This program will only work on VATSIM/IVAO with SBRelay 1.2I made it to shorten the amount of things required to get FS/SBRelay connected together. This program will launch Flight Simulator skipping the menu, place you at the airport/gate you specified and connect FS to multiplayer. If you select Connect Squawkbox, the program will also start SBHost module, start Squawkbox, and connect to VATSIM (in a sequence of events) :DIt's important to note, the program will just click the Connect on the right click menu of SB, then OK. So you need to have the correct server/user/pass/callsign for it to actually connect. If you have slow computer, and the sequence stops in the middle, tr…

This zig-zagging to line up for FAF is getting frustrating. From KONT to KLAS apprx 150 mile flight in the PMDG 737, about 60 miles out the see-sawing began. It was like a drunk staggering. I can't believe this is realistic. I've read posts here on this phenomenon. Some suggest slowing down, inasmuch as ATC doesn't command speed adjustments. Slowing down to 200kts 40 miles out didn't change the frequent left to right vectoring. John R. FranklinVictorville, CA

I just started adding my Project Airbus A320's into FS2004 and when starting FS2004 I get a FSSound.dll error. I then deleted the Fssound.dll and everything works fine, but I was wondering what does the Fssound.dll do?

Well, I can tell ya it did NOTHING, NUDA, ZILCHO...In fact it made it worse! When I first got FS2004 installed on Win98SE, it didn't even want to execute to run! Seemed to do this every second time running it. Also the Catalyst 3.10 drivers were doing very strange things with my 9800 when loading up the sim or selecting aircraft, the screen would stretch and go into a rainbow of stretched out pixelated colors.. whooa..little too much for me!!The few times I did get it to run, I was hit with a 10fps decrease over WinXP. I now have XP reinstalled, and am trying a FAT32 system versus the NTFS I was using before, heck I'm willing to try anything. For some reason when I first …

I'm going to be replacing my aging 1GHz Athlon with new and much faster machine in a week or two. I though it would be fun, rather than flying around aimlessly has I had been doing, to plan a trip around the world. My criteria would be to fly one type of aircraft. One which would be able to land at all airports (well, nearly all) and not make my circumnavigation a trivial affair. So that means no Lear jets or 737's. I'm thinking that a King Air would probably fit the bill, but I was wondering if anyone had any better ideas. Secondly, I have to figure out a route. I would like to fly into some of the more interesting airfields, Lukla springs to mind. Since there a…

Hi there,I have just started getting a fatal exception error on starting FS9 - the dreaded blue windows screen stating "Fatal Exception (00) VXD VDD (09).Does this relate to a specific program e.g Video drivers or direct X? or anything else for that matter? If I can find the program it relates to I might be able to avoid a total reformat. Here's hoping..Many thanks,Alex.

Just a minor sim-share:There's been some talk on knowing which runway to have to shoot at your destination. If flying not super-fast airplane: I suggest looking up the weather frequency using map view or something like FSNavigator to fing the freq. It will be designated AWOS or ATIS frequency. Tune this on COM 2 radio and push "bth" on the audio display. This way you'll get the weather at destination as soon as you come into range which is often quite far from station.Makes for good gameplay even flying the fast ones, actually.-Halfdan

Anybody know where I can find a standard type of operating matrix that displays cruise IAS/TAS, fuel flow, FL, weight, etc. for the 777-200? Appreciate advice, thanks!JS

I've recently added the BAe 146-200, Version 6.0, from Jon Murchison. I am using BAe-RJ Panel Version 2. for FS2004 (9.11.2003), from Targan UNUTMAZ. Ok, I'm sober from New Years celebrations, but here's what I've encountered:If I use Jon's very nice AIS cargo loading procedure on the FedX BAe-200, simulating a "loading" of the aircraft, and then try to depart - the aircraft acts as if it is more than twice max. weight & overloaded (yup - I know the loading is "fictional", I think ??) Upon throttle-up, I gather normal speed on the takeoff run, rotate, and rear wheels never leave the ground. Airspeed slowly bleeds off - and I stall / crash. Re-ran this test 5 times, t…

I have some enhanced water and cloud textures, and am wondering if the Blue Sphere installer over-writes those textures? or is it confined to "land" textures? Thanks,Bruce.

