are used multiple times in the airport at different gates. The thing is if the objects are identical is there a way for me to somehow add the object to the library so that it only has to be created 'once' and the rest of the jetways refer to this object.What is the most economical way to add an object with multiple copies? Should I just be creating the whole thing in GMAX and during the export it will condense it down or should I be creating one copy, and place this object…

Hi all,in my quest to redraw the islands of Kiribati, I have encountered a problem.This is Nonouti Atoll (approx. With the land and sea reversed in the elongated-horseshoe island at the bottom.On the right is my redrawn version of the southern end with the problem area bounded by the old default coastline (subsequently excluded of course!).The problem is that the area inside the old coastline was water (although it should have been land), and now when I add the mesh data I don't get any elevation inside the old coast. Hi,I sloped the ground down away from the beginning of my runway so that several of the AFCAD approach lights were suspended in the air. I then tried to create a model to place under the strobes. The model will not appear but rather some strange lights are in its place.Is it not possible to place a model under the strobes? I think it would be a nice effect but don't have the knowhow to actually create my own complete custom approach lights.Thanks in advance. I can supply pics if that helps.Thanks,Adam

GentlemanI posted this question over at the SBuilder Forum but have not received any response. Maybe someone here can help. I use Sbuilder to enhance/add to exsisting airport VTP Poly's. I have never had a problem with re-doing FS9's default airport VTP Poly's or Lines until now.If I create a VTP2 (compiled bgl no errors) for airports that appear to use a Satellite airport image such as KATL (Atlanta, GA) nothing changes. Original ground cover, autogen objects do not get replaced with the new ground cover airport background poly I created.If I move south or away from the airport a small distance and create the same VTP it works fine and all scenery (1190) changes to what …

This problem has beset me since version 3.0 of my Vancouver International Airport scenery. I posted this on the design forums at both AVSIM and FlightSim under the Subject: "Sporadic Texture Display at CYVR", back in July 2004. There were no substantiated resolutions based on results but I received several suggestions but none resolved the problem.
