I'm working on my latest project, Miramichi Airport, and I'm having autogen probs. If I save a flight in top down view, all my autogen loads when I restart FS. If I save the same flight in cockpit, spotplane or VC view and restart, the autogen is gone again.Very strange. Anyone encountered this or find a cure?Thanks,Adam

Can anyone please help me with error messages that I get when trying to recompile an .sca file to .bgl with SCASM 2.96? As a bit of a beginner at this, I have been trying to remove static aircraft from bgl files using BGLAnalyze and SCASM. I have been about 90% successful, but have one stubborn file, in which I cannot get rid of some 'bits' of the static aircraft (the rest of the textureless planes went after delting all the various .*AF entries) - see screenshot at the bottom here. Has anyone any idea what I need to get rid of? I have tried tire, roue, tjmbp, image18 & image19 (all of which are either in the FS9 default texture folder, or added by Nova/NovaGold. On this one again... I thought I had fixed this problem. Certain large ground polys disappear at given angles. What are the params for V2 to fix the disappearing polys? Need help badly.Thanks,Adam

Hello all how does one apply a "two sided texture" to something as simple as a polygon in other words do I do it by makeing the material double sided and apending the bitmap name with double sided(_ds) as well or is it done with just one of the above?. Hi,While redoing 69NH (formerly 8B8), Lakes Region Airport in Wolfeboro, NH, while examining aerial photos of the airport, I noticed a bunch of seaplanes parked at and around a dock on the shore at the end of a short road leading up to the airport.There is no official water runway here, but I'd like to make one since I like to fly from this airport and area, and I think it would be a cool airport to run bush flights from.The problem is the water runway has a different height than the normal 69NH runway. So if I were to add parking and taxiways to the water runway at the airport, as far as I know anyway, it would raise the water up around the taxiways and parking spots to…

I hope this is not too daft a question: am hoping someone can advise. I recently downloaded scenery for Morocco (by Toni Agramont), which fills the country with mosques, tourist hotels, soukhs and so on - very nice it is too (maroc_sc.zip).The only problem is that it also seems to populate all the Moroccan airports with ghostly, textureless static AI aircraft, which I would very much like to get rid of. But how? The author just suggests turning the scenery complexity right down, but that spoils so much else. There are no separate bgl files for the AI aircraft, and I am not sure how to make an exclusion file for aircraft (though I have managed to make bgl files for landcla…

Hey guys!I have just recently bought Aerosoft's scandinavian bundble package and is using it with a demo version of mytraffic 2006 and i was wondering, how come none of the mytraffic planes or msfs planes in general park corretcly infront of the right gates? Hi,Well, I'm working on updating 8B8 Lakes Region Airport, Wolfeboro, NH, and I come to find out its identifier is now 69NH (Anyone know why?).So now I'm wondering, should I update it in FS?I see a number of possible solutions:1. Delete the airport from the AP928160.bgl. Then rename the airport in the new AFCAD with the new runway positions. This should leave only 68NH in the listing.2. Create a new 8B8 AFCAD with no runways, with airport reference point somewhere on tarmac. Create a new 69NH AFCAD in correct position, etc. with all runways, parking, etc.. This will leave both 8B8 and 68NH available in the selection list. If 8B8 has no runways, if a person selects it…

My apologies if it is not :-)Hello, I have been trying to put together an AFCAD2 file for the USS Stennis locatedoff the coast of California. I have run in a problem that I cannot seem to find a solution for:I have tried various adjustments to the elevation and also made a flatten "switch" which only made things worse. When I drop the elevation, the water goes back to normal level but the AI traffic also drops down too low. Any ideas on a fix for this would be greatly appreciated.Gary

Hi -I am trying to modify an existing stream texture but am having difficulty doing so. I edit it using the Dxt/bmp program and my graphics editor but when I use the image in FS9 I get a black border around the stream. I have tried making an alpha to make the black areas in the image transparent but that doen't seem to work either. Also when I save the image using dxt/bmp it only saves it as half the size of the original texture. I am saving it as DXT1 as this is the original format.This is the first time I have tired editing a ground scenery texture. What am I doing wrong ????? I would appreciate any help or tips. Thanks :)

Hi,Is it possible to use different colors in a "fence"-like setup: an antenna with red and white segments/parts ? Because... only one color appear. Or have I made some errors ?It seems that I can make the red and white items as parts and then attach the parts (planes) to eachother... Greetz. Jos

A few members of my VA recently purchased Fly Tampa's Seattle scenery. The scenery is amazing but we have run into an issue while trying to add our cargo facility to the NE corner. Afcad2 will delete the 2 or 3 large cargo spots we need removed and the apron taxiways to them...but it does not change the actual scenery...the 3 parking "T"'s still show up, along with the taxiway centerlines to them. I then tried to place new concrete over this small area, using Afcad2, but it doesn't show up...I still see the original concrete and markings. I've asked about this at the Fly Tampa forum with no responses. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks. Vic

I've been making a couple of Aircraft Landing Areas way out in the bush and I came up with the following fairly stupid method of making uneven runways. 1. Use SceneGenX to define a scenery area with lat. lon.2. Create an airport object with the lat. lon. plus database details: Name, city, region, ICAO code etc. 3. Do NOT create any runway objects etc. 4. compile to bgls. 5. Go into Ground2k4 or similar and define a landclass for the locality. 6. Lay down a straight dirt road segment for your runway, going across your airport object lat. and lon. Make it wide, around 128 feet or more. Your runway will follow hills and have bumps and dust and... generally be really nasty. N…

Hi,Somebody pointed out that a new AFCAD with FFNE for MA55 had trees on the runway. When I looked at it, it turns out the default runway is 90 degrees to its actual direction, and the runway was at 90 ft (27m) (as noted by AirNav) while the ground in the area is at from 0 to 10 feet across the island the runway is on (a small island just west of Nantucket). So I created a new AFCAD using AFCAD 2.21, I removed the old flatten using LWMViewer and BGLC, and using Sbuilder, created a new flatten, a layer 7 poly exclude for the old airport background, and several excludes to remove the trees. The runway was created at 3 feet, and the flatten was created at .9 m. I did not cre…

Hi,I've been randomly selecting airports and relocating them/fixing their altitudes. Currently, I am working on NH07. I edited FL928160.bgl and removed the flattens related to the airport that I could find. I reviewed the new FL928160_new.bgl and there are no flattens visible in the file. The airport is near the eastern edge of FL928160, but it is not really that close. I could find no similar references in FL929160.bgl.Then I used AFCAD 2.21 and created and relocated the runway and changed all the heights to the new height. I saved this and also put a reduced version in a scenery library with a lower priority than the Regional libraries. Then I used SBuilder to cr…

Hi all! I was not feeling that great lately and did not do much in scenery desing or even visiting this forum. Beside I had a problem with FS9 and had to reinstall it from scratch.Yesterday, I came back to the forum and got the news about EZ-Scenery. I got the trial package and gave a fast shot at it. Looks very interresting indeed and very much so as, if I gathered it well, one could make use of Rwy12 objects as well as other that may be developped by 3rd party.One interresting thing I red in the Help file though, is it can use those objects created by FSDS V3!!
