    I am trying to set the speed for my ascent using the IAS on auto pilot. I hit the IAS button and dial in a speed, let's say 155 but it's all over the place. I'm wondering if it's a bug or if I am doing something wrong. Also, any tricks on turning off the glide slope warning...annoying.

  4. Hi Guys, Does anyone tried to use Flight One GTN750/650 shoot the GPS approach in Citation, I was trying to shoot GPS approach in KFAT, I pre-select GPS(LPV) 29L approach which gonna give me vertical guidance generally but this plane may not work properly,so I disconnect A/P after passing FAF,then I hear Glide Slope Warning when I try to descent as normal, I realize the vertical guidance may work so I landed then tried another approach, active the APP mode after start my initial approach point, this time the VSI started to move back and forth, the plane is totally not stable, plane descent over 1500fp and terrain warning occurs, I have to disconnect A/P manually appr…

    Im on the lookout for a good p3d bizjet and after posting in the general forum some recommended this aircraft. In all honesty ive never really taken carenado that seriously due to the fact that their simulations in the past have not been super accurate. Im not into "lite systems", even the aerosoft airbus is too light for me. And for the price of this airplane I would expect it to be very detailed. After watching some videos and reading the forums it seems this ac has potential after the last two sp's but I still have some questions. 1. How accurate are the systems simulations? (pressurization, fuel, engines, etc.) For example i don't want an aircraft where al…

    I've been doing relatively short and low level (under 30,000 feet) hops around Texas without issue. Today I decided to stretch out the 550 with a high altitude (39000 feet) long distance flight (~1200nm) and noticed that once I was at altitude, a slight wobble became pretty significant the longer I let the AP try to correct it. My only recourse was to disable the AP, stabilize the wobble, then re-activate the AP. Have any of you guys witnessed this before? I had the yaw damper and 1/2 bank enabled (and tried to disable both without any difference in the wobble), so I'm not sure what could have caused it. Thoughts?

    In my first impressions post on another thread, I stated that Frame Rates were looking really good and not an issue. Well that was certainly the case early on, but once again, this became another aircraft (just like the iFly 747) where FPS start off excellent and then, when in clouds and weather, things get stuttery with very uneven FPS (eg... jumping from 9 FPS to 40 FPS). I done some digging, and the cause may be a gauge called "cmeteoxml.dll". (You'll see that the Citation II installation adds in to your dll.xml file). I removed this from the FSX.CFG and then removed it from the dll.xml file. I then launched a flight and I think the MFD's basic WX di…

    The Citation sounds a low, repeating warning beep when Flaps are at 20 and the gear is up. I have looked in every gauge and cannot locate the source of this sound. Anyone have an idea?

    Bert, Thanks you for supplying these mods following my PM request. I'm having trouble getting them to work. I notice that they are in folders and not cab files, I converted them to .cab files and placed them in the gauges folder of FSX, not the Citation folder as your instruction s stated. As I don't have the GTN 750 fitted I didn't replace the enclosed panel .cfg. The problem is when I run the Citation all of the replaced gauges remain black and don't work. Was it necessary for me to covert to .cab files or do they in fact just remain as supplied and go in the Citation panel folder as instructed and do I need to use the supplied panel .cfg even though I don't ha…

    Probably the most stupid question in these posts, for this, I apologize, but can someone tell me where/how the throttles are moved to shutoff, if I move them right back they go into reverse thrust. I have to use crt+shft+F1 to shut them down. I cannot find anything in the documentation provided. steve

  18. I know there are several methods and some with better results, but some developers read the Reg # from the aircraft.cfg file or the reg # from FSX or P3D. This sure would be a nice improvement for our Citation. See example. Regards, Ray

    Can we check if the digital N1 readout is stopping at 99.0% when the gauge it in fact over that. Meaning - if you are in CRZ and the N1 bars are reading about the 106% N1 - Is the digital numeric readout still saying 99.0% ? I remember at some point the readout would go from 99 to 00(100) to 01(101) etc. (No third digit space) Can you guys look on your next flight... thanks

    When I climb and I am close to 30000ft, the speeds drop down slowly to about 150knots. The thrust is at maximum, OAT is -40 and VS is 1500. Is it makes sense? I dont think this should be a climb speed for a jet...

    Off topic slightly, please forgive me. Does anyone know if there is another site that has the Citation for sale. I have tried twice using different cards on the Carenado site (both are debit cards, both Visa with suitable funds) but both are rejected, with no explanation offered. It would be nice if Carenado stepped up to the 21st century and used Paypal. I have been in touch with my usual Flightsim shops and they have told me that Carenado is holding back on this product for some reason and not making it available to them. Still waiting on a reply from Carenado. steve

    If you are using the GTN 750, you may find that the EHSI can indicate VOR1 mode, while the autopilot indicates GPS mode. I find this confusing.. So, to force the two to stay in synch, I've added the following code to an Update section in the EHSIVC gauge. You can put it anywhere where an Update section is active in the panel. <!-- Synch GPS/NAV modes --> (A:GPS DRIVES NAV1,BOOL) if{ (L:EFIS550_Menu_DC1004_MenuNavSrcSel, enum) 0 != if{ 0 (>L:EFIS550_Menu_DC1004_MenuNavSrcSel, enum) } } els{ (L:EFIS550_Menu_DC1004_MenuNavSrcSel, enum) 0 == if{ 1 (>L:EFIS550_Menu_DC1004_MenuNavSrcSel, enum) } }

    Ok so here is the GTN 750 in the MFD screen. I personally think that the 650 would work better in this area but i do not own the 650, but thats ok. I can't get the gauge to make a perfect fit but I figure its better than nothing. press Shift + 1 to bring up the pop up 2d panel. please make sure to make a backup of the original panel folder, and please make sure the F1 GTN 750 is installed properly and the Citation is configured using the F1 utility. Screen shots are included in the panel folder to give you an idea of what it will look like. Simply rename panel.GTN750.mfd to just Panel and put it in your Cessna S550 folder. And thanks ag…
