Jumped ship and ordered 9700 Pro. Question is I currently am running Ti-4600 and run a second video card (tnt2-pci) for a second monitor running only fsnav. Was wondering if I should get a radon 7000 pci card and if this would work. I know nvidia and ati drivers don't mix. Has anyone tried this type of setup? I tried using both monitors connected to my 4600 and did not like the results. Any help would be appreciated. System is P-4 2.4 with 1gb pc-800.

Hi all, I am getting ready to release an Iowa class battleship for CFS2 and thought at the same time I would also release a scenery object for FS 2002 to situate in Pearl Harbor next to the Arizona memorial. Can anyone who has seen Pearl Harbor @ night tell me if the Missouri is lit up with lights or beacons? Looking for some details here so I can get USS Missouri for FS2002 uploaded here.Thanks!

Hello!I just switched my drivers back to the 30.82's from the 40.72's and have gotten a very good increase in performance (smoothness and fps).However, I still get a pretty good frame rate loss when banking the aircraft beyond 18 degrees or so. In the Barron when my bank goes to around 22-25 degrees or more my frame rates drop from about 18-20 (locked at 20) to around 7-8 fps. This of course makes the outside view become more choppy and un-smooth. I also notice this to some extent on the guages like the D.G.When I am flying straight and level, pitching up or down, or using shallow banks (less than standard rate turns) I have no noticible frame rate loss and the sim stays …

Besides reformating my pc and starting clean, is there a way to get my AGP card out of being stuck in PCI mode.

Microsoft released their SDK's now or sometime prior to the release of the new sim. This could include whatever new modules would be needed for G-Max as well. Imagine developers starting work on new projects for the new sim now. When the sim is released, new, exciting projects would already be finished or at least that much closer to completion. It would give designers time to patch existing projects as well and blah blah blah....oh well...just thinking out loud...:-lol Cheers.. Greg K.

HiProbably not quite the right place to post this but after reading some other posts it looks like I may get some good advice.I run an XP2000 CPU and want to OC it. How far can I safely OC it too? My mobo is an EPOX 8KHA+ and I have some massive heatsink attached to the CPU (CPU temp is cuurently 48 degrees C).Any advice would be great!

With the exception of CH Products Yokes, what is your choice for the best stick (that doesn't cost a ton of cash) for MSFS2k2?I am looking into buying a new stick. The CH Virt. Pilot Pro doesn't like my system and I have an old MS Precision Pro that doesn't work the greatest on a gameport, so I need a new one. USB of course. CompUSA has a MS Precision Pro 2 for sale, it looked good, but not a lot of complexity to it. What would you buy for say $50 or under?

Hi, this is not intended to be a national pride fight post.I own the PSS dash 8 and I enjoy the experience of flight mostly in IMC. Just bougth the PSS A320, but when I started to look in the manuals, it appears to me that the A320 is so automated, that little imput is needed from the pilot to do the flying. My question ARE:1. For the serious simmer, is the A320 "boring"? 2. will I be seated at FL350 just looking the glasses? 3. what about the A320 in approach and landing, do real pilots do it Autoland every time? Maybe I'm not doing something right, but I recently purchased and installed MSFS 2002 Pro on my desktop and can't seem to get the Airspeed indicator to work as it should. I am a licensed private pilot flying C172's, and on final approach with full flaps and approx. 1500 RPM, the airspeed should be close to 65 knots. On FS Pro it's more like 80 or 85. Takeoff speeds don't seem realistic either. I have plenty of memory on a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX420 video card and I use CH Products USB Yoke and Rudder pedals. I'm not looking to be right on the numbers, but something closer to the real thing would make it more enjoyable. Otherwise, I'll just have to ignore the speeds. PS, I a…

I just had to (was really forced into) installing the SP1 update pack to my Pavilion P4 2.4.Prior to this Fs 2KPro was working superbly. Now it takes for ever to continue 'flying' after any key command or mouse activation.Also, save option no longer displays the message box in Full screen mode, but does in a smaller screen mode.Anyone experienced this before?Any fixes ideas?

Hello, folks!Well, after about a 2 year hiatus, I've re-entered the world of FS. Time, career, and finances pretty much kept me out, but after enjoying a couple of real flights this last week, I've once again developed the itch. I never bought FS2K2, but I did keep tabs on the development, release, and subsequent after-market development of third party goodies. Anyway, I flew from KATL to KSEA via Houston/Bush Thursday, and returned Monday, non-stop from Seattle back home to Atlanta. Is there such an ATC that would "talk" you down to an airport in an infight emergency.I would want it to let me know how far I am from an airport, heading, too high...too low etc, and keep updating as I fly toward it. Just like you see in the movies.Any such thing around?Dick

When I begin a flight in FS2002 it comes up in a reduced window. When I press Alt-Enter for full screen it goes to full screen but the instrument panel stays the same size as it was in the reduced window. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what.Thanks for any assistance.Jim Earsley

I would like to know if there is a (brand) AFCAD file that renames the runways at Schiphol with their brand new (18-36 -> 18R-36L, 01L-19R -> 18C-36C & 01R-19L -> 18L-36R) names?I use a AFCAD file by Joop Mak from 15th February but that isn't updated with the new names...OT: I got a Logitech WingMan Extreme Digital 3d from UPC (my ISP) today. I haven't even opened the box yet, is it any good or should I "throw it away"?
