In big airports (like YSSY) for example, there are 2 freq for each of the Parallel runways 120.5 and 124.7, however i noticed in fs2004 you can only use i Freq for all runways..am i correct?Now, something strange is happening in honolulu. The planes are coming in on (22?)L however have no call telling the tower, nor the tower does not give them landing clearance, however the taking off for the Right runway is ok. any thoughts?

Let's consider the facts, by this time next year we'll most likely have for FS9 the following Boeing products:-Captain Sim's excellent smoky old 707.-F1's superb 727, which eclipses the CS 727 if only because it has a more stable, well sorted flight model which doesn't feel like flying a wet sock!-F1's upcoming 737-200.-PMDG's iconic 737 NG, which is still the benchmark by which all others are judged.-RFP 747-200, which is a little too much for me, the manual sets me yawning and I don't like the lazy MS default gauges which are in evidence around the panel.-PMDG's 747-400, which looks like it's going to raise the FS bar once again in 2005.-PSS's upcoming 757.-LD 767, whic…

Hello,I used to use Traffic Board to display flights from my traffic files in FS2002. It does not seem to work with FS2004. I tried the most recent update but it is for FS21002. Is there another program I can use to show the Flight Plans in the traffic file?BTW - I bought FSlive and I DECOMPILED the resultant traffic file with TTOOLS. I'm not real good at looking at this data but I think there are flights to/from international airports. If I can find a tool that displays the traffic file in a flight board or text format I would be able to report back.Thanks in advance,Ron Sagel

Hello, Can anyone please tell me how i can re-install FACT & FAJS Airports in South Africa. I did someonething like add a BLG or something but for the life of me can't recall and I have so much add on scenery 20GB its a nigtmare for me to locate which one is attributable. I am hoping the easy solution is to locate the default scenery on the CD and install it. I am hoping I can do this to save unecessary hassle. I don't know if anyone here has an interest in combat sims, Pacific Fighters in particular, but there are some things happening which might affect the whole flight sim industry. Apparently all work has stopped on certain add-on aircraft, because the manufacturer has demanded licensing (fees). It's particularly troubling because the add-ons were to be free. I remember when Flight 1 released Ultimate Traffic, they had similar issues with American. They got around it by releasing the liveries separately as a free download. Why this wouldn't work with PF I don't know, but right now it sounds a little grim.Todd

This is a very realistic looking model. I haven't flown it yet, just looked at it. One problem that I noticed with the Air Canada textures for the Vistaliners 727-200 is that the Maple Leaf logo on the right side of the tail is backwards. Will this be fixed?

I install an aircraft that was intially for FS2002 in to FS9. It would not land due to coming in way to high so I subsituted the default FS9 737-400 aircraft.cfg & .air file for the original and after cut & pasting the original [Lights] and minor adjustment to the [contact points] it look fine sitting at the gate and lands great but when it taxis it look as if it's doing a WHEELIE. I'm not sure what's wrong now. Any suggestions, questions or comments? DougD

Hi All,I'm OK with add on aircraft but not so good with scenery. I can't get the West Malling scenery up with the RealAir Spit. Discovered that it doesn't load automatically so found the files but where do I put them and do I have to create folders? If so where? Thanks in advance,Kev

HiDont know if this is normal, but why do Ai planes (installed via the PAI installer) that are issued the command by ATC to HOLD SHORT OF RUNWAY XX just briefly hold and then just takeoff without getting clearance to takeoff.Any ideas ?Thanks

Fewer and fewer FS2002 users are here, but for those who want to enjoy the new F 70/100 visual model, it does display (complete with wing views) in FS2002.You should be able to slave the FS2002 panel to the new visual model. -John

I finally got a new computer that allows me to push the sliders full right for the first time ever - even with the high end jetliners. I always thought this would be a good thing. This morning I flew the new DF727 from KDET to KORD. First problem - there is an ILS transmitter too close to the taxiway at KDET and didn't realize it until too late! This wouldn't have been a problem with the scenery setting toned down just a tad. Once I restarted and lined-up I realized this wasn't going to be an easy takeoff. The FSGenesis landclass has tall buildings right at the end of the runway - autogen that I would not have seen at a more modest setting. I gunned it and managed to get …

Guys, I posted this on DF's forum but was interested in getting some opinions from our home forum flyers. Many of you are experts in the 727 area and deal with the 727 in RL so here is my post, please comment.." First off I love the 727 guys but I am at a loss as to why the engine type JT8D-11 is used when this must be a super RARE type for the 727 series? I cannot locate "any" with them that are flying! Hi, good people, can anyone point me in the right direction. I've recently reinstalled my FS2004 making use of a lot of the excellent tips in these forums. However in my previous FS2004 incarnation, I picked up a tip from somewhere about a change I could make to the fs9.cfg file (I think) which allowed Shift + Z to show minimum / average / maximum rate frames over a 30 second rolling period. This was mighty useful in trying to read the #### numbers.Is anyone out there using this? If so, how do I do it again? I've searched these forums for ages and I can seem to find the answer.Micky

Gentlemen / Ladies, When a panel clickspot is clicked during a flight to go through different panel views, the last position of the plane on the ground is displayed first, before seeing the actual panel view requested. Hi all, here is a stupid question, but what is a flight director and how do you use it? I notice that then I turn the FD off the needs go from a perfect crosshair to each corner. Im practicing my IFR in FS2004 and understand the VOR needles for ILS, but do not understand the use of the flight director nor have I ever used the GPS in FS2004.Thanks,Bill

Does anyone know what happens in KSEA when the GLASR or EPHRATA STAR is used for landing South on runways 16 L or R? According to the STAR, aircraft turn heading 250 after HETHR and await vectors for final. Trouble is, at 10 or 12,ooo feet and only a short distance from final ILS intercept (DGLAS @ 1900 feet), this does not seem adeaquate and makes for a very short final. Do you know if aircraft are turned off the STAR earlier than HETHR, or if they are vectored from HETHR back downwind for a longer final?

I was considering purchasing the Dreamfleet Boeing 727 but have noticed the screenshots show what look like Pirelli tyres on the main undercarriage legs. I have NEVER seen Pirelli tyres on a 727 and consider this a GROSS inaccuracy.Can anyone confirm what brand of tyre should be fitted to the 727 and do you think Dreamfleet would model them accurately?No its not April 1st but reading some of the threads on here I keep thinking it is...RegardsAdam
