    All the default FS9 land class textures are categorised and given a number. Some of these are "unused".Is there any way of editing this configuration, especially to add some land class textures, and then be able to apply these using the standard LC file construction?I have searched FS9, but cannot find any .cfg or text that allocates the LC textures to specific categories - they are not in the terrain.cfg.This would be such a simple way of editing/amending LC textures without the necessity of overwriting the existing textures?If anyone knows how to do this or has some insight on the LC textures configuration, I would be most grateful.JCFH

    I made some changes to the BVCF file and got the correct center (control) names for Japan. Such as Fukuoka Control and Sapporo Control. It work's fine, with no problems that I've seen. My question is this; Can I upload the changed BVCF file to the File Library, or would that infringe on Microsofts copyright?Any guidance would help.Thank's

    I downloaded the kiah-scenery.zip. I followed the instructions for adding the new runway and everything went fine. But I also tried to add the AF2_KIAH_ILS_JV.BGL which I believe adds the scenery to the ...Addon Sceneryscenery folder as the instructions state. When I run fs9, I get the new runway, but there is farm land between the runway and the rest of the taxiways. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi all, i have updated my version 5.1 fully installed ground2k4, to version 5.4 , after i did this i was able to open and edit my project, but when i generated my files, it generated nothing else than the exclude bgl, so i have downloaded a version 5.3 of this application and tried to open my LWM, but since it was newev he couldnt, i hope you can help me in this or i can throw, my project out i worked on it for 2 weeks now i think..

    Hey all !!!I have been a long time, well since 1996, user of MSFS. Recently, as I fly around KSEE-Gillespie Field in FS2002 Pro, my son has been remarking that it doesn't look much like the real thing. (We live just a couple of miles east of Gillespie Field and my son really likes to park by the airport and watch the traffic there.) For instance, the mountains nearby have snow on them and the freeway just east of the airport is missing, just to name two problems.     Hi!Please help, all you Gurus, with this:I prepared 4 photos of an interesting area: NW and SW are BMPs with ALPHA (because of water) and NE and SE are just plain BMPs.I put them through resample separately (because my PC can process no more then roughly 500 km2 and there is about 1400 km2 to cover).So, the problem are these strips around each area - original BMPs are aligned pixel to pixel each one to another ...What trick should I apply not to have these water stripes? This is Sahara not a channeled Netherlands, anyway :)I remember same problem with aligning meshes but forgot the solution ...

    Hi fellas.Got a problem with a G2K4 scenery I've been developing in that FS9 crashes when starting a flight in the scenery area at dusk. Works fine for day and night, but not dusk (have not tested it for dawn yet).After much experimentation, I've discovered that it is the combined effect of the 5 and 9 BGLs. It's only the inclusion of these files in the active scenery folder that causes the problem. All other G2K4 files and file combinations are fine. Neither is it the result of other sceneries, as I've eliminated all others from the scenery list. Any ideas? Appreciate all your input.Cheers,Matthew.

    HiI would like to create a reflective texture for a scenery object.If I follow the MS GMAX Material Guide I have to apply a diffuse map and a specular map with an alpha channel and it must be the same name.If I follow this guide and use a DXT3 texture I end up with transparent texture instead of reflections.Is the only way to get reflective scenery objects tweaking the asm file (change Texture Building to Texture Aircraft) and using bglc_9 to solve the problem, or is there a more straight forward solution?If tweaking is the only solution, can I create mdl files with bglc_9?Looking forward for an answer.Kind regardsJ

    I have been trying to generate xml excludes as a new function for my LOM/Scenery Maker utlitiy. I get clean XML which compiles fine and creates the expected bgl file. However the code does remove anything. I guess I have missed something important. I am sure I had it working at one point but I must have been dreaming Here is an example of the xml I am generating which compiles but fails to affect the scenery. Any suggestions much appreciated

    Hi guysI do a new runway from scratch for the first time.I did it with AFCAD at 3400 feet (both RW and airport) and made a plateau with the flatten function of FSFC also at 3400 feet.I see the runway all right from a little altitude but closer it tends to progressively disappear. At first the texture runs over the sides (see the overlapping triangles)and then very close it disappear entirely around the aircraft. Same if I put the RW a tad higher say 3400.2.I do something wrong somewhere but where ? Dominique

    I am trying to build a water tower that has cylindrical supports. I can make the supports, but I can't figure out how to tilt them slightly inwards from the ground to the bottom of the tank. Any help appreciated.Thanks,Mike

    I'm trying to create roads in my scenery and have tried LWM5, Sbuilder and I'm currently trying to use ground2k4 to no avail. I've read the tutorials and I still can't get roads to show up in my scenery. I can remesh with no problem using LWM5, but no roads. Can anyone tell me what program would be best and step by step how to make roads appear in my scenery?AJ

    From previous threads, I'm not the first to report this problem, but I appear to be the first to report it with SBuilder. Basically, at dusk, most of my VTPs (but not all) disappear and I see the underlying landclass. In the case of the airport poly, only parts of it disappear and become night-lighted. Using LWM Viewer, I've examined every file I can find that affects the area. There does not appear to be any apparent explanation for which parts are lighted and which are not. Previous threads have suggested the problem's due to combining night-lighted VTPs (like cities) and non-night-lighted VTPs in the same project. That's not my situation. None of my VTPs - grass…

    Hello all, I have just recently started to delve into scenery design using SBuilder and RW12... and the results have been quite nice.I would now like, however, to create a new scenery for the planned harbor and airport expansion project in Haifa (LLHA) Israel. See image.     Well i have scanned the folders here and nothing relates to my question which is thus: When i import the default bgl.file or the API fle i only get the Taxiway markers no rwy or beacons or buildings or windsocks etc. Should i not get the rwy?i have tried the AFCAD import but tends to takeover the XML,i just want to imort the default scenery including runways to add another runway and scenery via xml,or do i just be content with the airport center and creat my own runways for the default,probaly a simple answer,nonetheless i would be interested,thanks Patrick.:)
