HiFS9 Battery and Avionics Switches don't work at 2 new Airports.Not sure what causes this but a new panel I have constructed for dual monitors or a Widescreen monitor suffers from this problem.This Panel for A380's has worked at these Airports but I reloaded Fs9 to check for any errors before releasing this Panel and this is the last of 3 problems.The 2 Airports have Flattens and the A380 drops about a foot on loading at these Airports and most gauges/autopilot/ are on even though the switches are off. Autopilot etc can also be switched on.At stock Airports the plane loads up O.K. and is "Dead as a Dodo" in regards to the gauges,Gps500, autopilot etc which is what I want…

a plee to developers to build in rain/snow depiction on the windshield. I know the animated effects no longer exist in fsx. My thoughts were it should be possible somehow to build in this effect by means of a still image, like its done with cockpit reflection. Only difference it needs a trigger from rain or snowfall to become active. A bitmap that shows raindrops, greyness, some dirt maybe and a clean wiper area. Hey guys, I installed the Grumman Albatross from Flightsim.com into FSX.Noticed on rotation that I was hitting a scrape-type contact point under the tail, making it difficult to rotate the plane enough to lift off. With little knowledge on how to modify contact points, I did a little bit of research and had a go at modifying it to move up that scrape point to the actual tail and all was good. Then... I tried operating on the water, and the plane acted weird, basically jumping around, etc and wouldn't stabilze. I tried messing around with the different points, raising/lowering, etc. The very best I could do is get it stable sitting still, but when I would start moving forw…

Today, I spent cleaning up the Enterprise model, basically setting up a dummy node and linking up everything logically and then to "Ship_LOD_400", and then to the dummy master node.I also have eliminated the last of the extraeous polys that creeped into a part of two, so that there are no compile errors.Finally, as part of this close examination, I tweeked the exact position and scale of the textures to make sure that they cover everything and there are no artifacts.Now, I'd like to experiment with some of the more advanced texture features I think, but not sure what I should do next.Also, when I try to export a DDS from a PSD in which I have added an alpha channel, as a …

I don't have any real programming experience except some basic XML.My problem is how to link a key press and sound to an animation. In this case, a cabin exit door. Hi all,This problem has been bothering me for a very long time and I was hoping someone here can help me...In my panel I want to capture keyboard inputs for my INS system whilst disabling all keyboard input to FS itself. For that I use the DirectInput example in the Dragonflight tutorial. I can capture the keyboard input, no problem but... I have downloaded a few planes for fSX and I'm getting guage errors. they were supposed to be for fsx but they seem to still be using fs9 guages. How can I fix this problem I can't find any guages for these planes, and Ive been tring to do it myself but I don't know what files to change. Hello, I'm looking to add a simple gauge to a panel that I have. I woudl like to have a simple visual indicator that shows the status of the speedbrake lever, so that I don't have to bring up the pedestal. Simply showing deployed vs. armed vs. stowed would be enough.Before I bust out my rusty XML and reverse Polish notation skills, I wanted to ask if something lke this already exists. Hi,Problem,1. I build a flight plan using the default FS system2. The flight plan shows on the G1000 map view.3. Bring up the Direct To page, choose a destination and click Activate.4. If you bring up the flight plan page the plan has been lost and only the Direct To leg is shown.I'm thinking though that the flight plan is still lurking somewhere in FS.Anyone know some XML code that would reactivate the flight plan, say if one of the gauge's buttons is pressed? So that it would then show up again in the flight plan page.cheers,Nick

Does anyone know DC-9s real well? Can anyone tell what the two square indicator lights are for that are circled in this picture? One of them has the letters WPT on it, but the other one next to it is completely dark and I cannot tell what it is. Hi,I've been looking into the King Air fuel system.Basically, it consists of outer wing tanks (main tank) and inner wing tanks (auxiliary). Both the mains and auxiliary tanks feed into a tank in their respective engine nacelle.First the fuel from the auxiliary tanks are fed into the nacelle tank by an electric pump. When the auxiliary tank is empty, the nacelle tank is fed by the main tanks by gravity feed.The engine is fed from the nacelle tank by a main engine driven pump, which in turn is fed by another engine driven fuel pump in the nacelle tank or by an electrically driven standby pump in the event of a engine driven boost pump failure.Which means in my limited und…

Has anyone successfully been able to unload a subclass of the FSX WndProc on exit? No matter where I call SetWindowLong to return the original WndProc, FSX crashes in AfxWinMain. I can unload the WndProc at any time before WM_CLOSE successfully (i.e. before the user closes FSX), after this any attempt to unload the WndProc fails (WM_CLOSE, PANEL_SERVICE_DISCONNECT, module_deinit, DLL_PROCESS_DETACH) all have the same results. Hooking works fine, but I need to subclass. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
