Just felt like posting that I'm alive, and so is my project :)It's been a few months, but I did some more work on the Saab 2000, tweaking the windows again. I also exported it for the first time today. Udo Lemmob, who was also working on a Saab 2000, advised me at one point that the prop spinners wouldn't export for him the first time, and...funny thing, they didn't work for me either. I also have a bunch of bleed problems...guess you can't do overlapping parts, huh? Anyone know of a good way to join a wingroot and a fuselage to avoid bleed problems without having to do major reworking?Anyway, here's a screenshot of the plane in FS2002. Hi all,I really disappointed to not have a really good A330/A340 aircraft. It seems that it's the only missing for the big jets right now!Simulation for me is the pratical issue, this is, how you handle the a/c and not the beautifull textures and shapes that he has. Of course it's important too, but the PANEL is the most important thing to me. And specially with FMC!We have Simubuild and FlightCrafts A340, that are incredible as models but there is no "great" panel. Panels for me is PSS, PIC or DF like!!And why in the hell DF dropped their project! I'm sure every DF737 owner would by a A340! That's for sure!So, does anyone knows where I can find a decent panel for the A33…

I notticed some people was wondering how to repaint planes like me and it seemed difficult to find some good tutorials. After some search i will highly recomend Eric Joiner's Alluminium Cloud. Lastnight, everything was working just fine...This afternoon, I began working on my little Socata again, and suddenly GMAX is crashing with a non-explained fatal error everytime I select the Material Library, which locks up the 'puter so hard it requires a cold boot to get it going again.After many frustrating attempts to localize the problem, it is clearly NOT related to my a/c's file(s), because it will do the same thing with any file gmax or 3ds import.It will do the same thing even if I try to apply a texture to a simple box or sphere.In desperation, I d/l'ed the entire GMAX install package from discreet, uninstalled GMAX, deleted the entire leftbehind folder(s) and d…

Hi to all, After a long time making repaints of AC, I decided to go back to my modeling times. I recall using a tool called Lithunwrap, which I DL, but unfortunately I lost on my last HD crash....I heard is payware now, is it the same version that was freeware long time ago? If it's another version, where can I get the free one, and what has been added in the update?If the freeware is no longer available, are there any others utlilities for the job, are they expensive?what is the best tool to do the texture templates for a newly designed model?Thanks for your help, this is for an FPS friendly ATR that is in the works now ;-)

Got 2 questions;1) When I clone my model to make the interior group, when exporting the interior and exterior to FS2002 I get an "Explicit OBED Scaling" error, and a model the size of the Hindenburg. When I export I use Middleman which makes it a one step process, therefore not needing to rename the interior file. Most everything else works fine. 2) When in flightsim, I do not get sound in both exterior and interior. Now when I fly I get sound inside but not outside.Misc. I am also having a problem with lights not working and the main prop_still is still during flight. The prop I think forgot to rename to still_01. And the lights I might not have been able to see due to …

Ok, here comes a stupid question from the dumb ol' fueler.I hate some of the way some of my planes fly. I'm useing a force feedback version 1 stick on flight sim 2k2. Some of the planes seem like a rock trying to get them in the air. Then when I get them in the air the stick seems like I'm flying a DC-8 with no hydraulics!!! Pushing forward on the stick I think I'd have a better chance in moveing the house off the foundation!! Then it all of the sudden lets go and I'm in a steep dive for the green!!!!!! Whats up with that???? Can I go into the aircraft model and alais a flight dynamics from a different plane? Or do i have to change some values some where? If the latter w…

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to modify the default pan settings? I know how to do zoom and position, but how about panning up and down. For example, on the new POSKY CRJ, I would like to have the default view panned down a little so that I can see the gauges, not just the top of the glareshield.Thanks,

In former years we could deal with adv programs like GPWS 6.0 and later for FS95/98 With this program (adventure) we could simulate GPWS sounds that we now have with most commercial ad-onns.But most of all we could use keyboard schortcuts like "~ 090" witch would set the autopilot heading to 90 degrees or " 070 witch would set the autopilot altitude to fl 70 (7000ft).These shortcuts were read back with voice via a package called AAF.WAV in the default adv/wav folder.This way of short-cutting buttons/or mouse were verry handy when flying online.Is there anything like that for use with FS2K2? I have been try to use the tutorials and a webpage to design a fuselage but I am having a hard time creating one.1. Here is the problem. When I cut the cylinder in half the side only shows and not the ends. (see screenshot). Then I use instance to model both sides at once.2. I am having trouble using xform to mold the fuselage.Can anyone direct me to some other sites that would be easier?Also the people who have made these great models like Posky, do they have a background in engineering or modeling or something? I was told that Probst's new 727 panel had one, but I can find it (the INS). Can you??It would be so great with an INS to fly the 727, DC-9, DC-10 etc. It's a bit hard to fly VOR/NDB to VOR/NDB on longer flights, specially trans-atlantic. I don't like to use the FS2k2 GPS. Sometimes I use the ACS-GPS with the DC-9 though.Cheers,Christian
