Fulcrum Simulator Controls

This is the official support forum for Fulcrum Simulator Controls hardware. Support issues and questions relating to our flight simulator controls can be asked here.

Dear all, I am posting this update to let you know that Fulcrum still aims to fulfil all outstanding orders. It is not a particularly eloquent statement, but I hope it does the job. I don’t expect any sympathy or want to keep apologising as I feel that after so many delays customers who are still waiting are getting fed up of hearing excuses. I just want to explain what is happening and why things are like they are. The short answer is a lack of time on my part. The longer answer is below. When I made the decision to honour orders placed rather than walk away from it all, I knew that it would take a lot of work on my part. I did not realise how much it…

Based on the suggestion of @Ray Proudfoot I'm opening a topic with the data on various Fulcrum yoke parts that may get broken and can be replaced easily enough (some basic soldering skills will still be required). This info is based on my own experience with the yoke; I'm not affiliated with Fulcrum company in any way but with the current lack of support for the yoke owners any info on the relatively easy fixes might be helpful. The handle (here are the pics of the internals): 1. The pushbuttons are C&K 8125SHZ. The plastic caps used are 80180 series; the black ones are 801802000, the red one- 801803000. Different cap colors are available, you can check them…

Ahem. 😐 We have had reports from a couple of customers that have tried to lubricate the main shaft and front bushing with teflon spray as recommended by us. It turns out that they were using Blaster Dry Lube. This has either had no effect or actually added some friction. When the spray was wet it improved things but once dry it left a white powdery residue and more friction. I did some googling and it seems that there are a lot of reports of Blaster leaving behind a white residue, including on their own site. When releasing the yoke from full forward it will bounce backwards and forwards a few times even when it is 'dragging' For clarity here is one I pulled off…

Well.. just having a play around now with the A2A Comanche first. Works straight out of the box with P3D, I’ve not calibrated or changed curves so just as it came. The rotation felt great. Best of all was hanging around on the incipient stall deliberately out of trim, with the nose up in the air and the yoke pulled right back close to my chest with the out of trim forces wanting to pull the yoke back away from me it was incredible. Followed by a stall with the recovery just a matter of releasing the back pressure and letting the yoke slide forward under its own loading and allowing the aircrafts nose drop down below the horizon , it was simply superb. I’m …

Hi all Welcome to our official support forum. This can be used for asking support and sales questions relating to our hardware products. Alternatively we can also be contacted through the enquiries email on our website. The latest news and developments can be found on the news page of our main site as well as being posted in here or on our Facebook and twitter feeds. This forum is focused on support issues, direct product questions and announcements rather than general chat about hardware and simming. I am happy to engage in chat as you know, I am an enthusiastic simmer myself, but we would prefer to keep this forum more focused on our products and support…

Hi there, I encountered problems with the yoke. The yoke is not recognized anymore, I have tested this on different computers. Anyone with tips on how to resolve this problem, or has anyone experience with a replacement board? It would be wonderful if there is a board with the same connecters.

  8. After installing the latest Sim update 5 beta, Fulcrum yoke is not detected in the controller setting. The yoke still works fine in the sim just not being detected and not being able to set up the button assignments. Strangely, Tobii , which I do not have, is shown in controller setting. Anyone has similar issue/problem? Regards, KK

This isn't an easy post to write even though I am excited about being able to share some good news with you. It is actually really intimidating to publicly post things when you have faced public criticism and abuse after messing up as badly as I did with Fulcrum. Initially I just wanted to hide away from everything. As most people who are reading this section of the forum know, Fulcrum Simulator Controls ran into difficulty and ceased trading. They should also know that all customers at that time were written to explaining the situation. In that email I went through some of the reasons why the company went down and left us all out of work and left some customers with…

Well despite many hold ups we are getting near the end of our yoke pre order list. This means we are in a place where we can finally launch our throttle kickstarter! IF you want a high quality throttle to go with your yoke there is no better option than this! Check our web page and the kick starter for more details tonight.

I've found my Fulcrum yoke to be the best sim accessory I've purchased so far. But...yesterday I plugged it in and discovered it has developed a fault. The elevator axis performs flawlessly still, but the aileron axis has developed a problem. What doesnt work... anti-clockwise motion from 12 o'clock centred to full deflection barely registers. What works... Clockwise motion from 12 o clock centred to full deflection works perfectly. Return to centre works fine. Returning the yoke from full anti-clockwise deflection to centre IS recognised and consequently the sim yoke then is misaligned with the physical Fulcrum control as the physical …

Hello, I’m interested in any information on how long the current wait is for an order to be shipped. I’m interested in buying one but it seems like the wait times are quite a bit longer than the four weeks mentioned on the website and perhaps a bit undetermined at this time? Just want some assurances before paying up front, thanks for any info.

