H25B H850XP HD Series for FSX | P3D

Has anyone discovered how to input NATs or Lat/Long waypoints in the 850's FMS? It doesn't seem to take the standard codes like PMDG or others' FMSs do. Has anyone had any luck? Last time I did an ocean crossing, i had to go VOR to VOR Also, if anyone is interested, I recently make a YouTube tutorial on how to operate the Hawker's FMS system. Hello all, Just picked up the 850. I see various references to fixes and mods that make it a little more true-to-life from the community, but can't quite find exactly where they are. Could someone kindly help me out or point me to where these improvements may be? Thanks!

For those who like to hand-fly the Hawker with the FD active.. this latest update provides the same guidance on the PFD as with the AP connected, including VS and FLC modes. As always, send me a PM with your email address if you would like a copy.

Hello, Can anyone help me with info as to how to load the Cold & dark startup/situation. I thought I had recalled seeing something along the lines of Shift-6 after the a/c loaded, but i do not see anything for a selection of Cold & Dark. Right now, FSx always starts the Hawker from a 'engine running' point, and I'd like to do some work with Cold & Dark. Thanks to all, as I've been spending quite some time on this, but to no avail yet. I have had some trouble with this plane's weather radar. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Is there a procedure that I don't know of or a special order that I click buttons. To test it out I once changed the weather to heavy thunderstorms with lots of clouds and the radar was blank. Any input would be great thanks.

I'm not sure if this is the right procedure, but this is how I manage my altitudes. It may or may not help you, but it works for me. 1. When on the ground and receiving initial altitude by ATC, I hit the ALTS button. 2. I then set the altitude using the inner wheel (usually 4-6,000 feet depending on ATC instructions) 3. I then rotate the VS wheel to ~3000fpm (the FD will rise) That's pretty much where I leave it. On take off, engaging the AP will automagically follow the proper VS and all I need to do is manage N1%/Speed based on the performance tables. Is this how you guys do it since the FLC is still doinked?

Hey again, No TOD or TOC in this Hawker. Is it possibily time for some DC-9 influences of calculating this on our own? EX: FL310 --> FL150 | 16,000ft down....then 16*3 = 48nm So...start your descent 48nm out...round if needed, so 50nm. Next, what is your GS? For me...440. In that case, 440/2 *10 = 2,200fpm 50nm from the desired point. Any corrections? Am I flying this right haha? That's have I been doing it, works pretty fine...sad that there is not T/D calculation though! MD

I've flown the Hawker 850XP a few times now and overall I like it. But I have a few questions: When I set the alt using the "alt" knob and then ascend using FLC mode, the aircraft climbs to my preset altitude and holds there. No problem. When I descend using VS mode (@1500fpm) the plane blows right through the preset altitude and I have to manually push the alt hold button to get to the correct altitude I've preset. I don't know if this is a glitch or it's supposed to work this way. Question: Regarding power settings while at cruise altitude, say at FL360, is there a specific N1 setting to use? It seems that 96 or 97 percent works with this A/C…

Hi all, Upon request I've put up this thread as both a compendium and learning centre for XML coding for the Hawker 850XP. Given that most systems are coded in SPB or XML format, it is not outside the realm of possibility to correct a lot of flaws or bugs with the Hawker. All it takes is some XML coding knowledge and patience. Just remember that these are copyright to Carenado so I'm not sure how happy they will be with editing and distributing files. You may wish to seek permission from them to distribute any files. Any bug corrections can also be suggested to them via Carenado's support helpdesk. Hi Guys Just finished this and have layers to make other color variants rather quickly but base work had to be done proper so if one wishes to have these - I will post links to them - this will be the first more at a later date and they will look nice covering many color combos - I have found a bright texture problem when lights are o over the entrance door going to send an e-mail to Carenado to resolve this as its quite obvious from the out side shining out - it has been there from day one and just noticed it - keep you posted on that fix - thanks for looking

That's it I've had enough. It's happened twice now. After about 30 mins flying the sim just locks up and freezes. No other aircraft I have in FSX:SE has done it. I think it's going to become a hangar queen. I just hope a decent company (like RealAir) can soon come up with a biz jet.

Why does this jet wallow around too much when hand flying like the YD has no effect? Is this true or perhaps it's my joysticks rudder axis having an issue?

Hi all! I've been flying this aircraft for a couple of weeks - it's a beautiful beast! I have two major issues though: 1. It's inability to use the FSX/FSC flight plans - or at least it will use them but will not transfer the data to the FMC/Proline 21. It may be more realistic but I can't usually be bothered to first build a plan in FSC and then having to do it again (and much more painfully!) in the Proline. 2. It will not properly interact with my Saitek Pro multi panels. 3. Although not solely a H850XP problem, the appaling lack of documentation meets with Carenado's normal standards! Does this airplane have anti-skid brakes? In the external view, I see the wheels locking up when I apply the toe brakes..

Has anyone taken this bird out to it's maximum range yet? What was your experience like? I'm curious if a pond crossing is even feasible without a gas stop in Iceland, but I'd like to try it sometime. Thoughts?

Well I decided to give this plane a shot even though it has probably the ugliest UV map layout I have ever seen. Considering that there is no symmetry on most parts (such as hull) is a testament on how much Carenado does not care about quaity. Last thing I bought from them. Anyway. I still need to work on the bottom part as it just doesn't want to match due to symmetry misalignement but for now I'm leaving it as as. If somebody wants a copy PM me. Cheers

I am thinking of buying the H850XP but am worried I may end up with a great looking aircraft that ends up a slide show, and I have enough of those in my hanger. Is this aircraft as FPS friendly as the Carenado PC 12?

Hello, where is the transponder on/standby button? In FMC there is something specific to select the cruising altitude ? or you must be manually selecting waypoint by waypoint?

So, after a less than warm reception when the Hawker was released, have the bugs, glitches, glaringly obvious omitions and slapdashery been ironed out yet? Is it worth buying now?
