How does the American government (FAA) name VOR's, VORTAC's, DME's, etc.? I know that sometimes they represent visual landmarks in the area which they transmit. Hi,I originally posted this in "Hangar Chat" but it was kindly suggested to me that here would be a better place, and maybe Ray Proudfoot would have the answer, so if Ray or anybody else can help me out I would be very appreciative.My question is:Does anybody know where I can find out what the correct arrival and departure tracks are for Concorde operations in and out of the USA?I have an Aerad chart for Concorde operations that shows Concorde tracks but it is all a bit blured with regards to the tracks into and out of the USA, there appear to be quite a few and it gets a bit confusing to see where they go.Is there a website that might show them, there is a good link on t…

Hello,the partition on which I have Fs2002 installed has become full and I was wondering if there is a utility which I can use to remove those areas of scenery that I do not fly in to free up disk space.For example, I do most of my flying in virtual europe and USA so could I would like to be able to remove all other areas ( e.e Asia. Japan etc) if this is possible.I know that in fs2000 there was a utility called scenery Mover which allowed you to remove unwanted scenery areas from your hard drive.Is there something similiar for fs2002.Incidentally I am not talking about removing custom scenery, I am talking about the scenery areas that come with fs2002.Thanks for any info…

Hi folks.Anyone know of a good place to find out about moving around an airport in a taildragger? I just started using the C185, and to move taxi (and for the take-off roll, for that matter), I have to either use spot plane view or go to 2d panel-view without the panel displayed. In RL, folks don't have that option... how do they successfully taxi, etc.?--Tony

just added glasgow airport as addon scenery ....airport installed fine ...but atc dosent work with it.....remember reading somewhere about how to make atc recognise add on scenery but cant recall what to do ...help appreciatedharry

Hi all,When I enable Anti-aliasing under FS2002, I can't get the standard menu bar when pressing "ALT" key.When I press "ALT" key the program pauses waiting for my input but I can't see the menu so I have to go to window mode to make the changes and then switch back to full-screen.Do some of you experience the same kind of problem and if yes, do you have a solution?thanks in advance for helping me

Hello all, I am going to be doing a long range coast to coast or round the world flight and was wondering if anybody can recommend a good GA aircraft to do it in.These are my options:1. Cessna 4212. Baron3. DF Archer (have to buy still)4. Bonanza V35 (Have to buy still)5. Piper Cheyenne6. I'm not sure why, but for some reason landings which were a piece of cake in FS2000 now are much more difficult in FS2002. For starters, the nose of the aircraft is way too high such that the tail is almost dragging. Help!Noel

jerrycwo4In the last four years I have had MANY, MANY add-ons to Flight Simulator, but the ones that I purchased the other day made the biggest differance of all ( in my opinion). That was when I purchased and installed," FScene: (1) Europe and (2) USA/ Canada- Summer" from the following site:http://secure.simmarket.com/For the USA/ Canada the other 'seasons' of the year will come along later, but the 'Summer' one is unbelievable.. you can almost smell the hay in the fields and the other crops as well. Hi AllI can't seem to get the wake effect to work on the Goose,:-hmmm Used to know how to do this, guess my mind is slipping.I believe it has somthing to do with the contact points.But,I did manage to put a Water Rudder on it ( I know not very realistic ), If your interested just copy and paste this line at the bottem of the contact points section of the Air.cfg section//Water Rudderpoint.13= 5.000, -16.000, 0.000, -4.000, 160000.000, 0.000, 0.000, 40.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.700, 1.000, 1.200, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000Then while taxing on water press shift=W to raise/lower your rudder.Any help with the wake effect would be great!Samurai

Can someone tell me please if there is an option in the FS Nav Export, for Squawkbox. I see Radar Contact- FS2000- FS2002- etc but no mention of Squawkbox. I am sure that it was present when I first loaded the program, it seems to have disappeared, I dont understand how but it has..

Gents,I have never tried this before, but I would like to setup a second monitor to run FSflightmax on while I sim.I know you need a second graphics card (I have an old tnt2), and a second monitor (duh), but after that..... I am lost.I have heard talk of "wide FS" in the flightmax forums, is that also required ?