How do you all find the intersecting VOR radials that form intersections? I guess this only applies when you are flying something without an FMC, and not using the GPS. Obviously chrats would be a help, but when they're not readily available they are no help :).Thanks,Bruce.

Over the past few years, I have often wondered why we have never had a really good implementation of a Mooney -- or at least I have never been able to find one for Fs2002/4. It just seems to me that anybody who flies or aspires to fly single engine aircraft would love to get their hands on a Mooney (in real life) -- or am I wrong? We seem to have innumerable implementations of Cessnas ,Pipers, Beech models 101,201,301,401 etc, etc -- but no Mooneys.I am just curious why this aircraft never seems to capture the imagination of the Fsim a/c developers.Any thoughts? Thanks Barry

Hi guys,I am writing this when I am very desparate now, I have this problem in FS2002, which as you can see, the HDG is displayed wrong. the screenie is taken in LIRF at rwy 07 and the HDG showed is 150. pressing D wont help either. I dont know anything to do,Reinstalling FS didnt help either... 1 thing I want to avoid: Deleting all the FS folder and re-install everything from 0. The reason is that i have so many addons installed that downloading and reinstalling everything will take years lol.The problem is accuring in all airports in FS. for example: LLBG on rwy 030, the HDG showed is 110. and on rwy 120 it shows 210.Here is a pic illustrating the problemhttp://forums.…

I just fired up the SF260 and bounced it badly on takeoff. After selecting external view, I was surprised to find the following:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/55959.jpgThe gear indicator lights show 1 green light for the nose gear. I didn't know FS2004 was this sophisticated. There are no failure options in the menu for partial gear failure. I'm pleasantly surprised. Hope MS will keep adding these kind of failures. :D

I cannot believe that such a simple fix as the incorrect timezone bug has not yet been addressed by Microsoft. This must be at least the 4th incarnation of FS to have this problem and we still must trely on first MS giving up some secrets via the SDK then the likes of John Thompson (bless him) tinkering around to give us some accuracy.I have just spent a few days pottering around SE Asia and am really ###### about the timezone inaccuracy down here. For example (all centres are UTC plus) Singapore +7, Kuala Lumpur +6, Bangkok +6, Hong Kong +7, Perth +7 - are you listening MS - they are all in the same timezone - UTC +8.For goodness sake get this problem ironed over the next…

Hello,Just a Sim Pilot here with an observation. This is not a gripe about any one product - just a frustration. As the hobby of Sim Flying has progressed, so has the demand for addons and their related complexity also advanced. Recently, I have noticed a growing number of product interactions that are causing strange performance of my sim in an ever growing set of conditions. Unravling their interactions is not a part of my plan for learning to fly my sim.First I noticed that as I updated my registered version of FSUIPC, some of my addons began to perform strangly. I went back to older versions of the FSUIPC to regain performace and had to try each new version over and ov…

Hi!I wonder if you can do something about AI aircraft behaviour at Simflyers KJFK.My AI planes don't bother to do a go around when the runways are occupied, which means that 3-4 aircraft can land in a row one afterthe other.Where could you adjust this?Somewhere in the KJFK folder? In the aircraft cfg-files?It is the only addon airport I have where the planes behave like this. Can someone help?I tried Simflyers forum; no help from there.Grateful for help. Thanks!Hans HermanssonSweden

Can it be done?So often I wish I could have saved some aspect of the flight ... I asked this in an FS2002 time way back and no answer was forthcoming. Is the instant video stored as a "temp" file somewhere which could be retreived?Regards,Paul.
