In a recent post I told you I had written stories and that some of them were published here on the forum. I recently wrote another one about my cats. A lot of cat stuff is published here so here is my contribution. XYZYX and ABCBA During the summer we often left out back door open to fill the house with fresh air. Then one day in walked a beautiful Russian Blue pussycat. Apparently she liked us and decided to stay. We named he Shadow. She was a friendly cat. She would sit on our coffee table and purr while Betty and I were watching television in the evenings. Occasionally she would jump up and sit on our laps. She looked rather fat to me and…

Shame … I use Foreflight and I know MANY pilots that do from GA to Commercial as it’s an extremely valuable tool. I applied for a software engineering job with Foreflight several years ago but they were C++ shop and my C++ was not at the level they required. A pattern of Private Equity killing off quality software for short term gain and long term failure. The executive branch of greed … ultimately an over valued CEO and board who are really just Admin jobs making decision on things they don’t understand. Looks like Garmin have picked up A LOT of the fallout of engineers.

I know I bought it because I came across this old screenshot in one my drives...I think its the Digital aviation F-100...I remember buying it and being excited that it finally had a VC...and there was a CTD that was fixed by downloading the updated version (which worked)...I remember all of this!...But there is NO record of this plane ever existing...The exe is not in any of my storage...there is no record of it in my emails...and I spent the better part of the day scouring the web and I couldn't even find a remote trace of Digital Aviation website...Serious Mandela effect....Am I nuts?https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ao_e2_1LsyS5TuTZv_TEBG2NDeQeb40U/view?usp=sharing

I had given up newspapers and television news for Google News. I could scroll down and find a story to read that interested me and click on it. No more. Now they want to add cookies or make me register or make me buy a subscription to read what they write. And I don't know whats authentic or AI written anymore. I long for the good old days when we got 15 minutes of new by good guys every evening and that was it. Remember these guys? John Chancellor Huntlly - Brinkley Dan Rather Peter Jennings Tom Brokaw Edward R. Murrow Harry Reasoner Eric Sevareid Howard J Smith …

He recently said that January would be a transition, one way or another. After he was diagnosed, he said that antiandrogens relieved the pain a lot, but he was using a walker. Later he was paralyzed from the waist down as the cancer had spread to his spine. He will be missed. Hook

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (Asobo Studio) Looks who's at my work! Apparently the addon market is doing well. It's an old Falcon 50 but still surprising to see they have that kind of income. Well done folks.

Trying to fly the iFly Max and Fenix as close to RL as possible. One thing I'm not clear on - how is it decided what approach to fly? For instance, at my home airport, the primary runway has an ILS (also with CAT I-III options) and two RNAV approaches. Also always have the option of a visual approach. I get the various CAT options for the ILS but given that the RNAV approaches have similar minimums to a standard ILS approach, who makes the decision on which approach is used? Looking at Flight Aware, it appears that most of the time, the ILS is used, so if that's the case, what's the point of the RNAV options? Any info on this would be much appreciated.

If my current laptop which is below minimum specs for MSFS work with MSFS, I'm betting these new models will work with MSFS too.
