Sorry if this is old news. I'm pretty new to this panel creating business. Searched the forums and found nothing relevant so I'm asking...I just finished putting together a FS2002 panel for a Piper Malibu Mirage using a panel from the Abacus Mirage and the very nice one Mike Stone built. I am using the T.I.T. that came with Mike's panel (mirage_tit_ff) but it does not work with my panel. It worked in his but not in mine. It just sits at zero and never moves. All his other gauges work fine. In fact, this is the only thing that doesn't work. I've looked through the panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg for anything that might clue me in but have come up short.Any advice or hin…

My name is Joe and I would like any help on thriung to design my own Gmax aircraft. I would like to do a really good DC-10. I know FFG has one, but I am not happy with their models, I like all asspects of an aircraft to work, from the control surfaces to the thrust reversers, being an aircraft mechanic i can be very picky about the aircraft in my "hanger". any and all help is welcome.

As a response to Arne's suggestion to use (P:Absolute time, X)rather than (P:Local time, X) for timers and the like. I did some testing and found that (P:Absolute time, X) does work...but.. not with seconds. "Minutes" as a unit works fine, but.. not if you multiply it by 60 to get seconds. ( too large a number ? ) Use fractional minutes for timers instead. AND :-) It does not crossover at all on New Years.. These are very large numbers, from 6 significant digits to 10 significants. Tested from the year 100 AD to the year 9999 AD in FS @ 0 degrees west. . Haven't found a start or an end to these values. It must end somewhere.. Maybe when FS2004/5 is released ? :-lol For…

Hi,I wonder when to use container tag and what implications that have on the gauge..Secondly I wonder a bit about the speedbug see my code. How does the scale work ? What does the min and maximum values mean, is it knots? My bug seems to freeze somewhere in the higer and lower parts of the speedmeter How do I change that to fit?BrgsEugen(A:Airspeed select indicated or true, knots)(A:Airspeed select indicated or true, knots) (A:Autopilot airspeed hold var, knots) -

Hi!Some time ago, I've read about somebody in this forum who wanted to make a Homepage for XML-Gauges. Where as much XML-Gauges as possible are uploaded and were information about this gauge-programming technologie is found! For discussing, AVSIM Online is the best, but the idea with the homepage was a good one. But who was it? If many developers would also upload a discribtion on how his/her XML Gauge is built and working, many new developers will be glad to have this help and the "old" ones could also find some new or other ways to programm a gauge.Best regards,Harald :-)

I Digitized some sections from a model aircraft kit to surface within CATIA v5 today during lunch. CATIA is known throughout the Design industry for its first surface CLASS A capabilities. Boeing, Airbus, DaimlerChrysler and many privately owned shops use this CADCAM package. I exported the model from CATIA to an .STL file (Solid Modeled), as its DXF export is primarily 2D. I then found a utility called STLUTIL that would convert this to a .DXF. I loaded the file into FSDS and what do you know! Now all I have to do is call some buddies in Germany to send me the native CATIA files and export them directly into FSDS or GMAX. Then I don't think anybody can tell me the shape …

Having a bit of trouble trying to get my head round this one...1) Not sure if I am using the correct a-vars? 2) The X value has to be tied into the Z-axis is that correct? What about the Y value? Here's what I have so far...(A:YOKE X POSITION, percent) (A:YOKE Y POSITION, percent) & Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. AndrewP.S Also looking for a TCAS gauge - I saw a really good one on the new Dash-8 project out labelled 'TCAS II' - however this has been built into the package. Anyone know of any others available? Have searched the libraries with little success...:-(

Hi, I have a problem. I am making Robert Versluys A321 in GMAX. But I don't know how to make the animations, so I need some help. I know there are some tutorials but I don't understand them. Can somebody help/explain me, in an easy way, because I am new to designing?

I'm about burned out on trying to solve a mystery...At night, all the gauges on my VC panel simply disappear! During the first part of dawn, they will suddenly appear in the VC view.I've searched backwards, and apparently as of last May, no one had figured out how the Falcon 50 manages to have lighted gauges at night... :(I've addedlight.5=4, -3.326790,-0.986815,1.640420, fx_vclightto the aircraft.cfg, and now have a soft glow in the cabin that will illuminate the panel, but...without any freaking gauges it just looks silly! :)Help! I'm going blind from all the reading I've done so far.

I would like to start out by saying that I am so greatful that there are people like you out there who design and create panels and aircraft. Not to mention the individuals who record and edit sound files to complete the enhancements to MSFS. Flying would never have been this good without all your efforts. In general, I am interested in how one would establish the positions for guages, buttons etc... in a panel layout. I have opened a panel.cfg file and assume that the numbers behind the file id's are the location and size of the guage. Is there a map or layout numbering system that one uses when designing a panel.Just curious,Rob HalmichVancouver, British Columbia

Im just delving into creating a new Aircraft model to update my existing one. Can someone give a brief outline of the steps needed please.I see that Gmax can export to an .mdl file but you cannot import one to modify. Once you have your .mdl file - then what? -- is it directly useable by FS?thanks in advance for any assistance.Graeme Rodgers

I know this question has probably already been asked...I want to start doing repaints for fs2002 and I was wondering, what program would be the best to use for it? Also if you have any good tips for me, I could use them.
