Hi alli need your help guys. I dont know what else to do.Since i upgraded my computer (to Athlon 1800XP) and since i switched form Win98 to Win2k i am having great problems with the Flight Sim.It doesnt seem to like any new add-on scenery. Especially not the Simflyers one. When i install them and go to that airport i get strange 'flashing' of the textures. It is almost like that taxiway texture problem where the ground dissapears beneath and around the plane as you move the aircraft, but on a larger and much more annoying scale. The buildings just start 'spawning' strange lines (look at the picture). I tried everything. I uninstalled FS2002 6 times and i did the clean in…

Hey,I'm thinking of buying a Geforce 2 GTS, and I wonder if it would make a big difference in frame rates in FS2002. My current system specs are:-AMD K6/2 500 mhz-192 MB SDRAM-Nvidia TNT2 Pro 16 MB-Windows XP ProAll the display sliders in FS are about half way up for now, and I get around 15 FPS.What performance can I expect with a Geforce 2 GTS ?Thanks

I've searched here and that other place, much prefer here :-) for a small program I had before my last system reload, I know backup, anyway it worked in XP and was very simple basic prgm that opened a dos window and asked for airport ID (like KIAD) then airport ID you want it changed to (like KSFO) and then the percentage you wanted changed 33% 50 100 etc. This was great for altering existing flightplan.txt when adding new AFCAD gates and runways. Can anybody point me to where I can find it again, I promise I'll keep a copy of it this time :-)Thanks.

On this preview screenshots you can see new freeware model of F/A-18C for FS2002. Hornet model in VFA-113 "Stingers" camouflage will have animated all control surfaces, dynamic 3D virtual cockpit, afterburner effect and more. First released version will be completed still in FS Design Studio. I plan to rework its next version in Gmax ( including especially new and improved animations ). I still have also its simplified version compatible with FS98, so if there will be some interest, I release it too.At this time the external and internal models are completed. Now I would like to tune the flight dynamics and panel. I hope I release it still this summer.I'm glad, that there…

FolksI'm a bit at a loss here:I use AFCAD files to activate multiple runway use at some very busy airports.Example: KMIA for heavy jets and 2MIA for domestic traffic. I ususally land at KMIA and have ATC and Tower service from KMIA, too.So far no problem. But when I'm ready for re-departure and contact the tower for taxi clearance I always get connected with 2MIA with no possibility to change over to KMIA.Is there a way to change this ?

In another post this morning, I noted how important it was to me to retain my library of FS98 and FS2000 gems as sometimes they become useful in FS2002.With no disrespect to Mike's panel whatsoever, some of you may enjoy this one, originally produced in 1999 by J.L. Stubbs for FS98. It could do with the throttle levers being remade as the necessary background is annoying (I've tried to blank it out, failed), but otherwise the panel works just fine in FS2002:http://www.swiremariners.com/goosepnl.jpgHere I'm circling Charlotte Amalie and St. Thomas before landing for a Corona or twelve ... thanks for the aquatic beastie, Mike!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremarin…

Hey guys, I have a really big problem. I can't download anymore. I have DAP and when I try to download anything, it can't find the file. When I try to download it with the default microsoft downloader it starts downloading but it never finishes. I don't have any firewalls on so I don't know what's the problem.

I installed an MS FFB2 stick last week. It works great but I don't think it centers. Sometimes it kinda does, like when I am in a dive (flying military a/c) and I pull back and then there is a "kick" within the stick. Sometimes it "kicks" to straighten out during a turn when on AP with a commercial a/c. The kicking seems to be related to trim although I have not figured it out quite yet. The kicking is the closest I feel to some sort of pressure pushing the stick toward center, but that's it.The stick works in all axes and everything seems fine. I am just disconcerted by the lack of centering and not knowing when the stick will kick back.Any advice or views on this …

I got to thinking about this the other day...yeah I know thinking is bad for me....but when you're at an airport, either on board a plane or sitting outside, you hear the landing aircraft's reverse thrust and take off aircraft's engines quite loudly. For some distance down the runway and while they rotate and leave the ground too. But on FS2K2 you have to be within a few meters to hear the sounds that the AI aircraft make. Is there anyway of extending this sound? So that the roar of an old 727 (or any other aircraft) can be hear for some distance away.[div align=center][link:members.cox.net/fstimes/wetimage.html]Click Here For Weather Image of the Day!
