Purchased the H850XP a few days ago but the FMS never it loaded data and only read "loading data" which make the plane pretty useless on a flight greater than 30 mins. The manual is next to useless so am I missing something or is this a common problem.

Im enjoying flying this plain using the heading bug but need to get full navigation. Any help greatly received.

A few repaints coming to the library soon. In the meantime, PM me if you're one of those people who just can't wait....

I noticed that Carenado's N897DB scheme was exactly the NetJets paint, with different colors, so that was pretty easy to address...

XOJet had a handful of Hawkers briefly, but they were short-lived because U.S. West Coast-East Coast charters are their bread-and-butter, and the Hawker can only pull off the transcon with very favorable winds.

N851CC is the real-life version of Carenado's N2114H scheme. I changed the tail number, made the wing top-sides white, and added the decoration on the inside of the winglets. BTW, if you ever have the idea to paint the Hawker with colored wings....DO NOT. As an example: each of the vortex generators on top of the wings is a tiny part that's mapped separately. Just let that sink in....

Hi all,

If you want an improved climb capability, use my attached aircraft.cfg file.

As I posted in another thread,

FSX, as some of you know, has incorrect IAP use when calculating thrust at altitude. Inverse Air Pressure Ratio is used, instead of Inverse Air Density Ratio (the way FSX/P3D calculate thrust vs altitude).

To cut a long story short, if the max CN2% is kept at, say, 100% N2 vs altitude in the coding for all altitudes, the actual thrust you'll generate in the game is about 70% of what those engines would really generate at about 40,000 ft.

For this reason I've used a thrust scalar of 1.3 - so at altitude you should generate about real world thrust. Of course this means at sea level you'd expect to generate 130% of the real world thrust. It means you should takeoff with 94% N1 as your maximum instead of 99% N1.

Until Carenado corrects the FDE, this is an easy workaround to get near reasonable climb performance, provided you don't 'game' the system by using full throttle (as I said, keep a max of 94% N1 when taking off and you should be able to leave the throttles alone until you reach cruise altitude).

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz_9RuK6jIkhblZJTC1rUHNWdWc/view?usp=sharing

Hi All,

As with most Carenado products, the autopilot logic is esoteric at best. This one is the worst yet IMO. I have followed the Carenado Pro Line 21 User Manual instructions with no success. So, I am starting this thread in hopes of getting some input on how to get the Hawker to navigate and control altitude (ascent and descent) and keeping the info in one place where it's easily accessible for us all. Also, if anyone can make the GTN750 work with this bird, that would be great.

I've looked far and wide and can't seem to find if anyone one else has experienced this issue. I'd love to know any opinions/fixes for this!

Does anyone know how the fuel system is supposed to work?

I did a flight with the center tank full and 1000lbs in each wing tank. I did not have the aux fuel transfer on. When the wing tanks went dry the engine shut off....so I restarted with the aux transfer lever and the both started (mind you no fuel quantity displayed on the screen - both wings read 0 and the ventral tank was greyed out) -

The thing is - with both engines restarted the fuel flow on the proline screen was around 400lbs per engine but the fuel flow in the FMS was around 2500lbs and the fuel remaining was draining very fast... What is going on with this a/c.

This has to be the most buggiest product ever to come out of Carenado...

PLUS - once airborn the landing light do not function properly - among many many many many many other issues..... This sucks, and I cant get the "ELECT" cas warning to shut off... I tried the STBY INV - No luck...

I noticed that the over speed indicator on the Hawker MFD does not show/indicate properly where the standby horizon does. At flight levels the standby horizon over speed starts to go off right at the mach .80 whereas the MFD still shows room, as much as 30 to 40 knots, before seeing the red line over speed indicator appear. Was curious if others are experiencing same thing.

I have the 505 Phenom with Bert's GTN 750 MOD. I was looking at a purchase of the Hawker 850 and getting Bert's GTN 750 MOD. I am wondering if there is any big difference between the two. I also have the Cessna 550 II. I am not sure I need another biz jet in my hanger. I have a large number of turboprops to fly also. Just looking on some thoughts from the community.