I've dreaded anything happening to my yoke but this morning it did. The left button on the right side of the yoke handle is stuck down or the spring is broken. I've sent a message to Chris but I'm not hopeful of a reply. Anyone any ideas how this can be repaired please? I've removed the black caps just to see what was underneath.

Hi all, and especially to our customers and backers. I am very sorry for the current state of communications and production. I also understand that there are some very frustrated customers and rightly so. I feel like all we have managed to do is miss deadlines and annoy customers. It is no secret around here that we are been seriously late with shipments, this has been for various reasons. Firstly, let me assure you that Fulcrum are still trading and producing. I know there have been questions about our status and even that we might be a scam. I can assure you that we are not a scam! We are still producing the best flight controllers available and we will meet all ou…

I noticed my left triim switch is continuously sending a #2 button press (as if the switch is pushed forward). The #3 button (same switch but downward) seems unaffected. For now I have removed its assignment but what can be done to fix this? I have no experience in soldering unfortunately, always thought I'd take a course one day but never did.

A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread asking for advice about isues with my FulcrumSim yoke, as I was under the impression that the company had gone AWOL. Ray Proudfoot very kindly offered some advice regarding Chris at FulcrumSim and Allard helped me with an email. I sent an email on the Friday and received a reply from Chris on the Sunday, offering to help correct any issues immediately. However, I didn't actually read the email until the Tuesday as it had ended up in my spam folder (very helpful.) After replying to Chris's email, he offered to organise a courier and the yoke was returned to him on the Thursday. On Sunday he emailed me to say that the yoke had been re…

I'm hoping someone can offer some help with my dilemma. For some reason, that I have been unable to work out, all the buttons and switches on my yoke no longer work. The only one that works to some description is the push toggle switch on the right, but for some reason it no longer works as originally assigned, but has replaced another assignment to another button on the left which changes views! It's virtually unusable. At first I thought it may be software issue, so I have checked the functioning in the windows joystick panel only to show that the all axis work, but none of the buttons. This has been confirmed when doing a similar test on another computer too. I have re…

@tutmeister I wanted to call your attention to an issue that evolved with my Fulcrum One -- I have had the yoke several months now and remain very happy with it. The pitch movement had developed a slight hitch, or bump in it, it was very slight just coming off its center point. So minor it almost felt like some pet hair had found its way into the mechanism, but that is not what I discovered. When I opened up the case and moved the axis I noticed that the flange that the front bearing in the carriage is mounted to, (This is the flange with the large bolts that take a 5mm allen key), was moving on the left hand side up and down slightly. I recentered the shaft a…

Hi everybody, I’ve just discovered I have a problem with my Fulcrum Yoke . I would welcome advice as to whether firstly my diagnosis of the problem is correct, or whether it is more serious and secondly whether my proposed method of remedy is sensible and sound. Firstly the yoke model. Looking at Sergey’s photos my yoke is the updated one with digital sensors. The problem - I first noticed on returning to MSFS after a few weeks’ absence is that the A2A Comanche seemed to be requiring a lot of yoke pull back and excessive upward trimming during landing in order to minimise descent. Then by accident I discovered that if I pushed the yoke forward it would in,…

I haven't been able to use it for several months due to a breakdown. First of all, the aileron axes are asymmetrical and the pitch axis is not recognized. I opened the inside to find the damaged part and this part was broken. https://ibb.co/x14gY8d https://ibb.co/rbmf6fG https://ibb.co/HgVfZqc https://ibb.co/hRKhDrV I'm a high school student and I've been saving up my pocket money for several years to buy this expensive yoke to become a pilot. Please find this part and tell me how to fix it. Chris said he would replace the yoke with a new one, but he didn't. https://ibb.co/SBfpxvN pls help me....

In the middle of a flight the buttons on the yoke started giving strange results. For example, the rocker switch on the right horn started to act more light the hat switch in terms of the button # that FSUIPC would see. Very strange. First thing I tried was powering down the yoke and restarting it hoping that might "reset" the yoke firmware, but no luck. I then took the yoke handle off the shaft and tried to clean the contacts between the handle and shaft as best as I could. When I reassembled the handle back onto the shaft I was a bit surprised and greatly relieved to find all was working as expected again. I don't really know what the issue was -- could of been some di…

Hi all Please see our news page or social media posts too but here is a cut and paste from the pre-order page: https://www.fulcrumsim.com/pre-orders-opening-17-08-2020/ The fulcrum One yoke is now undergoing final consumer certification (CE, FCC, BS etc) and will be ready to start shipping within the next 4 weeks (Shipping should start around the middle of September 2020). Due to the ongoing Corona virus restrictions that are in place in the UK and the knock on effects of the full lock-down earlier this year, there are still delays with our suppliers and with the official consumer testing certification. This means that when we start shipping products t…
