Hi guys... I'm extremely new to this XML thing. So new I don't even know what it is but I suspect it's the reason why I can't get this great 737NG panel to work properly. I can get the panel up with the aircraft but I can't get any of the guages working. Please see below...Any advice? Thanks!!!

I remember seeing a picture of a Gmax Robinson 44 helicopter being designed. If that designer is out there, hows the project going and could you post some updates?

Where does one start? I eventually want to build planes for sale and I am wondering how ot go about getting my own sounds. I would love to rent a spit for a couple of hours and runn the tape recorder, but lets face, I don't have access to a spit. So how does a person get a set of sounds that you can be copyrighted? Are there sound designers out there that could be contracted out? Would they take a flat rate or want a percentage? What is the going rate for a sound set? I know how to cut and paste sounds, but if they are someone elses sounds, just hacking them up and disguising them, is still illegal. So......anyone who has any ideas, I am all ears!!!Cheers

I have had this tool since FS98/fs2000 days. Does anyone else use it? I find it very helpful with placing images for the gauges, its XML interface is helpful getting things in order.

Hi all again,My airplane has three tanks of fuel (left, central and right) and for my panel I want to make three independent switches that control if one of those tanks is activated or not. Each switch can have only two positions, on or off, so that if it is on, that tank will give combustible and not if it is off, but working independently of the other two tanks. I have attempted it with (A:Fuel tank selector 1,enum), but this is a enumerated variable I don't know how to program the two only positions that it should admit each switch. Thanks for your ideas,Rafael

Is there a way to make theses dumbass piston engines catch before reaching approx. 400 RPM when starting? It looks very unrealistic to have a starter that turns that fast! I've tried everything. Anyone have an idea? Thanks

I downloaded MS FSSDK Building panels and gauges and there is a problem .I can compile gauge to .gau file without problems (VisualC++ 6.0) but when I try to put gauge in panel with CfgEdit it says:Can't Load bitmap for Gauge00, 'Main Altitude'.File "D:FS2002gaugesHAWK.gau" does not contain a valid bitmap in resource 0And if I add gauge manually to panel.cfg it doesn't show in panel. What is the problem? I guess it's really simple and easy, but I can't find it.

I think I would like to try to make some interior views for a Bell P39D Airacobra. The plane and panel are already available somewhere but there are no views out the side. Do you have to start with a photograph or do you draw them from scratch? I have Paintshop Pro. This may be too complex for me as I am no artist, so any advice on how to get started would be most appreciated. Thanks,John Woodward

HiIn our aircraft we want a _fully_ (meaning that it shouldn't respond to interrogations in wrong modes, pluss other minor features) functional KT76 transponder, but I have major problems getting it to work properly whenever I choose to autotune (accepting transponder code via the ATC menu) and the unit is turned off. When the unit is turned off, accepting a code from ATC makes the unit go quite mad (as observed while monitoring the variables in another gauge). What I need is either:1) Unit turned on (mode c) and code entered and displayed.2) Code displayed, but not turned on, needing 0000 as actual code. This is not for the faint-hearted, and some code may not be "up to st…

Can anyone explain the two settings 'rparams=' and 'vparams=' in the sound.cfg file?Or does anyone know if there is a tutorial on FS sounds.I've looked in all the obvious places & come up with absolutely nothing.I was sure there was an SDK about it from MS, but when I went to download it, it doesn't exist.Any info at all is a help to me.ThanksDavid Maltby

Hey all. This is one of those questions for the guys that understand all the different numbered sections in the AIR file.I have an FDE that is working ok as far as performance goes, but I have absolutelly no drag when the gear is lowered. What section do I go to? I have AirED, or whatever the Abacus FDE editor is called, and I have increased the number in the section named for gear drag (or at least I think that's what it says), but to no avail. Also, by inputing the right geometrical parameters for the aircraft as well as engine data, the plane does not perform even close to the real one. I need a lot more speed, and had to lower the Parasite Drag to the maximum (minimu…

Hi, In a break from the other gauges I have been working on I decided to try and make a KX155A Nav Com. I have everything working EXCEPT for the frequency button. It has been driving me crazy. I tested the radio in FS with the default NavCom, and the button on that one swaps the frequencies on mine, so that would isolate it down to the swap button on my radio. I get a hand cursor when I mouse over it, but clicking appears to do nothing. Here is the code for the com swap: (A:COM_RADIO_SWAP)The Nav 1 is nearly identical except with the corresponding key event.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Ian Grant

I have FS2000 Pro but I only have the normal FS2002. I tried to transfer the Mooney Bravo (not the IFR one) and the Beech King Air planes to FS2002 (because they are only included in the FS2002 Pro version, I think). However when I tried to load it up the model and cockpit interior loaded up fine but there were no gauges. Are there any updates for these gauges. I tried copying the .GAU files across but the same files seemed to be already there in FS2002.Any help is very much appreciatedThanksStephen

A couple of years ago I had a small freeware utility on my HD that could draw the circular "scale" you find on round mechanical gauges. I can`t find this program now ( It`s been several formats and a computer change since I used it...) Does anyone know where to download this program , or better yet, know how to create this effect in PS7?Vandal

Hi...I'm new in the forum and I already have a question...I've done about 5 gmax aircraft, they look ok but when I make the textures for them they look weird, it doesn't have the impact as other textures I've seen in other fs2002 aircraft. My question is what software can I use to make cool texture efects (like dirt, oil, 3d effects and stuff like that)...This Twin Otter is an example of that...Cheers :-beerchug

Hi team.I am working on an accurate flight model for my A-4 cockpit project.I started with Lewis Magruders very cool FS98 model, converted it to FS2002 then changed all the good stuff like wing area, sweep, root chord etc.Next up was fuel tank locations and sizes. The problem I now have is this:Up to about 220KIAS the thing flies really well, and achieves an approach speed which is correct by the flight manual. BUT above 220KIAS the thing oscillates in pitch something terrible! It does not get any worse, it's like there is a pitch up which is seriously over damped or something!I have tried moving the static CoG around, and also changing the loaded fuel quantities, but to…
