After going through massive PC and FS tweaking recently, I found a number of my customized and/or default FS9 settings had "fallen out" and needed to be re-set. I just discovered that the default FS9 cockpit eyepoint settings UP and DOWN do work, but they are now exaggerated and difficult to fly with in the 2-D cockpit view. So when I hit eyepoint down or eyepoint up just once, the movement of the eyepoint in the 2-D cockpit is about twice what it used to be. All eyepoint views in VC work fine. It's just the 2-D cockpit that is affected. Can anybody suggest a fix for this? Anything in FS9.cfg or whatever...?Appreciate help, thanks!JS

Hey everyone, I'm really desperate for a solution. I have excellent frame rates in my FS2004 (its always near the locked). THE PROBLEM IS: Althogh I have fluid frame rates, I am getting massive stutters, in spot/tower/VC view (only cockpit has no stutters). What that means is, although I am having 30 fps, I am having it stutter every second or so. It looks as if it takes two steps forward and one step backward. It is extremely annoying. My system seems like it should be more than enough:DELL XPS P4 with 3.0ghz HT enabled200 gb hdd with 172 or so free1. Not many people know this,(as Michael Caine would say), but under settings/controls/assignments there is the possibility of setting up a Texture Refresh key.I've set mine to Shift/T. It is quite fast and cleans up the textures nicely. If you've been flying fast or slewing or are getting stutters in the turns, just hit the key and in a couple of seconds, textures are refreshed. Much faster than pausing and waiting for textures to "catch up". Also useful for setting up airport textures on finals. Makes for a smooth landing and taxi.

Check this out..Flight1 will be coming out with USA Roads that can sit on top of any terrain for USA.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...p?TID=7507&PN=1Hopefully... when getting close to the highways.. the roads would be more detailed with maybe even some Interstate signs and some generic Green and white direction finders.

Is there a way to move those taxiway signs away from the middle of a taxiway (even in the middle of a runway) and put them at least on the grass next to a taxiway ...?RegardsT

I would like to change the gamma (contrast) to make them more legible when in shadows. (My video is calibrated correctly.) Are these bitmaps available for editing and where. Thanks for any info.

Up to now I mainly flew the standard FS9 planes and some freeware adds on. I just loaded the Bae146 from Murchisson and panel from Matthias Lieberecht. What a surprise for me. I never guessed that there could be so much detail for realism in the procedures to start and fly such a plane. So now I am guessing that the PMG and other planes could be the same level of sophistication. Am I right?Roger

Hi,I thought it might be worth asking if anyone knows any phrases or words which help to remember flying checks. About the only thing I know was something I read for a downwind check in a light single-engine plane which was something like 'the Selector Contents Pressure the Pump and the Mixture Brakes the Security'.Anything would be cool (for any aircraft),ThanksP

I checked out the features of Traffic 2004 (http://www.justflight.com) and found this at the bottom of the page:"ATC VoicepackThe package includes a custom voicepack. This voicepack provides additional pilot and ATC voices. FS 2004 per default only includes US American voices - the voices included in Traffic 2004 are US English, British English and English with German accent."I mostly fly GA planes so I'm not all that interested in the real airlines etc. I already have PAI for real airline names. The additional voices are very interesting however, because I do a lot of flying in Europe (Germany, UK, France and Switzerland). How good are the addition voices? How does FS ass…

For all of you SIA gurus out there, including me :), I would like to start a thread here about the possibilities of a SQ22 group flight to commemorate the new "Longest Flight in the World" due to depart Singapore (wsss) and land at Newark, NJ (KEWR) 18 or so hours later. The flight will depart on Jun 28, 04 and will land about the same time it took off in N.J. For more information directly from Singapore Airlines go here http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/app/saa?dy...s/NTE_2704.htmlIf there is much interest in this I will put up a forum on my site, http://www.wilsonhines.com where we can further plan the event. Currently I have flown SQ20 and 11 (WSSS to KLAX & KLAX to…

I have a problem with the keyboard since when it is bypassed via the ACP it seems to stop working.. I switch on the ACP turn on the PC WinXP SP1 loads normally BUT No keybaord or mouse with ACP on... Do u have any ideas? I don't see any particular driver in the CD supplied, but just a .cfg configurator. I wonder if there's anything in particular I should do to make it work.. My ACP goes via keyb slot, is not a USB ver. maybe I can get something to make it work USB and solve the issue? WinXP SP1 2x512 S3 PC3200 DDR Epox 8RDA3+ motherboard ATI 9800pro 128m…

Having been out of the Loop with flight simming and only doing some beta testing with a fairly basic installation I wondered how extreme some have their MSFS.Here I am talking about addons both payware and freeware to improve scenery, clouds, atc etc you name it.There must be some guy or gal out there who has the ultimate FS, the showpiece FS in both detail and fluidity which has possibly cost a fortune in time and money. That brings me to another point which would help me from delving into downloading loads of promising sounding stuff only to bin it because it doesnt come up to expectations. What would be your list of must haves for MSFS and Im not talking about aircraft …

For those that don't know, Gatwick is the first airport in the world to have a bridge over a taxi-way able to take aircraft the size of the mighty B747. Today saw the first aircraft to test the bridge a 747, which was built 1 mile from the site and was lifted into place over the last week. It won't be openned to the public/passengers until next spring, but anyway here is a small article about it...http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/souther...ies/3756111.stm

I have today installed Bill Lyons Classic Goose and it is brilliant. If you like serious flying with a bit of fun and entertainment then for $12.50 this has got to be the best addon ever. Some of the features are exceptional.

i saw some screenshots today at virtual.planepictures.net that were obviously taken while replaying the movie (the authors of the pictures gave that information in the description of their pictures).here is a link: http://virtual.planepictures.net/show.cgi?26573now my problem is, i did not see the usual red "replay" message in the bottom left corner of those pictures.ok, one might say "the picture has been cropped", but i know the pmdg and this picture does not look cropped.is there a way to disable that (rather annoying) "replay" message. there is a way to remove the "brake" message i know of, so if i have to manipulate the fs9.cfg, what entry do i have to change?

I'm unable to adjust the chronometer on the default panels in FS9 without going to World/Time&Season/etc. I can on some older panels installed with new aircraft. I've checked the aircraft.cfg and can't find any switches to edit, as I can with NAV and COM radios on the Lear45 panel in order to be able to change freq in the cockpit. Did MS lock the chronometers?

I am really happy with this programme -- finally I have some GA activity in FS2004. Personally I think it is maybe the best addon we have seen for FS2004 BUT -- I have noticed that using addon a/c is severely impacting on my FPS. Now, I know that you can use the "Make AI" function and I have done that -- even to my default MS a/c. So what I am finding is that the default a/c (reduced to AI textures using the MAKE AI function) do not reduce my FPS as much as addon a/c. In fact, at this time I am only using the default a/c as AI when using GA-TRAFFIC.Now this is not a complaint -- but more of a question of "why is this so"? Anybody know? I notice that the panels are strippe…
