FS2CREW: PMDG 747-400 QUEEN OF THE SKIES II

Hello all and fs2crew, I thought to suggest a new way of handling the ELC on 747-8 if SDK is still limiting from direct interaction. Just like the way it is done on the 777 when pop-up mode is disabled. FO press the checklist key, user clicks on items as the FO reads through it. Some checklist will not even require User’s interaction such as BEFOR, AFTER TO CKLST and LANDING CHKLST, Thank you fs2crew For the great work you do.

Capts, PMDG just released the P3D V5 version of the PMDG 747 QOTS II. We need to make a small change to FS2Crew's Config Manager to make things work properly in V5. We'll get that out asap.

Hi I have just noticed lining up on Runway 22 at EGSS Stansted it is using the old 23 ID is there any way I can change this to 22 ? Regards Steve

Hi I have had this trouble before ,and was told to uninstall pmdg 747 version 2 and FS2 Crew ,which I done seemed to clear the error code SDK ,and was using it ok for a while now the same problem has reappeared ,I have done the same as before but still have the same problem, this is causing a lot of problems with uninstalling as I have a lot of buttons and real switches involved that I have to redo in f.s.u.i.p.c,as I have built my own flight deck .Please can some one help as I have tried everything . regards Steve

I literally searched every form and cant find a fix. Im on P3D V4.4, PMDG 747 QOTS 747-4/8 V1.5, (Latest Update.) I disabled UAC, disabled antivirus, tried running everything with admin, and reinstalled FS2Crew Multiple times with the Installer also ran as Admin, any ideas for a fix? Thanks in advance.

Hello Bryan. I‘ve noticed on several occasions, that the Copilot is not retracting the Flaps after Landing, although the after Landing flow is triggered successfully. The FO is performing all after Landing actions correctly, except for the Flaps. Version is 1.5 Can‘t remember exactly if this happened on 1.4 as well. Thanks in advance and best regards, Toto

Hello, Noob user. How do you guys sync the timers between FS2C's Main Panel and PMDG's FMC's FSAction's Turn Around? They both start off together fine: FS2C MP at +59; FMC's Short turnaround at 1:00 and counting down... However, it soon happens that at a few points in my FS2C activities I speed time up (aka right-click on the down arrow). Before you know it, I'm at single digits mins left to go in the FS2C MP timer, but PMDG's FMC Ground Operations timer still shows like 23 mins or something... I am going to assess that SOP2 is for hand flying. I have been following the checklists to the letter and tried this on three flights this morning. Everything goes smooth, no errors, EICAS is clear, FMC has no messages, yet whenever I engage the autopilot on SOP2 it just disengages again. When it is trying to activate, the magenta crosshairs on the display go to either none or a single line (random between vertical or horizontal). I do indeed have perfect flight guidance as long as I am hand flying, so, no, this is NOT an IRS alignment issue. After installing the new 1.5 update. I loaded my PMDG 747-8, I opened up the main panel, I selected the SEC button. I selected the Config button, and I click on L1, L2 and L3 and could not open the setup, callouts and the misc. I click on the APP button and tried entering the fix app alt, missed app alt and the minimums, but nothing is happening. I opened up the FS2crew PMDG 747 main from the desktop, disabled, started my sim, closed out my sim open up the desktop main and enabled the fs2crew PMDG747 and still does the same thing. I am unable to select half of the keys. V/R Chris

When I start preflight checklist I am supoposed to answer "Checked 100 percent" but FS2Crew understands it as "Check one hundred thousand" There is no way to come past this. How to learn the program the difference between percent and thousand?

Just to be sure, I am an happy user of the voice version of FS2crew for the 747-400 queen of the sky. Does the voice control version work identically with the 747-8 expansion pack of PMDG? Thank you

Just as I was climbing through the transition level, the FO called "Transition", and I then called "Altimeters transition, set Standard". The reply was..."standard set, crosschecked, passing flight level six three seven climbing flight level two three zero". The TA programmed into the VNAV climb page was 5000 feet. I think I was passing filght level 060 when the callout came, so, should have been more like "...passing flight level zero six one" or something. Flight level six three seven is something like 63700 feet after all! Using P3D v4.5 and units set to "hybrid" (feet, millibars). Any thoughts? Regards, Kyrre Andersen

Hi Bryan AFTER LANDING CHECKLIST (PLEASE) FUEL XFER MAIN 1 AND 4 (F) SET (is the fluid transfered from engine-tank 1 to 2 and engine-tank 4 to 3 ?) What if you choose to shutdown engine 2 and 3 during taxi as per the manual? Will that meen you have 4 engines not running during taxi ? It happened ones on my system 😎 Michael Moe

Could anybody tell me what is wrong ,I am getting a SDK Error.on the 747 v3 pmdg ,I have looked on the configuration screen and all is well there ,also I have done all the things that is in the Forum suggestions, I have also reinstalled FS2 Crew, still got the same problem, also 747 is up to date.so I cant use it ,apart from flying myself .

I noticed a configuration option for "fuel uplift". I may have overlooked this in the manual. What is the effect of a Yes answer vs a No answer? Never mind - found the answer. I do use GSX, if that matters. Franklin Duncan

Hello, It has happened several times now that the FO keeps saying "double check that please" after the Flaps challenge during the before takeoff checklist. I'm using voice control and SOP 1. I do not have any axis tied to the flaps, and the upper EICAS shows the actual flaps setting that has been briefed for. By the way, I've tried both flaps 10 and flaps 20 for takeoff. Captain: "Before takeoff checklist please" FO: "Flaps?" Captain: "Flaps twenty" - (when flaps 20 have been briefed for and confirmed set on the EICAS) FO then says: "Double check that please, before takeoff checklist complete" (even though the flaps is actually at twenty). Hi there, It seems that in SOP2 the virtual FO turns on the FUEL MAIN XFER 1 & 4 switch on the taxy-in, but that seems to me only to be an abnormal procedure following a malfunction causing a fuel imbalance. Was this an SOP in the airline replicated in SOP2? At the moment, I'm having to go to the overhead and turn it off and that is a little irritating, as one of the fantastic advantages of having a virtual FO is that I don't have to look up during taxy. Otherwise, I'm loving having FS2Crew in the 747! Thanks

I have just installed the 747-8 expanson. The letter C is assigned to autofeather (as usual in all my aircrafts) but when I press it the main panel does not pop up? Any suggestion?

I read previous topics on this but all the stuff the support staff suggested didn't work. I am on the latest version of both the 747 and FS2Crew. I still use P3Dv4.3 so I am not sure if version 1.3 of FS2Crew for the 747 or even 747 itself requires v4.4. This has worked in the past with no issues until now.
