Hi Guys Some time ago i read a post that by altering some lines in the config file you could have the contrails appear as if the are coming from the eng a bit further back than they are in the default setting, i have done a search but came up with nothing. Hey guys,I just piked up FS2k2 a week or so ago, been flying flight sims and RC planes for years and years. Anyways, I turned my AI traffic up to 100% and I still have yet to see a single AI plane flying around.I'm working off of a default install. I haven't added anything custom at all yet.Any ideas on how I can get some company in the barren skies?Thanks,Lupus

Can anyone help with this? I downloaded two combat sim aircraft - p51 ridge runner - they install ok and display in the selection screen but the actual aircraft model is invisible in FS2002. Is this cos they are only for the combat sim? It's really strange as the panel and sounds are fine!

Hi All,Back in the FS2000 days I enjoyed flying the Boeing 757 aircraft along wiith the " PIC 767 Flight-Deck ". Does anybody know of a 757 aircraft for FS2002 that is tweaked for the " PIC 767 Flight-Deck " ?.It would be great to have them up and flying again...of course a GMax 757 along with the Chrome A/A textures would be a dream.ThanksRobert

I just finished reading the wish list for FS2004, some people say that most of the things can be achieved through add ons, but i wonder, is there a possibility to create add ons that for example could give simmer the posibility to request altitude changes, or establish holding patterns, alternate airports, etc, is not that i doubt about the talent of the developers, taking a look a the core of this feature, seems to be that is not as open to the developers as the posibility to design and paint AC and scennery for example.I've seen the beautiful workaround that AFCAD gives to the issue of the single runway ops, but that is only a workaround, and I think that as far as the …

I have an ASUS P4-1.6GHz mother board, a GeForce4 MX 420 graphics card (with the lastest drivers 28.32 downloaded from NVIDIA), I run the system with Microsoft XP. My inability to fly FS2K2 with SB started after the upgrade, with freezing of the PC at unexpected and inconsistent times.I followed the good advice I got in this forum, which included (as a last resort) a total reformat of the hard drive.After all the reformat, the first flight of FS2K2 in SB, resulted in a frozen mouse. So did the second. The third attempt resulted in a black screen with a total (automatic) reboot.Now, SB cannot find the "multiplayer session" I open in FS2K2 and therefore, I cannot properly s…

I downloaded the DC2 described in the "retro" thread, and am having trouble installing. I know you have to install the fs2000 model then put in the update but it's not working for me. Can someone explain the steps to install this aircraft? Thanks.

OK, last fall i did as easy upgrade of my Dell XPS T600; I went fromthe 600mhz P3 to a 1ghz P3. I also got a GF3 64MB some time lastsummer.I thought my I was the end of the line for processor upgrades, butthere is a company called www.powerleap.com that uses celerons as upgrades for old slot 1 / slot 2 P3 systems. Well folks,I have been a user of MSFS since 5.0 and a participating member of the AVSIM forums for over five years, but I have just about had it with FS2002. OK, please don't flame me for being thick as pig Sh**te but I need to ask a question. :)When I'm in any of the Cessnas I can't seem to get about 6-7 thousand feet without it starting to stall. I've tried reducing the VS to help it climb, but no look. I have the sim set on hard so I can have crash damage enabled so I think maybe thats the problem. I'm sure a Cessna can climb higher than that in real life, but why not on my FS2002?Is it anything to do with the prop angle or mixture? I would like to add vapor trails to all of my aircraft. I am wondering what the numbers mean in the aircraft.cfg. Obviously it has to do with the placement of where the trails come off the aircraft model, but what does each number designate? Also what does the +/- mean? I have been able to add this effect to one of my aircraft so far, but I have had problems with doing others due to my lack of knowledge and bad estimation regarding the aircraft.cfg. I would like to add this to the flap edges on some aircraft as well. I know this can be done quite easily if I could pinpoint the position with accurate .cfg numbers. Hi,Can anybody inform me why I lose FPS over a long flight and when Isave and return to that airport the FPS is back high again. Is thereanyway of minimising this loss in FPS? What is the best setting forthe scenery library cache as example. i have most sliders almost at nil and still it occurs. I am using a 1.9 GHZ Athlon, 512 Ram with a 128 Nivida G Force 3T200. Has anyone used airport 2000 vol. 3 from Wilco Publishing to work properly on FS2002?....I mean it works but the scenery is not right..for example...the building and runways are off and static aircraft are dock on top of the building...does anyone have a fix for this...I already download the patch from wilco...any thing will help....

I was told that a virtual "phenomenom" takes place if you try to land your aircraft at Florida's Palm Beach Intl. airport at night on Runway 9L. (Only happens when it's dark outside) Try it and see! Has anyone read anything about this ghostly and drastic frame rate drop problem and is there a fix? "Mike" from Ocala says this issue was written about somewhere but he can't recall where.
