Hi, I have noticed lately that when I save a picture from the internet and its a jpg, when I right click the picture and choose "save picture as" my computer saves it as a bitmap, not a jpeg. Does anyone know why this is happening? I know the picture is not a bitmap.Thanks,Bill

I am looking for some sort of weather viewer, I will explain.I already have Active Sky WXre and it works a gem. Now when I am flying I'm often curious to what weather is around me and what is generally going on. I am looking for a utility that will give me a birds eye view of the weather around me, much like the weather satilite views you get on the evening news, don't know the technical name apart from a multi coloured cloud map lol ;-).I have searched the forums and haven't found any information, does anyone know if there is such a utility?!If anyone can help it would be much appreciated

Hi Tom or Marty:Will AVSIM store offer PIC 320 for download? I do know that they offer it on CD version. Which I pre-ordered. If you don't is it possible for you to set this up. I love to purchase it from AVSIM store rather than from Wilco. Is there a price difference between the two>?Charles

OK, so I now know that the CH toe brakes and the CH yoke button brake can not be used at the same time. So I want to use the button brake rather then the toe brakes. Was in IMC approaching an airport socked in- 3000 o/c 3mi visibility and there was an NDB Approach available but instead got sent in on a visual and needless to say missed the airport.Any way to force the use of an instrument approach??Thanks.

I have read through many posts but haven't really found an answer to my question of what aircraft (download or buy) are recommended.I have recently bought the Phoenix Airbus Pro package which certainly was a breath of fresh air, however I would like to add some more aircraft particularly Boeing's and MD's, perhaps other versions of Airbus too. I have been using FS2k2 since it came out (and all previous versions). Last year I upgraded to a new system:P4 2.01 GB RDRAM (PC800)SCSI 10RPM hard driveNvidia G4 Ti-460040.72 Nvidia driversWindows XP Prof - SP1DX8.1 (or whatever SP1 updated)My settings within FS are AA, 1024x768x32. Frames are locked at 20.So, my sliders are at about max, not quite, ATC 80%.I still get low framerates (9-10) at busy default airports when coming near any AI traffic.Graphically all looks great, and there seems to be no real problem when NOT flying into a busy airport, but you would think with this much power, things would be better.I have read all the articles on various sites about frame…

Hi All,I have FS2002 Pro (thanks Mr Xmas!) default install running on win 98 with DirectX9However the ATC sound is choppy and unintelligable. All other sounds in this game and all other games are fine.Does anyone have the fast track diagnosis and cure?Is this settings or is this a well known bug and patch needed?All help appreciated (but correct help adored!)Rob.

I can not seem to get my brake button on my CH yoke to work.I can assign it no problem. I know the button itself does work. The toe brakes on my CH peddals work fine. I have deleted the fsuipc.ini to have it rebuilt but still not working. This happens in any aircraft default or not. When I push the button it will not apply brakes. The red writing at the bottom of the screen does not show up. Very frustrating. Any help would be welcome.Update edit:On further investigation I find that the button will release the parking brake if it is set. It will not hold the brakes though. hello, I've download a lot of Jeppensen SID, STAR VOR approach, NDB apporach and airport charts but how to read them? Is there a website with reading material in how to read aviation charts?

I read on another forum my AGP voltage should be set at 1.65 volts. When I go into smart guardian I am showing AGP as 1.48 to 1.50 volts. My bios is set to default which is 1.5 volts. I have the option to set volts to 1.6, 1.7, or 1.8 volts. Shoult I change my bios from 1.5 volts to 1.6 volts.Chuck

Like everyone else trying to get the right driver for their system, It looks like I finally found the right one for my system. It is the 42.86 NVidia and using the Riva Tuner to enhance. I am using a AMD 750 with the 3D Prophet DDR-DVI Video board, 512 on memory and running Wins xp. My system is about 2 years old now. Before this driver I have experienced every problem that has been mentioned on this forum. I can't run everything wide open but the sim runs great around 20-24. Locked at 25. And surprising to me around New York it may drop to 12-14 but still smooth. I don't know why but even the text on the screen is now much brighter and clearer. I don't care what anyon…

Hi! I just reinstalled FS 2k2 (and everything else in my PC). Now I am not able to start FS. I get a message: " FS is unable to be run from a restricted user acoount and will now exit."Please, help me. What should I do???

I've had this problem since I've gotten my 64MB DDR Geforce2 Ti 4X AGP card a year ago. If I've got Anti Aliasing (AA) enabled and using 16 bit color I get a pinkish mesh that covers the 2D panel and fades in and out without stopping. If turn off AA, the pinkish mesh is still there. The only way to get around it is to run FS in 32 bit color, which takes away hits up my fps's. I know I've seen posts for this in the past but I don't recall any solutions being found. If anyone has ideas or know how, please post them here. Thanks!

Does anyone else have this aircraft and experience a severe frame rate drop?I was really looking forward to having a VC only aircraft and one which could be operated from within the VC but at present the A320 is unusable because of the frame rate problems.I have a Geforce 3 Ti500 card and AMD 1.8 Peter

Just downloaded the new Project Gmax Lancair here in the library. Not exactly sure what happened, I am sure they did not intend this as their first release. There are many areas not right, but the most appearent is the right wing is upside down.

There isn't any news of it on their website.Anybody know what's going on?Shane

Hello Gentlemen.I am having a problem with my FS2K2 Realworld weather. IT is not downloading basically. I have Norton antivirus 2003 and I have told it to accept the download, and it will let it after about to clicks of the ok button. When it starts to download it goes to 1% and at the same time it sitches back to the desktop. After several minutes it will still say 1% and that is all. Also, I have AOL 8.0 could this be a problem? I checked the website but it does not say whether or not the new unit uses those little dots that you paste on your head (or head gear). I was wondering if maybe they advanced the technology to the point that it can read actual head movement. I know most folks who use the current version seem very pleased with it, but I have this issue with putting dots on my forehead.... Okay, here's the situation.Back in December I did a complete reinstallation of FS2002 and my add-ons. I also installed the entire Lago TerraMesh series and a number of freeware airport sceneries for some European airports including RealCDG v2(LFPG) by Yannick Mille, CDG Real Ground Texture by Olivier Bochu, and Orly2002 by Yannick Mille.At the time I installed RealCDG I noticed the scenery was messed up with all the textures seemingly suspended in mid-air. OK, so it's not one of those original posts that everyone seems to like, but FS isn't giving me original problems!Here's the itch:I'm at FL210 approaching KATL, at the height given me by ATC, with 30.12 as the altitude and all's well.Then ATC kindly informs me "...you are 300 below your assigned altitude.
