Shame … I use Foreflight and I know MANY pilots that do from GA to Commercial as it’s an extremely valuable tool. I applied for a software engineering job with Foreflight several years ago but they were C++ shop and my C++ was not at the level they required. Trying to fly the iFly Max and Fenix as close to RL as possible. One thing I'm not clear on - how is it decided what approach to fly? For instance, at my home airport, the primary runway has an ILS (also with CAT I-III options) and two RNAV approaches. Also always have the option of a visual approach. I get the various CAT options for the ILS but given that the RNAV approaches have similar minimums to a standard ILS approach, who makes the decision on which approach is used? Looking at Flight Aware, it appears that most of the time, the ILS is used, so if that's the case, what's the point of the RNAV options? Any info on this would be much appreciated.
