When I load up MSFS2k2 with my skymaster now the whole world slowly but surely turnes dark as seen in the pic below, square by square untill its like an elipse or something. all the detail of my model is lost at this time as well, even though it looks fine upon loading. no other planes do this and I retraced my steps and deleted the changes I had made upon the development of the prob to no avail..still the world fades...I hope someone else out there has had this prob thx in advance

I am Flying an excellent Turbo Prop that seems to bo impossible to maintain a reasonable ground speed while taxiing. At almost zero thrust ground roll can be as high as 45 knots. What are some good settings to fiddle with to get the speed down? Also trim tabs are way too sensitive. Any suggestions here???Bill

Greetings,For those having CFS2 AI warbirds in FS2002, example beingthe B-25 with addon panel, good sounds are needed...With just a few sound.cfg file changes, the CFS3 AC sounds willwork perfectly in FS2002 and sound great! The wonderful A-26 Invader, recently available for d/l, soundsreally good using the CFS3 B-26 sound file in FS2002(or CFS2).This means there is now quite a variety of new sound files availablefor simmers with both CFS3 and FS2002!If there is interest, I will post the details of the minor changesneeded to the .cfg file :DJR

FS2002 Application Note [/p] [/p]Organize your {Airplane Geometry} section [/p] [/p]The following is an example of a typical Airplane Geometry section that comes with a downloaded Sim model. This data was likely generated from running the Sim with an Aircraft.CFG file containing only a preamble such that it could be selected in the FS menus. The Aircraft.CFG file is then generated by FS2002 and the values are populated into each section based on the AIR and perhaps the MDL file. [/p] [/p] [/p]Sample {airplane_geometry} section:{airplane_geometry}wing_area=6470.000000wing_span=231.833333wing_root_chord=29.000000wing_dihedral=6.998291wing_incidence=0.000000wing_twist=-3.999…

I just wanted to show a picture of my P39 so far, and say thanks to all those who have helped with the animation difficulties. I just finished the wheels and gear and had far fewer problems than with the other parts. I guess I am climbing the learning curve.I will probably have some more questions soon.John Woodward

I have added a simple gauge I created to monitor autopilot status to my downloads page. I created it while developing my a/p gauges. It is very hand to have a gauge that will display autopilot figures and mode but not be able to affect the a/p settings. It is also handy if you find the ap settings hard to read on the aircraft's a/p.Autopilot Viewhttp://www.city-gallery.com/vpilot/download.htmlSteve

Three new FSDS tutorials have been added to the tutorial section of Daviator.com with more FSDS 2.0 specific on the way. Topics include: Basic backdrop setup, scaling and alignment. Shaping a fuselage and working with cross sections. Cutting windows and doors into a fuselage and animate doors using keyframes in FSDS 2.0. Thanks, Davewww.daviator.com

G'day there,Anyone else having trouble with Johan's flight dynamics with the latest Meljet 744? It seems on approach to fall like a brick even with little fuel on board, we're talking nearly -1000fpm at about 145kts and flaps 30.Anyone else think something is a-miss here?Regards,Andrew

Hi all,The jsPANELS.com 737 Project Team is working on a new FS2002 Boeing 737-400 project. One of the vital parts of this project is the new MCP, which is progammed in XML. To enable the communication between the FSNavigator System and the new MCP, a gauge which works as an interface between these two is required. This gauge is programmed in C++ using the FS2002 SDK and the FSNAVGauge.h.Roman Stoviak (RS):-------------------The MCP is programmed in such a way that it acts as close as possible to the real 737. Provisions have been made so that the GPS can be incorporated as LNAV with no problems. The panel we are working on also has provisions to use FSNAV as a LNAV and V…

Hello,Lately, I have been spending an ample amount of time in the screenshots forum. I must say, there are some great "shots" of some of the best freeware and payware I've seen to date. I happen to be a big fan of the ole' steam gauge aircraft! And it seems that these have been somewhat overlooked by most of the big name developers out there.Dreamfleet is doing a 727.. as is Captain Sim (or so it seems)PSS and Wilco are both doing the Airbus 320 .... and so on...I think I speak for a large amount of flight simmers when I inquire about a nice.. high-end DC-8 and/or L1011 package! Both of which I would have no problem paying these 20-40 dollar pricetags.I have looked arou…

Hi Everyone,I am new to building in Gmax and new to building planes in general. I am working on a Saab 340. It's going alright so far. Currently I am working on the nose and this is where I need a little help...or a tip. I have the right side of the cockpit/nose area looking a lot like a Saab. Are there any tools in Gmax that would allow me to mirror the right side over to the left side so I don't have to physically move each vertex on the left to approximate the same position on the right? Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I am now downlaoding the rest of the gmax files starting with the help files and I will then get the tutoriels then teh textures for my planes i will figure out how to repaint planes later the cub will be basic it wil include an original panel that I will make from photos and I will make the .CFG file from the specifications it will fly just like the real plane but it will be built in about 10 to 14 hours total time

Is there any solution to the streaky appearance pictured below. I am converting my DHC-2 so that it can use refl texts. The problem existed in v1, but I thought this was something that could be fixed in v2. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

hello all :-)Havent made a post in a while but wanted to let everyone get a look at my first Gmax project as it stands. model is about 99 percent done, just cleaning it up now. if anyone is interested in helping out with the flight dynamics and textures let me know ;-) i'm dreading these aspectshope i'm going in the right direction with this model, it is a version of teh skymaster that doesnt exist (exept in my mind) a 2002 release from Cessna :-)

For some reason I don't have any landing light splash on the sides of my fuselage during dusk. I distinctly remember having this but for some reason i don't have this now. Not all the models had it but none of the ones that did have it now..puzzling. Anyone got any ideas about why?? I DO have this at night but not during the dusk hour or so.Hornit

Hey all, new guy here and I've been into the FS scene for awhile now most recently Falcon 4, I bought FS2002 about a month and a half ago and it's about all I do now. Once I realized the add on possiblities within FS02 I've been tinkering with the idea of making my own aircraft, once I saw a picture of a Lancair I knew I wanted to make my own aircraft. But are there factors which would preclude me from making an acurate model? I ask this because (To my dismay) there are no FS2002 Lancairs available, to my knowledge at least. I guess the main reason for my concern is I don't want to get haf way into something and find out this or that can't be modeled correct…
