  1. Hi All, I developed embedded HTML browser for FSX/Prepar3d. You can use it for your own add-on development as it can be linked to FSX engine. Please watch the video to see what I mean: Enjoy it, cheers Marcin

  3. Hello, I`m looking at replacing the VC gauges in the JF HS748 for the HSI and heading indicator to glass displays. I`ve read various posts about how to do this and have gathered that the replacement gauges have to be the same size in order to fit the original panel layout. Would anyone know of any suitable glass replacements for the old school HSI in the HS748. Must be 256x256 as listed below: //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit01] file=$hsi_readout.bmp size_mm=256,256 visible=1 pixel_size=256,256 texture=$hsi_readout gauge00=HS748_xml!hsi_main, 0,0,256,256 //-------------------------------------…

  4. Hi there, I'm trying to find out how to program a XML gauge to operate the exits/doors and cargo hatches at the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies (Version 2.1 from 2008). PMDG has its own operation setup, so I have defined/accepted the following commands: Shift+e for the doors, shift+c for the cargo hatches, shift+j for the tail jack, shift+s for the stairs, shift+n for the nose loader and shift+q for the side loader. Does anyone know how to translate this in a XML command? I tried <Area Left="5" Top="6" Width="20" Height="20"> <Click Event="Shift+e"/> <Cursor Type="Hand"/> </Area> but this doesn't work.…

I have the F-22 downloaded from here: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/5570/fsx-f-22a-raptor-update/ Problem is when I enter an ADF frequency it won't input. Can someone look at the gauge and figure out what needs to change? I can then edit my gauge. TIA!

Hi, We are the developers of the ATR-72 500 published by McPhat/Aerosoft (pg 9, plane manual). Last year MilViz announced in their facebook page that they were developing an ATR 72-600 (see Fig. 1). When we saw the first screenshots we recognized immediately our model (see Fig. 2). We couldn’t believe it, but after making a more in depth comparison we think there’s no doubt about the matches between the two models. Getting to match the camera position, angle and focal length, and superimposing both images we what you can see in Fig. 3. We sent an email to MilViz asking them if they have used our model in any way, under permission or not, and they replied th…

Hi Guys, I’ve been flying the FeelThere E-Jets V2 for a while now, and have started to notice that the Virtual Cockpit looks pretty outdated... I was wondering whether there is a way or not to be able to completely remodel the VC and add things like 3D knobs and buttons etc. Thanks!

Hello, all. I'm hoping someone can help me out again with something. I'm trying to adjust a panel slightly in FS9 to have the standard GPS panel icon point to the standard GPS popup window but it isn't working. The particular panel has a Window01=GPS and Window08=GPS Panel. I've added the standard GPS panel icon okay but for some reason it is point to the Window01 item and I want it to point to the Window08 item. Window01 looks like... Hello. Does anyone know of a small gauge that can be added to any panel in FS9 that only shows TAS? Many of my panels don't already have anything built-in to show this and I was hoping to find something very small that just shows the TAS readout that I could add and place anywhere. Thanks!

  13. Hi, all, I have Dave Maltby's BAC-1-11 working really well in FSX. In the past I've noticed that the overhead panel would not display with certain screen resolutions. Since upgrading to Win 10 and new hardware, I've been using a resolution of 5760 x 1080. The OH panel won't display with that resolution. I just get a swirling cursor. I suspect this has something to do with the size of the panel, but I'm not sure. My question is: Rather than fooling around with resolutions, can I tweak the panel to work with my current resolution, and, if so, how? Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to configure a ButtonBox button for the VS and FLC buttons on this aircraft. It has about six functions triggered by the MouseClick on each of the VS, FLC buttons. I've tried but can't get them to work using LVARs. Therefore I am trying to get the ButtonBox button to trigger as the Mouse Event does and execute the script as if the mouse button was clicked. I've added in the Shaded Section in the script below, not having any real idea of what I'm doing... can anyone advise if there is a way to do this properly or am I wasting my time. Thanks The Joystick name is what SPADnext lists it as...

I am slowly getting my vintage WWI aircraft set for flight...if you have been following any of my other recent posts...and the one single issue that remains a "nuisance" is the prop blur issue in aircraft taken from FS2004 in to FSX. I have read pretty much every thread I could find on the issue and have come to realize there are two reasons for the prop blur masking autogen and scenery. The reasoning could be the texture is at fault or the model is at fault. The fix for the texture fault is simple and has been explained many times in various forum. I have used the method to fix the prop blur issue in many FS2004 aircraft that I have tried in FSX. However, the is…

I have several vintage WWI fighter aircraft and, although FSX will not allow you to shoot aircraft down (nor would I want to), I would like to have gun effects for them all. One, a Sopwith Camel, has a Gun.cab file with xml code inside within the panel folder that triggers the guns to fire when you pull the trigger on the joystick. Perfect! The muzzle flash is triggered by a "light effect" in the [lights] section of the aircraft.cfg and the sound comes from Doug Dawson's awesome DSD Sound xml file. All with a pull of the joystick trigger. Exactly what I want. Several of the vintage WWI aircraft that I have however have no gunfire effects whatsoever. I thought, …

One of the Virtual Airlines I belong to is going to have an event commerating the end of hostilities in "The Great War", World War I. We are going to do a fly-in/fly-over with vintage WWI aircraft. I have found working models, with virtual cockpits for FS2004, FSX, and some that say they will work in P3D; a Fokker DRI, a Fokker DVII, an Albatross DIII, a Pfalz DIIIA, a Sopwith Camel, a Vought VE-7, a Spad, and a Bristol F2B. I have been testing these in FSX SP2. Several had taxiing problems since the majority used skids and not tail wheels, but I have fixed them slowly one by one. The Bristol F2B is giving me fits, though. No matter what changes I make to the aircraft.…

I'm trying to make the radio stack tune in 1 KHz increments, but I have failed. 24. Hello, I'm John Hancock. I've been trying to get into contact with Thomas Ruth the past few months. I've done some detailed repaints for his wonderful Airbus packages (which I've received multiple praise for) through AVSIM. While I believe the aircraft is a work of art (especially on the outside), one thing has always made me feel awkward: the cockpit. The copy-paste textures of the A321's cockpit felt somewhat cheap and looked awful with the low-resolution. Here are a few shots I've put together of a WIP of HD cockpit textures so far as well as altered avionics to better match the more realistic counterpart. (Done on the A343 V2) The white represents untouched surfac…

Only a few minutes ago but... Some additional updates to the new section on using SimConnect as a gauge. Three new sections on setting up Visual Studio, one new topic on communicating with XML gauges. Other minor and not-so-minor corrections and updates throughout the document. Bill; can you do the usual sticky trick please? I'd also be grateful if you could transfer it to flightsim.com as I've lost my login credentials (for the second time... )
