Hello again: I just finished another flight, and I'm noticing a trend beginning here (this is somewhat new), but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, or, that matter, what I'm even doing differently. I just recently switched to SOP 2; I don't think it started precisely then, but it may have. Sometime between when I call for the Descent Checklist prior to descent and 10,000 (I know it's not right at descent, but I didn't pay attention to which flow the FO was working on at the time), I get a Master Caution: ELEC. I look(/pan) up, to discover that my FO has turned off the #1 and #2 ELEC switches. I summarily turn them back on and continue the approach normal…

Hi all, I'm using the button version of the NGX Reboot and so far its fantastic. One thing I can't find is asking the FO to press command A after takeoff, this used to be done on the secondary button in the old NGX FS2crew, also if you did not have LNAV and VNAV selected he would use HDG SEL and LVL CHANGE. Is this something that is not modelled with SOP2? It's about the only thing I miss as everything else is miles better than the original.

Bryan, just to be sure, do you confirm that in SOP 3 (and in the other SOPs as well) during approach you call for flaps 5, then straight to flaps 15, skipping the flaps 10 call? Thank you.

First off thanks for publishing and I'm loving the new SOP choices! I do have a crazy question though, I would like to assign a GoFlight button to activate the hard mute (which I can do mapped the keystroke to the button) and assign the LED above this button when HM is enabled (which I cannot). Does this just read the ALTERNATE STATIC SOURCE OPEN simconnect value of 0/1? Also is there a var that can emulate the Pre-flight button press on the fmc as well as the approach and departure briefs? Again make the LED extinguish once these have been completed? Thanks Kevin

Just wondering if it is the FO's job to reach over and turn the IRS from off to NAV in real life procedures? Wouldn't the captain do this since it is right above their head?

Hi Bryan, I am back with the 737 after 3 weeks out and suddenly I experience a strange problem with SOP 3: during approach all ok until flaps 10, but when I call for either flaps 15, gear down (or together) or landing checklist to flaps, the FO does nothing, although everything is correctly captured in the green speech bar. I tried several times. If instead I call for flaps 25, 30 or 40, he sets them correctly. What did I forget in these 3 weeks? Thank you.

I am running P3D v2/5+ all hotfixes. I had the vintage NGX working with no problems but now that i have installed reboot version my headset mic won't work. I have checked to be sure the mic is not muted, checked every step of the install for speech recognition, configured the mic again and it is working in Win7 at 100% output. Once I get in the VC I get the FO voice but when I try to respond nothing happens. I also checked to make sure I am in Voice mode in FS2Crew and HM is not on. I believe I have everything in setup set properly to work through the headset. I am anxious to get my first flight working with the reboot version. Anyone got some ideas? Thank…

Hello, I have a doubt with sop 3, in the "ten checks" for high elevation airports. I read in the manual that the F/O must call altimeters to do the FL100 checks, and the aircraft must be under 13000ft and above 7000ft. The elevation of La paz airport (SLLP) is 13313ft. Will the "ten checks" be done in the TL, which is 18000ft ? How's the procedure for this, using sop3 ? Regards,

I am wondering when I do my decent checklist about setting final approach fix, decision height and missed approach altitude. If I am going by FSX default ATC, how do I go about setting this up, considering my TOD is usually much farther back from when they tell me to decend? They don't usually give me a runway to land on until that point. Do you use default fsx or just planning the landing runway before when setting up the FMC on the ground? I have PFPX so it does give me a departing runway and landing runway but sometimes FSX ATC will have me taking off at a different runway. Hope this isn't one of those "stupid questions."

Hello, Having two possible issues with the FS2Crew reboot button edition. First issue is that if the simulation crashes FS2Crew resumes where it left off when the simulator is restarted even if from new. A massive issue for me currently, i can't complete a single flight due to GFX card driver issues. Second issue i run nVidia surround at 5760x1080, the FS2Crew panel is stretched; this is pretty common across FS addons, but the first time i have ever had this issue with FS2Crew, with other editions they look fine without additional configuration.

I am still a noobie to the PMDG 737 and FS2CREW so I apologise if these questions are basic :-( In the Captain's Before Start Procedure the first check is Takeoff Landing Data Card complete, does anyone know where I can see one or get a copy of one? In the Captain's Before Start Procedure the second check is Performance Data Check, can anyone tell me what the data would be that is being referred to? Regards Colin

Hello, Just a small thing: when selecting ASDE-X: no in the Approach briefing page, the PNF still put the transponder on ALT OFF after landing instead of standby. I will try to setup transponder to TARA in the config page to see if it changes anything but when flying on IVAP it is a but disturbing as the transponder stays in mode C instead of standby after landing if no manual action and ASDE-X is not used on IVAO.

Hi everyone! Just downloaded the new Reboot, looks like a great product but there are a few things holding me back from actually using it. for starters my microphone is not registering at all through FS2Crew. My computer recognizes it perfectly and I have gone through all the speech recognition training needed. I read through all the documentation that came with FS2Crew and followed all the steps. I made sure the language setting was set to US and made sure before I started FSX that I had my Mic plugged in and the Speech recognition OFF. I don't get any sort of green bar no matter how loud I speak into the Mic. On the second panel of FS2Crew however, it does display t…

On DEP or APP brief pages I have option ASDEX set to NO. But FO still sets/leaves transponder to/in TARA on before taxi or after landing. I'm using SOP2 voice, what am I doing wrong and how to avoid turning transponder on by FO on before taxi?

Hi, I have a problem with the 737 NGX REBOOT CONFIG MANAGER, as that I can not open it up. I've turned off the UAC and downloaded again, I have also ran as admin, but no joy as of yet.. I have flown two flight on SOP3 and realize that my compact Captains flows have a bunch of mistakes and some big misinterpretation of the manual by me so I have fixed it all up and will upload to the Library very soon. Two questions though? After Takeoff Checklist (Normal) At "Altimeters", I cannot get the checklist to move ahead. If I say "CLIMBING FLIGHT LEVEL 290 SET" it shows on the green bar but the FO does nothing. Only if I say "SET AND CHECKED" will he close the checklist. On the After Takeoff Checklist (Bleeds off). FO says "Waiting for Alitmeters" but never does anything else and the FS2Crew mode rolls over to "DESCENT CHECKLIST" …

I just picked up FS2Crew and have been browsing the manual and tutorials. This is a noob question but is it possible to save and resume a flight. Will FS2Crew pickup at the point where I saved the flight? I'm not sure if the P3D save will also save the FS2Crew state. Its not always possible for me to complete a flight in one sitting. Thanks

Hello everyone, so far I really like the PMDG 737 NGX Reboot. I've played around several flights with the SOP1 and SOP2. However I've noticed a strange behaviour when securing the aircraft. The Secure Checklist, works fine, however when I speak "secure the aircraft" (after finishing the secure the aircraft checklist) my monitor goes black and FSX crashes to desktop. Here's the fault module: nvwgf2um.dll Exception code: 0xc0000005 Exception offset: 0x00648cb7 Just a guess, but it looks like that the "secure the aircraft" command triggers the nvwgf2um.dll module to fail and thus resulting in a CTD.
