If I make a back up of all my existing flight sim files/folders etc and then uninstall FS2002, can I simply copy all the previous files/folders and have everything back the way it was? Or do I have to install them all as I did when I first purchased/downloaded them.The reason I ask, is that my computer has displayed some disturbing symptoms which I think is due to a faulty RAM module and some corrupted windows os files. As a result, I may have to reformat my hard drive and start afresh, thus losing all my beloved flight sim addons. I'm not looking forward to that.Have I got to "bite the bullet" and install everything or will a back up be sufficient.Any help/advice would b…

I like to watch instant replays of my landings over and over... (maybe some kind of fetish), and I've noticed something, sometimes as soon as the replay starts (during approach specially) the gear goes up and the flaps are retracted! Still then, the plane lands and sort of "floats" over the runway! What the heck is that??? I use my POSKY 767 in most of my flights and this error only happens once in every 2 or 3 flights... Is there a way to fix it?Cheers!!!

There is a new livery for the dc-9 out fresh off the press. It was done as a request for me by garry smith. Taking off from Gander on route to Sanford. Weather is overcast. Climb to Cruise at 38000ft. 'Atis' (activesky) changes at next Gander weather station. Suddenly my 747 is at 65000ft. IFR cancels immediately. It would seem that the weather change is confusing the hell out of my Aircraft. Pity, it seemed like a very good program until then.

Does anyone know were I would be able to find this plane as 98,2000 og 2002 version.Regard

If you had unlimited resourses and you could design the perfect system for flight sim 2202 with what is available right now what would you want?

I know of all the features FS Meteo provides such as the whole planning and destination weather info etc. also the constant update of weather from internet for up to the minute real time weather. None of these funstions really intrest me, ofcourse if I had the program I would use them "why not" :-), they are sure all good and cool features.............however what I would like to know from someone in plain english is what will I see different "visually" as to compare to original FS own weather program, or perhaps the weather that is given by FSMeteo is more acurate while MSFS-own weahter is from crappy source "I'd buy that :-lol" while FSMetoe is from a good source and if…

hello fellow simmersi remember reading somewhere that the "good" versions of msfs always skip one. why ? because microsoft launches an edition to "check how things are" and then launches a version with a few extra items and all the bugs/errors of the previous fixed.remember frame rate comparing 2k to 2k2? a huge difference.what have we recieved extra on 2k2. Fellow aviators,Since I added a new DSL connection to me setup, I'm experiencing what appears to be a skip in the smoothness of FS. While I'm connected, the scenery skips periodically every fraction of a second. It's minor, but noticeable. If I disconnect, the problem goes away. First time using DSL. I had a cablemodem connection before without any problems. Any ideas?Dave

Hello folksDoes anyone know if one is able to use FS clouds 2000 with FS2002? Cause I've been using some clouds by many authors including FSW but they are all 2-dimensional. So despite their very real look then you never really go through them just a wall of clouds and you never get a feeling that you are in clouds.

Most of the issues reported so far a minor, but there is one serious problem with older .DLL and .OCX files being installed on ME systems. I installed this as soon as it came out a few weeks ago. Its working OK but my framereates with even 35% AI traffic are horrendous around Atlanta. I have to turn just about everything to below half settings to get an acceptable frame rate. Am I doing something wrong or is it this big a hit on frame rate? If I pan away from the airport(default scenery) I get it to go right back up to about 25, as soon as I get within about 6-7 miles and with the ramps/aircraft in sight it goes down to about 10, then even lower at times when Im close. pretty much unacceptable for flying. I am currently trying out FS Navigator. How is this worth $38.00? Maybe I need to try it a bit longer, but for now, I am not very impressed! I must be missing something. Can someone offer some ideas on getting the most out of this software. Exactly what is it supposed to do that FS2k2 does not already do?
