Hi everyone, I would like to know in what order should I install my add ons with a fresh install of FSX DVD version? I installed a few times in different orders but just wondered if it made any difference to the game. I thought that the traffic would be the last bit to install and i use the traffic360 as I think its newer than my UT2.... I am in search of an add-on GPS or FMC to use with my Carenado 172N, 182Q, and 208B aircraft the can be updated via Navigraph. Hopefully, I would be able to use with some of my other GA aircraft. I was unable to successfully install vasFMC which appears to use Navigraph data. The other FSX center packages listed on the Navigraph page seem to be part of panel kits and not meant for integration into the aircraft. Frankly, I'm not holding out much hope, but I would like to fly some of my GA aircraft on VATSIM under IFR conditions and be able to take advantage of updated navaids, intersections, etc. Thanks, Ernie

Have been assigning functions in FSX to the buttons on my Saitek quadrant (yoke) and wanted to assign the NAV light to a button. When I select the Controller type=yoke and Event category=lights the only selections under Buttons/Keys I get are Landing lights (6 of them), Lights (all), Panel lights and Strobe lights. What happened to NAV, beacon, taxi lights etc? Any suggestions?

Hi All I have FSX with Acceleration and after doing some tweaking I believe I've lost these three texture files because when I load a flight I get a warning saying these textures have failed to load. Baydefault, Hatch1.bmp and Hatch1_LM. bmp. I've tried a "repair" but with no joy and of course you cannot access texture cab files from the disk these days. I'm not even sure in which bit of FSX they reside. Can anyone out there provide me with these textures please, as I really don't want to do a complete re-install, it would take me forever. Bonjour, In P3D the shortcuts for live camera contral have the same sensitivity than in FSX, but this produce in P3D a very slow motion and the function is useless. I changed the sensitivity from 5 to 25 and now the speed is good but the motion is very jerky and the effect is not pleasant. Is there an explanation for this behavior in P3D. Cheers Claude

After a complete reinstall of everything, including the operating system, I installed FSX and FSX-SE. Now that all is done, do I use FSX-SE exclusively ? Lots of good reports about STEAM but I am still a bit confused about how the two interact. I realize that some addons might not work with SE but that is no problem. In short: I have been "flying" MS Flight simulator since it appeared on my Apple 2E (remember the green screen?) and am slow to move on to this new approach. Some education will be appreciated. I've gone back and forth on this with the FSL people, but nothing on their website seems to help, and I can't for the life of me think of anything else to do, so I ask here in a vain hope that someone has an idea for anything at all to try? I'd be willing to try almost anything at this point.

Since I am planning to change my MoBo I need to be prepared for FSX wanting to be re-activated on startup. But I dont have my serial anymore. It has been 5 years since my Installation and its running fine, so I dont really want to reinstall everything. Before getting flamed as a pirate: my FSX is legit and already installed and activated on my machine. Are there any ways (registry etc.) to prevent FSX from needing reactivation? thx in advance.

Hello everyone, Recently I bought the wilco e190, and am quite surprised how good it is! But yesterday I updated the FMC database via navigraph (a bit late I know) and every time I programme the Approach in the FMC e.g. ILS 4L/VOR 4L I get things such as in LFMN: I 0 4L. Or R 0 4 L Y. I know this probably isn't a bug but could some one guide me to which one is the ILS approach etc. Cheers Dylan

Folks, I'm sure this topic is out there..but can't locate a solution. I normally change GATE Assignments to earlier retro airlines..at the freeware airports offered in Avsim..etc... I use the Library Object Manager (Airport Design Editor version. 1.55###) to import objects on my list... I see a STOCK ITEM name:jetway..that appears as yellow box..on the airport layout..yet when finish compiling this airport (I used the same bgl..just overrite it) and begin my push back...these items...are NO SHOWS at the airport... I am still learning my way around the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980. How do I go about uninstalling old drivers?

Not sure if this is a Windows problem or a FS2Crew or Avilasoft problem or FSX problem. After working successfully for several years, suddenly when I drag an FS2Crew or Avilasoft window to my 2nd monitor the window moves that the content is replaced by a black screen within a few seconds. Occasionally the content will appear after a couple minutes but not often. I like to keep my sim screen uncluttered and the windows such as FS2Crew, Radar Contact and Aivlasoft EFB on my second monitor. Would appreciate any help. As those of you who have FSX-SE may recall when you installed it on your computer using the DTG site you were presented with the installation page, or at least I was, that offered one installation destination and one only. There was no way to select anything other than C:/Program File (x86) and that's where my FSX-SE is now installed. I do not have FSX installed. It was totally removed awhile back before I installed FSX-SE. A couple of questions if I may......... Is there any way to shift or change the current location (above) of FSX-SE to C:/ FSX-SE? It only appears to have one frequency and not two interchangeable ones. Not sure if I can tune a VOR or ADF beacon in and fly radials to/from it. I now understand the autopilot, but might have to fudge a GPS into the aircraft to see where I'm flying on an airway etc... as for dialling in an ILS...

I recently discovered Marshall’s Q400 videos and have a serious problem with them. Marshall’s videos are so informative and entertaining—and come out so frequently—that I no longer have time to fly the plane. I think the only solution is to start doing some long flights so I can watch the videos during cruise. I especially liked the Cuban cigar flight, and look forward to Marshall’s perhaps sharing his thoughts on wine (it’s a simulation after all) one of these days. I've always had a soft spot for the old Victor & thanks to Virtavia's back catalogue of freeware Alphasim aircraft I can enjoy a lovely looking representation of this fine aeroplane. I have tinkered around with the sound sliders, but the cockpit noise doesn't change even with the sliders un-ticked. The environmental noise appears to be coded into the model somehow... and it's too loud I've read about people using headsets and separating the sound from PC speakers (ATC etc.) but I'm happy for now with all the other aircraft in my collection. Any ideas please?

Hello guys. Since I bought my new gtx 970, I cant get rid of jaggies. Please have a look at the pictures below. is there a conflict between nvidia control panel 3d settings and Nvidia Inspector? Where I am making a mistake?, I tried a couple different AA settings in Inspector (8xS, 8xSQ, 16xS). I rebooted. Nothing has worked, when I run FSX, I get no AA. If I turn AA on inside FS, it looks great though. Please notice that AA is unchecked in FSX Settings. Gforce game driver: 347.88 thank you

Hello - this is my first post on your forum. I have already learned a ton of stuff in just a few days, and I appreciate all your expertise. I have a question about Wazza's wonderful T-6. Everything works great except the Radio Compass needle is stuck on 90 degrees. When I tune the ADF to nearby known frequencies, the Radio Compass doesn't move. Wazza suggested I check the aircraft config file, and sure enough, the radio section did not match up with what he said they should be. So I corrected them (Com.1 and Nav.1), and that didn't work.
