Project AI is badly in need of more GMax modelers. We are looking for anyone who can model aircraft with low poly counts, suitable for AI use. Though you would receive no compensation, you would get good publicity throughout the FS2002 community. If anyone has old GMax work blow the dust off and show us!Let me make one thing clear though, we DO NOT WANT alot of detail, as few details as possible, while maintaining the shape and feel of the aircraft. In other words, we need aircraft with a minimal impact on frame rates.Become part of our terrific team, email [email protected] or [email protected] before anyone asks, no ProjectAI is not in bad shape, we havent lost an…

Hi!I would like to learn to fly the Boeing 737-200 following the correct procedures. Aircraft manuals often reffer to EPR (Engine Pressure Ratio) settings for different stages on flight. This is characteristic of the -200 series, because the primary instrument for power setting is the EPR indicaton, not N1% and N2% as on the other 737s. I did a search looking for good aircraft-panel combinations (I don't care about external look), but I still haven't found a panel which correctly displays EPR, or an aircraft that delivers the right numbers. The closest I've been was using Jon Murchison's ZK-NAC. Some of the numbers are right (mainly N1% and N2% - although indicators are re…

Since the Fs2002 came out and the first people started to experiment i tried to add engine exhaust smoke to the AI Planes.I experimented with xml and I can add almost anything to the own "active" plane, including somke, wing tip contrails and all this stuff. But I never made it to add engine smoke to the "passive" AI Planes.Has anybody experimented with that? I really would appreciate some serious advise.Furthermore I would like to see the strobes also during day and not only at dusk, dawn and night. Has anybody already found a solution for this problem? Thanks for taking you the timeChris*** Visit us at http://www.A320FlightDeck.com ***

Project AI/ASADesigns 717-200.This model will first be made for AI purposes only, and then turned into user models. Afterwards it will be stretched to make the MD80/90 models for FS2002.Here are some screens:

I suspect FS2002 works in reverse logic as far as radios are concerned.I omitted the RADIO section from an aircraft.cfg file assuming FS would take this as "no radio kit installed". I have no com/nav gauges in the panel.cfg file either. But, flying over an airfield, I heard the unmistakable sound of a MM signal! Is it more correct to add the RADIO section to the aircraft.cfg file and zero the initial values of each line?If the answer to the above question is yes then what does FS use as the default values for the radio kit?

I'm currently flying the Archer II. When in 2D mode when I pull up the radio stack or gps, it comes up and blends in nicely with the panel (no border)When in the Virtual Cockpit mode, however, when I pull up the radio stack, gps, or other windows, they appear with my blue Windows border around them.Is there an easy way that I can get rid of the Windows border in VC mode without changing my Windows XP desktop settings?Hope this makes sense. The Archer II VC has a really nice look, but when pulling up (shitft-2) the radio stack in VC mode and having my bright blue Windows border anouncing "Radio Stack" in the corner somehow detracts from the overall effect. Thanks, Steve J…

Gmax and developing a Multiple Material: This tutorial is aimed at showing you how to create a Multiple Material containing 20 sub-materials and use Multiple Material IDs to control them when applied to a single object created in Gmax. This can be a very handy way to map objects. It will allow you to adjust the properties of one sub-material without affecting any of the adjacent materials. The UVW map will be used as the template to develop a texture set using your favorite graphics editor. Paint Shop Pro is used for this tutorial. It's a safe bet to assume other graphics packages are also capable of this as well. You will also cover using the Listener Window to record so…

Is there anywhere I can get the FS2000 default Concorde (full package, sound, model, panel etc.) without using the FS2000 disk?

Is there a way to raise the seat without rolling the view when referring to a, say, forward_right_view? I saw VIEW_UP_EYE in the SDK but no examples. Wonder if this is what it takes.Dave Vega

Greetings, I have an XML gauge and associated effect working undercertain conditions: also, I want the effect to only occurduring "night", "dusk", or "dawn". That is to say, anytimebut "day", referencing "local" time. I could have the gaugetest for "local_time", but that doesn't allow for seasonalvariation in the beginning time of "dusk" etc...Any ideas are appreciated:)JR

I have a wish for a simple, prefferable XML gauge, what is invisible and monitors the engines. It should look for engine abuse. For example:- when engines run at 100% power for an x period of time, they die.- engine reliability settable. For example an unreliable engine could die below 100% running.- if possible, egt, oil temp and other readouts will go weird, causing an engine to stop. For props the gauge could play with the mixture to simulate a stuttering engine before it drops out of power.Who can do this?Johan

Hi all,I need to program a gauge in xml format that allows that when the airplane is loaded in FS2002, appear empty of fuel. I have try with the following code, in a gauge that is loaded to the beginning, but it doesn't work.(A:Fuel tank left main level, percent) 0 ==(A:Fuel tank right main level, percent) 0 ==(A:Fuel tank center level, percent) 0 ==Can somebody help me?ThanksRafael

Just downloaded and installed a PO Airbus and can't get the frequencies to change on Com, Nav1 or Nav2, when attempting to change radio stack freq. I may have lost my default gauges when program asked me to overwrite. Couldn't get it to install if I did not overwrite. Any help will be appreciated.

HiI was just tuning in a DME on my radio, but it wouldn't give any ident morse. I checked the maps, and it was indeed a Tacan. Are there no idents associated with Tacans? Are they at all tunable from normal DME equipment in real life?I don't know any pure DME stations in my area, and the plane I'm usually with don't even have such equipment (old PA-28). So, does pure DME stations have morse idents? If there are any difference between real world Tacan and DME regarding idents, would it be possible to distinguish between the two types in xml code? My textual gets the Tacan/DME station identifier, but there is no morse to be heard.

Well, Im trying to do a Citation I/II panel, I have a poster of a nice source to a good panel, as u can see attached, I have the whole idea of a good panel, just like the Airbus PSS, the main panel, and the toggles Start panel(the whole process to start a citation from batt up to engines) and I work in a Air Taxi here in Brazil with fleet of 5 diferent Citations and King Air

If any body can answer this question it would be greatly appreciated. I know how to make transparent windows but, they do not come out with that real glass look that the default king air, etc. result. Could someone please tell me how to produce this effect and is it possible to apply this effect while in the gmax program ? thanks
