I was wondering what the best MD-80 Panel is to use with the following models. MD-81/82/83 and 87/88 models. Also I was wondering how the Project Aircraft MD-80 is coming along. I hope the model will be alot better than Vans Aircraft Co. Any info would be appreciated.Thank You,Kurt

Need help!Trying to make one good plane out of two.Plane A flies great, looks bad.Plane B looks great, flies bad.I need to know if there is a way to take the flight characterists from plane A and put them into Plane B and still have FS2002 Pro recognize it?Tried everything!!!Had one suggestion that worked one another plane, but, FSEdit doesn't recognize this plane when I do it that way.Same type of plane F18.Thanks, Kloyce

I am developing a radar gauge which uses vector graphics. It works perfect, but the vector drawings of the gauge do not appear in virtual cockpit mode.Any explanation?Thanks in advance !!Eric

Can someone tell me why I am getting a 'reversed image' of the gauges on the backside of the panel consoles?It doesn't bother me about the two lower 'kneepanel' consoles, but the reversed image of the compass (barely visible in the picture) is distracting... :)I suspect that it is because I am using the object itself as the 'projection screen,' rather than having a transparent panel in front of the object. I'm trying this because then I don't have to map the base texture onto the object separately, but can specify the image in the [Vcockpit_xx] part of the .cfg file.

Are there any FS2002 freeware radio stacks (not garmins) out there that look real. Also are there any freeware gauge design sites that have gauges to download. Thanks guys!

please help l use to have a gforce2 mx400 it was great l saw the silver metallic paint, now l have a gforce 4 mx440 64meg carn`t see the silver matallic paint under the 737 ....ect... could someone help me please what can l do.....

Is there a way to detect if we are inside or outside the plane with a gauge ? (to switch cockpit sound off/on)I counted on the predraw callback while I think that fs2002 should make a difference and not draw the gauge if the panel isn't displayedbut no luck on this one.Thanks Dan

I managed to get backlighted VC gauges working, but somehow they got "broken," meaning gmax crashed before I had a chance to save the file, and the autobackup got overwritten before I noticed the problem...Basically, I created a pure black (0,0,0) file named $dvc.bmp and used that as the diffuse material for the gauge 'screen.'I created a nearly pure white 254,254,254 file named dvc_l.bmp and used that as the self-illuminating mask in the Material Editor.It worked great, except for being tied to the landing lights, but now... this 'trick' won't work at all.Anyone have a clue?

Hey all --I am working on an expansion to my previous project, which was Fred Edit 1.1. I am looking to make this dealie into a SDI type inferface. I would like to, however, keep my old project together(which was a Dialog Based app), and just add the dialogs from my old app into the new one, keeping settings such as mapped variables to controls in there also. I've had some experiences with the Dreamfleet Cardinal and I'd really like to have a plane/panel that's more realistic then the default ones. But at the moment I just don't have the money to buy one..I searched around but cannot really find a review or link to a good realistic GA panel. Can anyone tell me which is the best freeware GA panel there is at this moment...? Or can they really not compare with stuff like the DF Cardinal...?

If I change the ADF frquency on any of my panels to LPL (349.5) it will not recognise the decimal figure and reverts to 349.0, It used to work and I must have done something for this to happen. Could someone please help me get my NDBs back.....

I was modifying my C421 from Flight1 to install the Reality XP gauges directly into the panel. So far I am liking the results although it needs a bit more work. The main view seems ok but not the landing view, which I use most. The virtual panel is seen beyond the landing view panel. Also alot of the view buttons are not calling the appropriate panel. Here is the pic, the original cfg file which is called backup and the actual CFG file as modified by Panel Studio.The cfg files are linked as .txt files after the pic, the first one is the one done with Panel Studio, the second one is the originalThanks Mark

I'm working on a tutorial to teach some principals of instrument flying and I wanted to record an FS2002 flight, then add either verbal narration and text to be visible if the user were to playback the recorded flight. Is there an easy way to do this? I know FS2002 can record a flight, but I have no idea how to make it say certain things at a certain timeline in a recorded flight.Note: This does not have to be interactive like in the default FS2002 lessons, just "VCR like" playback.Thank you again,Enrique

Hey all.Is it possible to open a gmax file in 3ds max 4.2? I have tried exporting from gmax (if I could, the .3ds format would be great), but gmax apparently does not allow me to export, with the option grayed out in the menu?

I am new to plane modellling and I have a question about texture mapping in FSDS.I know how to paint 1 part at a time. I am building a plane with many parts and I would like to decrease the number of Bitmaps I use. I know how to paint multiple parts in FSDS but I see many bitmaps on FS models that will include parts that when viewed from any perspective, that part would be covered by another part. I guess what I am looking for is a way to include many seperate parts on one bitmap.Any advice will do.Thanks

I guess I've been at this too long!I just recently purchased FS Panel Studio (fantastic program). I am trying to edit a gauge bitmap and am getting this error message when I click on "Edit Gauge":Can't create a work copy of this Gauge: Access is denied.I am sure (pretty sure) I was doing this before. It is an FS98 (copy of Lear_45.Flaps.gau) and all I'm trying to do is change the color of the bitmap image.I have checked my Gauge directory and the gauge itself to make sure it is not read-only as it sure sounds like that's what it's complaining about but all seems well. I am working on a Schweizer sailplane, and I am wondering if it is possible make the wind noise increase when the spoilers are open. Also I'm wondering how to make the lock/unlock sounds when the spoilers open and close.
