Seriously considering purchasing the Hawker 850XP, however also like the 525A Citation CJ2 which hasn't long been released. I know there are a few issues with both of these regarding true system functionality and minor bugs etc. Anyone out there purchased both of these models and can give me any recommendations? Which one of these handles best, has better system functionality etc? Thanks Ian

Nothing special as I dont have a lot of time lately - just providing this texture you can back up your texture in the texture.4 folder and dump this in reverting back and forth - not going to put together a full package also maybe more variants of color down the line - did not change call sign from original paint - also may look into adding graphics to wing tips - anyone interested just pm - thanks for looking

I have read every thread on this subject and tried every suggestion. The problem is, sometimes I get APPR lock and sometimes I don't following the same procedure each time. I have even done touch and goes and got flight path and glide slope. I have done so by putting the frequency into NAV2. Flying a good intercept course, hit my preset button at which time VOR2 appears in green. Then hit APPR. If it doesn't lock I shut off and restart AP until I get APPR in green at which time I get flight path and glide slope. Now here is the rub. I start and complete another flight and do the same procedure and cannot get APPR to lock. I will get the flight path and the pl…

When flying a course with NAV the Hawker will drop several hundred feet when it makes a sharp turn to the next waypoint. After a lapse in time It will then attempt to rapidly climb to the designated altitude. This becomes a real problem when you are turning onto the final leg for approach. I have given up trying to understand why the LOC and ILS will work one time and then not work the next time following the same procedures. I am using P3D v3. Suggestions? Note; this plane could be very good if the ILS worked consistently and it was stable on these turns. I sure wish we could have a solid dependable business plane. Maybe someday.

I just got my real HS125 type from CAE MMU NJ recently and am now a captain flying the real hawker series 800 ( for now ) but hopefully an 850 in the future - I did use this carenado 850 in my hotel for training etc and impressed other fellow pilots in training with me as well ( shown in a large hotel LCD TV ) ... Good stuff. Peter James

I am not quite sure how FLC mode is supposed to work. I do understand it is not the same as an auto-throttle, but I have been having issues with the plane pitching way up or down when it is enabled in cruise. Is this a bug or am I not using it correctly? I also own the Embraer Phenom 300 from Carenado and I do not have the same issues with that aircraft. The aircraft also fails to hold altitude with FLC mode on.

Wondering how you Guys use atc programs such as Piolt2atc - the question is how do you integrate the flight plan created in Carenado FMS with the created flightplan made by atc program so They are in sync Far as I know you can't import or export anything out of a Carenado aircraft so wondering how I would go about this - thank you

I have Bert's GTN mode. I get a constant RUDDER BIAS light going on in the annunciator panel, in yellow.. I don't know where to check this or turn this off also I get the Elect with an up arrow blinking in yellow as well. What takes care of this? Does the a/p hold alt. good? It seems ok for me until I hit some turb. then it oscillates all over the place. very odd. Seems worse the slower I get and no I'm well about Vref. any tips on flying this bird? I kind of like it, but... it's odd at the same time. It's a handful in turb. landing at KSEZ!

Would someone give me the correct method of conducting an ILS or non precision approach using the GTN 750 intergration? Do I switch the CDI or OBS selector on the bottom of the 750 display and if so, to what and at what point when using the GPS in NAV mode on the autopilot? What about the PFD? Any help with the correct steps in setting up this phase would be appreciated. Thanks.

I must be blind or having a senior moment, but where can I see the fuel state (fuel on board, burn, etc.) on the XP with Bert's GTN 750 mod? I found something in the 750's Utilities, but there must be a way to see it otherwise - maybe a gauge? Thanks.

While in flight there is a sound that sounds like a sliding door opening and closing. It continues to repeat throughout the whole flight. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, have you found a solution or cause? Secondly, just after takeoff the Hawker leans to the right. Again, anyone else experience this? Thanks,

Good midday, I was wondering if there is maybe somewhere a kind of tutorial flight available to get more used to the Hawker. I was very happy about such tutorials for example made by the famous Jens Albert Schenk he made for the 747,Maddog and the DA Fokker 100. That was for me the best way to learn to the fly the 747 and Fokker. Of course the PDf delivered by Carenado are nice but quite basic according to the flight procedure for people coming from Airbus (/ Boeing). Greetings

The Carenado fix does not work for me and I've been trying to get something out of them for a week or so with little success. Has anyone had success on this? Sorry if this is another stupid question about the Hawker navigation. Have a look at the screenshot, it shows a GPS course to 357 and a distance of 2964 NM. Problem is, there is no flight plan active, not in the GTN750, not in Prepar3D. I moved the aircraft to different airports and the distance changed. But I have no clue where it gets the heading from. If it was to be the CRS course how does it know a distance? Any help appreciated. Checked against a new scenario with the Phenom 100. Same. Where is the dst coming from? Only suspicion is the flight plan association of SimLauncherX but why then in a new scenario. Also, the distance to the last airport of the SimLa…

I've been whining about low frame rates and pronounced stuttering with the Hawker. Carenado have been trying to duplicate the problem without success. Today I believe I have isolated the problem. It appears that there may be a conflict between the Hawker and in my case the Carenado S550 Cessna. I uninstalled the Cessna and my frames returned to normal with no more dips to less than 5. Carenado are investigating. Could be other conflicts for those who have reported such low frames.

Hi all: I am seeing what I would refer to as "macro stutters" with the Hawker. When the aircraft loads up cold and dark, the frames are pegged at 30, which I have fixed in FSX. However, as soon as I hit the battery switch and the avionics loads up I begin to see these macro stutters. The frames oscillate around 26-27 but there are frequent dips to less than 5, which has the effect of making the aircraft unflyable. I saw a fix in the Carenado knowledge base and made sure the fix was implemented as suggested, with no impact. Still see the dips. So my question to you is has there been any additional solutions beyond what is in the knowledge base for the frame rate dip? …

Hi all: Well, just took the plunge and installed the Hawker with Bert's mods, which are really slick. One thing I noticed right away is that the ground handling is very nice. Smooth. So I took off from BTV in weather and she handled really nice. I do have 2 quick questions tho: 1. There seems to be some sort of sound in the background noise that I can't identify. It's a cyclical hum that ends in sort of a soft "clunk". It sounds either like a pump or similar to gear being raised. I've checked all the panels and can't find anything running that shouldn.t be like the APU or fuel pumps. A/C is running but I don't see a pump anywhere. Anyone have an idea on this? 2. …
