Hello,I have just finished repaint 4 airplanes, all of which belongs to Solomon Airlines. They are for the Wilco 737PIC, Wilco E-Jets and Overland/SMS A320.(All different liveries)I will be uploading all my repaints soon in a single pack!!!I was also wondering if there is anyone out there who is willing to make my repaints better, eg. adding shadows, shine and dirt.I will be uploading images of my reapaints soon, so look out for them.ThanksP.S.If you are willing to help give depth to my repaint, please pm me.

Don't know what happened to the thread we had going, but to add a little to the fs9gps search topic...I made a few format discoveries that I hope lead to some progress. If the following is posted elsewhere in this forum, my apologies for not finding it. Here are some MS (ACES) fs9gps format examples of Region, Type, Ident, and the ACES version of Icao:It appears that the unique navaid identifier in the fs9gps database is the MS (ACES) format Icao string. The ambiguity I had in my search resulted from starting only with the navaid ident, which is not necessarily unique. I may be able to search by specifying the ACES Icao, which would be unique, if I know Region ahead o…

Hello pilots.I looked thru the forum and cant say that i found anything. My question is: have somone done a weather radar built in a panel? I wuld like to try to build CS weather radar in my PMDG MD11 paned where it is in the same display as my route, like the CS 757 have. And with the WR buttons functional (a little note says "INOP"). Captain sim WR clearly says that the WR can be used with any aircraft, but to my knollege they mean in a seperate (pop-up) panel. Maybe this is a epic task to get into, but i just wondering. Any toturial or something? Never made a aircraft or a panel, but i will try if possible.Anyone experience designers have idea?

I have a question about gauges & FS Panel Studio...I'm working on modifying a panel with FS Panel Studio. I installed a tachometer, saved the panel then opened up MSFS to check the function of the tach. It works, except at full throttle when the indicator sticks and will not decrease when the throttle is decreased. Any insights? Thanks!

Probably really simple for those who know how but..I would like to create a keyboard shortcut for a panel window that is currently only possible to open via clickspot on the main panel. The panel window is listed in the simulator View menu, but not available using SHIFT 1-9.I have registered FSUIPC and tried creating a mouse macro, but the macro didn't work.Any ideas?

I want to remove an animation from a Gmax aircraft model? I've deleted the animation using the Animation Manager yet the animation still occurs when I move the animation slider across the bottom of the window. I want to get rid of it totally and start again.

Hello,I wondered if this was possible. Let's take a simple FMC, doesn't matter what addon. The keys don't make any sound, although they do in real life, whereof I have a sound from a real aircraft. Can I add this somehow? I own FSPanel Studio. Sim is FS2004.Thanks in advance.

Does it work as advertised? I've got the following problem:-KEY_SPOILERS_SET(0-4320) does nothingKEY_SPOILERS_SET(4323-@5000) returns 10062 (or thereabouts - it varies) if I query SPOILERS_POS_LEFT or SPOILERS_POS_RIGHTKEY_SPOILERS_SET(anything above @5000) returns 16383 if I query SPOILERS_POS_LEFT or SPOILERS_POS_RIGHTThe onscreen visuals match the SPOILERS_POS returns. I've looked in both the airfile and the aircraft.cfg file for inspiration (failed!) and I know that the information being entered into the SPOILERS_SET command is only coming from one place, so nothing else is sneakily overriding it.Very puzzled....-Dai

I have an XML gauge I am trying to make. I want the gauge to open the top-down view at full screen and provide a way to zoom the view. Right now it opens the top-down view but it does not open full screen. I also have not found a way to zoom it to a fixed setting in the gauge. What coding do I need in the gauge to open the top-down view full screen and set a zoom setting? Thanks, regards,Bob.

Let's see if anyone can make any sense of this. I have a (payware) aircraft that I needed to change the VC view on (looking more downward). I read around the various forums and found several suggestions, which I tried, but the only one which seemed to work the way I wanted was to change the InitialPbh entry in the VC camera definition. This particular aircraft does not have its own VC camera definition. Instead it picks up the FSX default from the camera.cfg file, as do many other aircraft, including some (all ?) of the FSX defaults. Changing that definition in situ worked, but affected all aircraft using it. I tried copying it to the aircraft's own aircraft.cfg file and c…

Hello,1st, thanks for this new tutorial librairy, helpfull and interesting.I'm stuck for several days in the same things:I need to add callouts for the default FSX 738. I have the callouts .Wav files in my "pocket".So, i did some research about that and found something called "CallV1", made by a German Gent. Very happy founding this zip file, i have read the "read me" file with attention and did exactely what he wrote.I found all the .Wav files, the Ini file and the Cab "file", installed all these as per the read me bla bla bla...Of course, did a Flight Check right after install but Nothing at all, from 2500' to 10', NO callouts :( If somebody know and installed successfu…

  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi everyone,I'm new to this so I hope someone here in this forum is able to help me.I want to add a sound for deployment of ground spoilers on touchdown to a plane. The basic question is, how do I do this?I have the wave file for the spoilers, but how can i assign it to the ground spoiler function.Do I have to make a gauge for the panel?Or can I somehow add it to the plane by adding a line to the sound.cfg file of the plane? Before I forget it, the airlane to which I want to add that sound has no own spoiler deployment sound, otherwise it would just be a matter of swappin the wav file.Hope someo…

