This happens to me from time to time when I'm using real weather. Appraoch is vectoring me into a runway. Nice vectors to the ILS. I'm following the ILS, gear is down, flaps full at the final approach fix. Appraoch says "contact tower", then tower tells me to fly a left downwind to the opposite runway. Is there a setting I can enable in FSUIPC that might help approach recognize the winds at the airfield?Thanks,Scott

I don't know if this question has been asked before or not, I personally asked it on another forum and never got a response. Anyhow, A1 navagation lights are so large when viewed from a distance, very unrealistic. Is there a way to reduce their size in FS2002? Thanks.

Hi folks,I was reading through the posts this morning, and noticed one from a guy who strongly suggested using headphones for Flight Sim. Sounds like a great idea, and would definitely keep my wife a lot happier! She's sick of hearing the Dash 8 roaring through the sky! ;-) In any case, for those who are currently using headphones, what type of headset are you using? Brand name? Model? I was out to the Future Shop over lunch and was overwhelmed with all the different ones. Since I am not up to par on my stereo knowledge, I know not what to buy in this department. Anybody else had this problem I am using a freeware panel with this aircraft and I can't get this thing to fly right. As soonas I takeoff the pitch and VSI go to 6000, stalls, then crashes..I seen alot of other people talking about this aircraft and company but if this is what I've got to put up with I don't know if its worth it.And yes, I have tried trimmimg the aircraft down but it doesn't make a difference.I did find a aircraft config that will work alot better but I lose the lights and the aircraft wheels are sunk in about half way.Any suggestions??Thanks in advance!!JC

Tha's right, bought played it, it sucked.....what a POS, and returned it for GTA 3 Vice City....Microsoft, pull your arrogant head out of your arse ! The sim was just a joke ! And you best not be putting the CFS3 engine into FS2K4 !!!!!Vice City was just released for the PS2, it should be excellent !!!

I'm looking for some advice on getting mesh for USA. I've got the Lago mesh for the British Isles, great stuff, and they really enhanced my sim experience. Now I'd like to do the same for the U.S. I don't do much GA flying, I do more airliner stuff, A320, PIC, Dash 8, and ERJ-145, but I do want some great looking terrain, especially since I know the terrain around some of the airports I fly to (thinking mainly of Alburqurque, Colorado Springs and of course Little Rock). I'm curious if anyone is using it, and if so, how does this work?Does it bypass the FS2002 MP interface altogether? If so, how do you locate a host so one can join the session as a client. How well does it handle the 'ol FS2000/FS2002 issues of floating and/or invisible aircraft? And how well does it handle dial-up connections?-John

Hi, I noticed that Cargolux was on the aircraft.cfg file that has all the callsigns for FS2002. But when I typed Cargolux for my callsign, FS2002 never says Cargolux. Is anyone also having this problem?Thanks,Bill

I'm sure this title will earn me several floggings, but what the heck.Ever since installing a handful of Project AI Auto Installers (AFTER installing the BASE, of course...) I have observed some very very bizarre (not to mention outright cheesy) ATC/AI behavior.My first thought was that maybe the ATC/AI engine in MSFS is messed, but after closer inspection, it would seem alot more is messed than a few bad controllers having a bad hair day. I concede my own ignorance in FS AI is probably as much to blame as any of this, but there's some awfully funny stuff going on. I'm having a problem with an ATR 42-500 panel, when I try to set a heading or course the dial gives me multiples of 10, meaning I can't set a heading of lets say 135 degrees I can only set 130 or 140, does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi All,I just encountered a very strange event in FS2K2. I launched the game the same way I have for months now, but when the splash screen came up, there was a message that stated "Generating scenery file indices". Now this has never happened before, and I brushed it off as a bizzare hickup. But I run WidevieW, so I actually have to run the sim on three computers. So I launch on the second client, and same message. I have not installed any scenery lately, but this is the first time I have flown since the time changed yesterday. Has anyone else had this happen? It always makes me nervous when my world is so suddenly turned inside out ;)

The other day i went to start fs2k and it gave me an error message that said: The scenery.cfg file is missing or corrupted please reinstall fs2k. does anyone know where i can get another copy of the scenery.cfg file. (i dont have the disk i WAS running it of a no disk patch.) Thanks,Dan
