Na, what's pathetic and immature is when one keeps denigrating the sim at every chance they get while holding another sim as their precious/superior, but yet keep finding themselves constantly on the forum of the sim they denigrate to keep bashing it so insecurely🙂 

Of course there are simmers who use multiple sims and no one said that's bad, and of course it's great for multiple sims to continue to exist... it's the above category of a particular set who keep coming around here to spew what they spew that many here push back against.

Where did I (or indeed anyone) say they wanted LR to be calling the shots for Microsoft? 

The point is to have more than one sim with each publisher calling its own shots.

Krakin have you ever actually spent any serious amount of time in X-Plane and actually used it as a flight simulator, or are you one of those who has a negative opinion about it just because it doesn't always look as visually appealing as MSFS?

Laminar deserve a lot more credit for their work than is given and they continue to make good headway. I'm a customer of theirs and I am more than happy with the progress they're making. I'm especially excited because I already enjoy the simulator, and I know what's cooking in the background which is going to make it even better.

Let's be fair here, neither sim is short of users who can't tell the difference between subjective opinion and demonstrable fact.

That's great you found Krakin on x-plane.org, now looking at his posts there https://forums.x-plane.org/profile/882219-krakin/ where is he denigrating XP? I do see him trying to counter some of the expected stuff said about MSFS there though 🙂 Compare that to the posting history of yours or some of the other usual suspects' here on avsim, and all is clear. Thanks as always for blessing us with your presence though, do you have any new fake stuff or misdirections to peddle? 😂

I'm not Krakin but every time I install an XP demo I'm blown away by... how pedestrian the impression is.  Reminiscent of my P3D days.  Nope, haven't put any effort in to 'fix' that w/ various suggested solutions.  Why?  Already have it...ALL.   There is nothing meaningful, to me, in what XP offers, over what we already have in MSFS.  So for me that's absolutely the case:  doesn't always look as visually REALISTIC as does MSFS 20/24. Sometimes it can be 'prettier' but its artwork reminds me of Toy Story and the lack of realism that implies.  I'm grateful there is a worthy alternate should MSFS ever collapse but as I say--offers nothing meaningful over what I already have.  To this day, I'm blown away by that visual impression.  This morning taking off out of KPSP to KSEZ at dawn in the fabulous AS CRJ550 v2 in 2024 was mind blowingly gorgeous.  And that matters massively--this is why people install their $79 copy of XP only to start installing addons to fix the basics.  

It's really hilarious to see how - with every announcement Microsoft, or one of their teams, makes about flight simulation, X-Planers keep rushing over here to tell us that Microsoft is about to collapse and die. Pure comedy gold!