Is there any way in FSX to create a view similar to the fixed windows views of FS9 that will allow me to add some gauges to perform some tasks. I am thinking of trying to simulate an aperature radar with lookdown provisions. I can create a camera view but there is no way to add gauges to the camera views. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi,I mentioned this before in a different forum, but hope that I can get some advise in the Design one.Got FS9.I downloaded ARNZ AIS-AI Concorde as part of my extensive AI fleet (got over 250 airlines from WOAI). I also did some subsonic Concorde flight plans using TTools. Concorde however behaves differently. It often disappears on landing (touch down). It shows in Traffic Board but many times it just flies a weird pattern - usually a straight forward instead of ligning up on landing and acually landing. Once, while watching it in Traffic Board, it did a full flight and actually landed! But often it does not follow the flight plan. I have made sure that al the flight pla…

I had reason to start looking at these today and very quickly discovered that There's Something Not Quite Right. If I dump an aircraft at Gander International TIME ZONE OFFSET gives me three hours instead of 3.5. Okay, so maybe FS doesn't like the tiny Atlantic timezone, but... if you load a plane in Madras (or anywhere in India) FS gives you 5 hours the other way instead of 5.5. Indian Standard Time is a big timezone to be ignored! So, can anyone tell me if FS takes a very simplistic view to timezones in that one timezone=fifteen degrees and hang all the zigging and zagging that the real timezones do?-Dai

hi,I find that most FSX propellers are not transparent enough in comparaison with real world. I have modified some of their associated file with DXTbmp and MS paint as the alpha editor. Nevertheles I find it a tricky process because I have not yet found a way to modify the alpha channel of the propeller file with a single click over the entire texture. I have to modify the texture bit by bit with not so good results. Is there a way to modify the alpha channel of the whole texture? Thanks.

Hello!I've tried for days to get this code to work but I simply can't see the problem with it. :( All other sections of the XML gauge works but not this one.<Element><Select><Value>(A:SPOILERS HANDLE POSITION,percent) 10 < if{ 0 (>G:Var3) }</Value></Select></Element><Element><Select><Value>(A:SPOILERS ARMED, bool) (A:SIM ON GROUND, bool) && if{ (G:Var3) ! Here's the variable I'm working on. It returns the current heading just fine, but what I'd like is for it to always return the reciprocal heading. For example, if I'm flying a heading of 90, I would like this gauge to show me "270", the reciprocal. Here's my current string from the gauge element in question:%((A:PLANE HEADING DEGREES GYRO,degrees))%!03d!Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Hello,After i got my moving map together, i have two questions1. I am having trouble to understand the Zoom variable (in XML Gauge Maps). For example I want a 500 nm zoom, according to the SDK documentation, it's calculated 500 nm x 1852 m/nm = 926000 m, however the manual says the range of values allowed is 80 to 500000 px/m, what am I missing here or does FSX assume a value somewhere :(2. Could somebody please explain resolution, scale and pixel conversion (in general images and/or map projections) from latitude and longitude to pixel coordinates or a website resource(s)?Much appreciated,Adrian

A companion to BlackBox2, GPS Viewer is a simple utility that generates xml code to display selected Microsoft Flight Simulator GPS variables while flying. It does not create a stand-alone gauge. Instead, the generated code must be pasted into the xml code of a host gauge that communicates with the gps.dll module.GPS Viewer generates xml code in either FS9 or ACES format and can be used with FS9 / 2004 or FSX. It is a Microsoft Excel application that contains macros to drive Excel User Forms (input forms). For those adventurous enough to begin working with the MSFS GPS module, this utility might help the debugging process. It is freeware that can be dowloaded from the Bla…

I need some input from model developers with aircraft dynamics. I am working on a warbird model for FSXA and came up with in interesting problem. When I manually start the plane with the mixture control in cut position (I know it will not start this way) the plane will roll forward very fast, lift off, and flip over all very fast and with the parking brake on. If I apply just a small amount of mixture or use CTRL+E to start, everything works fine. Has anybody had experience with this before? Thanks :(

  23. So what on earth did I do wrong?double getZuluHour(double temp){ double tmp=0; execute_calculator_code("(E:ZULU TIME, seconds)",&tmp,NULL,NULL); tmp=tmp/3600; return tmp;}//------------------- double time=0; time=getZuluHour(time); sprintf(pelement->string, "%12s%s", "Zulu hour = ",time);Oddly enough, I had the same problem when trying to retrieve ELAPSED_SECONDS via the C interface. Any attempt to display elapsedsecs.var_value.n also resulted in a black screen. Can anyone shed any light on this please?-DaiOkay - stupid here just spotted the problem. 25. Anyone out there interested in helping an old man learn a little about creating "click Spots" and adding some code to "Pop up" and enlarge a few existing gauges or panel avionics? I know enough to make backups so when I really screw up I can recover. My eyesight is not what is used to be and I have already had laser surgery (back when they put you to sleep and really used an exacto knife). :( Just looking for a pen pal that know how to do it. Thanks. RayM
