S550 Citation II for FSX | P3D

    Who has problems when the loc capture on the ILS (like me), goes into the aircraft.cfg in [autopilot] and change the following values nav_proportional_control = 8.000000 //9.000000 nav_integrator_control = 0.300000 //0.250000 I was able to make only single pair test flights (ISG mod keeps me) but it's a lot better. Who still scoring better results may like to join ^_^ Cheers, Janek

    Here is an updated version 2.0 of my GoFlight MCP-Pro, EFIS, Bespokes for use with GoFlight Interface Tool.   5. I much prefer to have the AP mode controller where I can see it, rather than down on the floor. That is one of the reasons I like the B1900 better than the King Airs.     I have done three flight on this bird so far and both times i have been getting the cabin pressure Annunciation warning above about FL310. I have set the dial at 1000 above crz alt. I still get the Warning... Anyone experience this on this A/C? Am I setting it wrong? Thanks....

  8. Hello Gang, I'm not ready to take on a full repaint of one of these chopped up paint files but I have managed to reduce the oversized Reg # off the tail and use a much smaller font. This gives room to add a little matching color at the tip of the vertical stablizer. I also made a couple of custom logos and lettering for the S/II. Not much, but a start. I have the right side of the T-47A just about correct now. I have to do the left side from scratch, no flipping with this one. Regards, Ray

    I was wondering if others are seeing the same thing I am with the weather radar. The weather radar does seem to work. However, it works regardless of the power on setting on the radar control panel. i.e. the radar can be off and it still displays on the EHSI or MFD. Changing the gain has no effect on the radar. You can paint terrain with the radar, but it seems to use the same terrain info that the TAWS uses. i.e. there is no ground clutter just start to pick up the peaks of mountains. Tilt down and no matter it will not paint a valley in mountainous terrain. The radar will only paint weather within a few thousand feet of your altitude. Tilt up to paint a …

    With the AP engaged ALT SEL set at cruise altitude (e.g. FL250) and alt knob set to 250, FMC set up for FL250, I got a controlled 1800 fpm descent to 11000...not sure why...even when I disconnected AP and leveled off...put the new altitude in the alt knob (aka VSI)...and reengaged AP, it wanted to continue the descent...question: does the aircraft follow the default altitudes in the FSX GPS (flight planner) or the altitudes from an add-on flight planner like FSBuild?     I thought this was working before, but in all the confusion over the past few days, maybe it wasn't. I did a flight plan in the GTN 750 as such: CYXC --> ANTAK --> COE --> KSFF (and entered the ILS approach for 22 after the fact). Everything showed fine on the GTN. I took off, engaged the FD, NAV and ALT SEL. The airplane immediately went into a climbing left turn (my departure runway gave me basically a straight out departure) and reversed course. When we were flying northbound it settled on a heading (can't tell you which one - EADI not readable) going away from the course. So I rebooted FSX in case there was a problem there, and redid the flight. Same thing s…

    I just loaded a flight into the FMS one I had made from Simbrief and it went up 1000fpm and down 1000fpm and would not hold altitude at all I hope Carenado fixes this problem otherwise have to put in another FMS system in the jet

    hello everybody i bought the Citation II a few days ago, and must say, i am really happy with it. Unfortunately i do experience a strange Sound Problem. When i open the Speed Brakes during flight, i hear this Special Sound from the Spoilers, but when i retract them, the Sound continues to be played until touchdown, then it stops. If i take off again on the same flight, the Sound starts playing upon taking off again. also, is there a way to silence the gear horn? I can't seem to press that button on the Panel? is there a Keyboard shortcut for it? many thanks Marc

    Let me explain myself, Carenado provides very little information about the C550. How should I know what thrust setting I have to set on climb, descend, cruise? Thats the reason I find myself in overspeed to many times.... How should I know where is everything. How should I know what cabin altitude should I set? Carenado really disappoint about this aircraft. Its nice to fly along with Flight1's GTN 750 but you have to guess how to fly it....

    Well, that was an eye opener. I took off out of CYPR bound for PAGS, 1000 lbs under gross at takeoff. Now I know this isn't a Lear so don't go jumping to conclusions about what's coming. However I have been watching these things on Flight Aware the past couple of weeks and most of them (on flights of over 1 hour) are up in the high 300's and occasionally in the low 400's (flight levels). I made the assumption that the ones in the low 400's are corporate machines that aren't loaded too heavily, so discarded them. Very typically they were FL350 to 390. So off I go, Takeoff was ok and about what I expected in terms of distance (about 3500 ft to clear 50'). The initial climb …

    If you are familiar with air file tweaks it is a matter of changing tables 1503 and 1504 to fix thrust vs IAP (inverse air pressure). Or someone can send me the air file and I can do a quick adjustment and host it. It won't be spot on and might screw with your N1 readings but at least you won't struggle as much to climb. I don't have the plane but tweaking the air file is not too difficult to do, I'll just need someone to test it.

    Hi guys, I guess it is just a simple bug in the aircraft.cfg but the CItation did not recognize by the MS ATC. When I call in for start up/clearance the type of aircraft will not be mentioned like usual. For example: "OE-GBM; type_______, request start up etc etc....normally after "type" the aircraft type will be mentioned but in this case it will be left blank. Maybe there is a mistake in the aircraft.cfg entry ? Thanks for your help in advance! Cheers, Mark

    Good day Avsimmers, So whilst I'm loving this plane, I do find that to make out smaller text, like switch labels and annunciator warnings and things like that, I'm having to zoom in quite a bit to even make the text legible, which isn't right. My viewpoint is fairly normal as it should be from the angle I am at, where I can see out of the window and enough of the panel as necessary. My settings are set quite high, with the resolution at maximum. I've even tried lowering it to high and medium with no effect. The photo is with FXAA off, and turning it on doesn't help at all.     Well, thanks to a good friend, we have a fix for the hot start. You'll need something like AirEd (not sure where you can get that now, and there are alternatives so those in the know maybe can post links for these) to edit the air file. BACK UP YOUR AIR FILE FIRST!! Look for Section 1526 - Turbine ITT. Change the value on the ITT Limit to 1600 (now set at 2200 - equates to something close to Lava!). I saw elsewhere here on the forum that an AME person said the starts should be around 450 to 500 max on the ITT. This will give you about 550. I have done one flight with it and I don't think it negatively affects anything else, although your temps my run a little on the l…
