The performance narrative in the cfg file of this beautiful bird says the MGTOW = 117,000 lbs and that the max fuel = 34,600 lbs.But the Weight & Balance narrative of the same cfg file also says that the empty weight is 85,000 lbs and the station loads are zero. The full fuel load indicated in the cockpit panel = 18,700 lbs. The MGTOW by my calculation, therefore, is 104,000 lbs.Something ain't right here. Where am I going wrong and what am I missing?Appreciate info/advice on correct weights, thanks!JS

Please recommend an ultralight that you like particularly. I did a search and didn't come up with much. It would be great to have ,say, a Challenger or Chinook with floats/skis. A wheel only version would be great too. Looking for closed cockpit model(s). Time do get out of the jets and do some nice slow sight seeing! Thanks, Adam

I currently run two 17" monitors off of a GeForce TI4600 card. I have the main view from the DF737 on the main montior and the smaller panels on the other. I would now like to add a 15" monitor for the overhead panel. What would be a good video card to purchase to support this monitor? How much onboard memory, etc? Thanks!Boyd BarkerSenior Command CaptainKBOS Hub ManagerWestWind Airlineshttp://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/DFexperience.jpghttp://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/checklist.htmlMy DF737 Around the World Adventure: http://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/aroundtheworld.html

Hi guys I have a GF4Ti4600 right now, but I can get a Radeon 9700 Pro for a very reasonable price. I have a fairly fast computer (XP2700+ oc'ed to 2350 MHz) so I guess I could take full advantage of he card.Question is does it make an sense, or will there basically be no difference. With all my add-ons I am no running my GF4 at 1600x1200x32 AF4 no AA, at very reasonable framerates. If I could at least run AA4 with the same fps I would go for it.I would love to hear a short report frm someone who did the change. I am not interested in "what you would expect" but wanna know from someone who has the real life experience. And please don't gimme that ATI/Nvidia-Fan BS :-).Anxc…

Are the buttons on the push-button panel from Go Flight spring loaded or do they stay clicked in then click back out when pushed again?Boyd BarkerSenior Command CaptainKBOS Hub ManagerWestWind Airlineshttp://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/DFexperience.jpghttp://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/checklist.htmlMy DF737 Around the World Adventure: http://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/aroundtheworld.html

Hello, some years ago on my old PC i had this 'Boost mic' option somewhere in the window below which increased the mic about 20 dB or somewhat. Don't know exactly about this stuff. Is it somehow possible to get it back? Or an equivalent option. On my old PC the mics ran well, but now, even at maxed out slider, it's just far too quiet. Thanks! :-)Etienne :-wave

I was thinking of buying the VANS DC9 package. Does anyone know if it is worth it or not? Should I buy it? At their webpage, the pics look nice..interior/exterior shots. On a scale from 1-10, how would you rate their DC-9 flight dynamics?Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated.Fausto (happycapt)

Suddenly, beginning just about a week ago I started hearing a "ding" (Windows Error sound) while loading FS2k2 and having this message appear under the splash screen. It doesn't immediately result in a crash of FS2k2, but it is a precursor of a soon-to-happen-crash.Has anyone else experienced this and/or know what the heck is causing it, or more to the point, knows how to fix it?FWIW, I renamed the FS2002 folder and reinstalled FS2k2 to make sure it wasn't a corrupted registry entry. The "virgin install" works just fine, but attempting to run the original installation still produces the same non-informative and annoying error message...

Hey guys,In case you don't browse the new files here at AVSIM, you may not be aware that lots of premier aircraft painters have taken the little 737 under thier brush (and the 727s are a hit too). Here is a link to some screenshots I've taken of my personal favorites:http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...mID8/21379.htmlGet downloading guys! Undoubtedly Folks!Harrald Ahlberg has produced the best A-310 and A-310-300 series for FS2002. The flight model is very good and the visuals are stunning, all while good on the frame rates. The newly released Airbus panel by Paul Golding is a perfect fit for this bird. All we desperately need now is a nice A-300. Unfortunately the Project Airbus one is hard on frames and the lights kill the whole night flying experience with it. Besides, the model is not that great!!!!! I know Harrald can whip one together, based on his experience with the 310 series....Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

I've seen this posted before, so sorry for asking again, but on a few of my panels I have no view, ie, its all black. I have the panel but no view, any ideas. BTW I did a search but couldn't find the old post. Thanks in advance.

Well, I think that it is. Look at the pic: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/173536/L/Do you see those silver handel things at the bottom of the panel near the center pedstall? The captain has his foot resting on one of them. What I was wondering, is what are they there for. Are they made for this reason, so people can rest their feet on them cuz I can't see why else you would have handels all the way down there.Cheers

Hi all, I have installed the latest of Pete Downsons ADVDisplay. Whenever I activate it and dock it somehwere within my 2D panel of any plane, I get a realy nice problem! The screen flickers as when it fold and unfolds itself, the mouse cursor becomes funny little and doubled and all my graphiccard gets confused. When I disable ADVDisplay, it is all ok. I have already installed many different nvidia drivers from www.guru3d, but that didnt help. I can remember the time when it was just functioning normal. I have a Epox 8k3a mainboard, AOpen GF4 4200 550MHz, 768 MB DDR 2100 and Windows XP Pro SP1. Do you need more info about my system? So, can you tell me what is going on? …

Hi guys,as I am waiting for my new Radeon 9700Pro a very important question(at least for me)comes to my mind:Can someone please confirm that you can rotate the orientation of the monitor 90 or 270 degrees. That means the 2nd monitor. My cockpit setup works this way and the card is of no use to me if it doesn't support that with the drivers.Nvidia calls this feature NVrotate.Edit:I will shoot the next question immediately:Does it allow for the connection of a 2nd monitor at all??Thx fr any help in advance.Alex

Fellow simmers,As a user of ActiveSky WxRE and of the latest version 1.6 (coupled with SkyWorld for clouds), I find that my flight "stutter" more frequently than when I use MS Real Weather and Sky World Clouds. Do any of you experience this? I have a brand new Dell 2.8 gig with all the goodies for smooth flight.I noticed the differnce yesterday. All my sliders are maxed and am using 9700 ATI Radeon board. I also enable Anti Aliasing, etc.I look forward to your responses on this. Stan

Hi,Last night we opened our site with totally new design and we decided to drop our previous PHP-Nuke powered site. With new layout we decided to start giving free hosting for flight-simulation and aviation personal homepages, because we think, that in the future all flight-simmers should have their own homepage where you provide information about flight simulation, what you like and to make internet more popular in flight simulation world. In the start of our service we are providing 80MB, but first 4 members, who maybe want to get also webspace, can get via this forum message web hosting with 200MB of space and 5 MySQL databases :). All members can get MySQL and full-P…
