Garmin provides great simulators of its line of GPS units (free downloads at garmin.com). The flying club I belong to has several planes outfitted with the 430 and the simulator is the preferred method to train. Still, I can't help thinking how great it would be to couple this thing with MSFS! I doubt it is something that even Peter Dowson could crack (although he would be our best bet!) without some collaboration with Garmin but I would hope the company would have some interest in doing so. I am wondering if someone who has downloaded the Red Arrow pack and given it go, could tell me how will it works. Can you really fly in formation with this file. Do you fly as leader? Is that the way this works. Just wondering, before I spend one an entire night downloading it with my wimpy 56K connection.Thanks for your input.

Hey guys i got two probs that ive had for a few days now...Problem Number One:In All aircraft, Default and Addon say when i have full flaps on the guage will move down to the right slit, but no sound will come out and the model will not show the flaps, ive tried restarting, checkin assignments, i dunno what to do , i really dont wanna have to re-install fs again...Problem Bumber Two:In All Aircraft, Default and Addon, everything works but the right toe brakes... i dont know what to do with that, re-installing and pushing the USB plug in more doesnt work....If you guys can help it would be greatly appreciated..not that easy to land wihout flaps and brakes...or takeoff in …

Under Traffic Messages from ATC in the ATC Handbook is the following (Page 38):Speed adjustmentsTo accommodate traffic Controllers may also ask you to adjust your speed to accommodate aircraft ahead or behind you that are sloweror faster than your aircraft.I have never heard any reference to airspeed from ATC in FS2002. Has anyone else? Why would that be published in the manual if it is not part of the sim?-DSN

Hi everyone,problems, problems ...Last week, I bought a new Athlon-PC with windowsXP, hoping that FS2002 now will run even smoother than on my old one (P3) ... so I installed FS2002 to see how it runs and .. it almost freezes !!! Impossible to play, it runs with around 1/4 to 1/2 fps. But not only the graphics, the whole game seems to be in slowmotion. When I try to raise the plane after starting nothing happens, the graphics scrolls with that framerate but the plane stays on the ground. After a few minutes of trying it crashes. I have to quit with task-manager ... So what

HI ! As FS02 was shipped without the old Kaitak Airport, I wondered where to get a decent FREEWARE scenery that includes the missing navigation aids, the ILS sender for RWY 13. For me these navaids are more important than a photoreal airport, so does anybody know which scenery does include them , or is there a general fix to build in ILS/VORs to FS2002 ?Thank you.J

I found out a b734 panel file by Marcello LUGARI at Avsim Library. I can be wrong but I guess he is using Dreamfleet's main panel bitmap. Can he to do this?Justa - Brazil

Has anyone tested the SimuBuild A-340 as an AI aircraft? I'd like to use it as AI, but sometimes these aircraft (ala Open Sky) tend to do some bizarre things when cast in the AI role. So before I download I thought I'd ask.Thanks!!Rick

Hi, I have a GeForce4 Ti4200 and when I enable antialiasing the text goes slightly blurry and I am unable to access the menus by pressing alt and if if press alt+f4 the shut down box doesn't show but if I press enter the game does exit.If I turn of antialiasing everything works fine, it was working with antialiasing the other day perfectly fine.This happens with both the NVIDIA 29.42 & 30.30 drivers. Doesn't seem to effect other games although I will give that a test.Any ideas?I'm running Windows 2000 SP3

Hi,I have recently purchased a new computer and eagerly installed FS2K2, with the expectation that the graphics would sfar superior to those i achieved on my old computer.I was impressed, however, with a full installation and the graphics settings on their highest, aerobridges at airports still do not appear, evern those featured on the games box, and those posted on Microsoft's website. What do i need to do to able to have airports with as high a quality as those advertised by microsoft.I thank you in advance for your help.Rhys

Does anyone know of any VAs that operate GA aircraft? I looked through the VA links here, but the few that sounded good were dead links.I'm looking for one that operates in the US, because I have IFR low and high enroute charts, and IAPs for the entire US.If there aren't any, would anyone be interested in getting together and starting one up? I have some extra time on my hands that could be put to good use.
