I have the correct ILS frequency on my NAV radio, but the ILS needles do not come on.

Annunciator panel logic improved

I improved the C550 annunciator panel and some other minor bugs.

-Master Warning will now flash and reset
-Separate LH and RH for each annunciator (like in the C525 CJ2)
-Improved logic in many of them to match with the real aircraft (HYD PRESS ON will display during landing gear, spoiler and reverse operation. ANTI-ICE and DE-ICE now have a timer of 120 and 12 seconds.)
-DH now possible to be set by +- 1 instead of just +- 10
-EHSI corrected some small issues and now able to show HDG and Wind vector together.
-Added a black rectangle with 0.5 transparency to simulate ANUM panel behavior during engine start.

I have the Citation S550 for the P3Dv4 version.

Is it possible to install them into P3Dv5 ?

When I install S550 there is a message that the font type icddof.ttf is missing. From where I can get this font type.

Rex Wx Radar in Center Pedestal (w Bert's Mods)

I hope I haven't asked this before, but has anyone been successful in placing the Rex weather radar in the center pedestal (just below the throttles) where the FMC used to be? I've got Bert's mods for the GTN, which I love, but I would like to put the WXR in that spot where the FMC was.

Help with rotation speeds on Version 2

Hello everyone:

I am enjoying learning this aircraft - I purchased it once I saw that it was at Version 2 and had the F1 GTN integration. I think I have figured out most aspects of normal operation.

However, I am struggling getting this plane to rotate at the proper reference speeds. I have flaps at 20 degrees per what I understand to be SOP, and for example I had a flight just now where I was at about 13900 lbs weight and around 35F ambient temps at Ketchikan - I set N1 at around 99 (I believe that is takeoff power called for in the tables) and she accelerated nicely. However, when I pull on the yoke at 93 knots (which is supposed to be Vr if I am reading things right), nothing happens. It takes another 15-20 knots of speed before the aircraft will finally lift off.

Climb and cruise proceeds as normal, and approach and landing seems straightforward as well. But I am struggling with rotation.

I have checked and the center of gravity appears to be within limits, at least according to the P3D tool. It also does not appear that I have speed brakes deployed or anythng like that. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? Is my takeoff N1 correct (I don't slam the throttles full forward or anything, even though I could push N1 over 100 if I wanted to - my understanding is that is not SOP?)

Any help would be appreciated!

OOM every flight

On my very modest computer I get an OOM with every flight, the only Carenado product of about 20 airplanes that gives me an issue. No other plane in my hangar gives me OOM, including the A2A C172 and Cherokee. Before I give up on it, perhaps someone has a few tips and tricks.

My FPS is locked at 30 and the S550 has been fluctuating between 20 and 30.

i700@ 3.4 ghZ - RAM 16 - GeForce 760 video card.

GTN 750 integration issues

Hi, I installed the C440 into P3D as well as the RealityXP GTN 750 but when I run the exe to activate the GTN, I get the GTN bezel in the panel but the GTN screen is just dark, nothing shows up.

Does someone has a valid panel.cfg file so I can replace the one with my installation? It seems the Carenado installer is not placing it properly.

I can open it as separate 2d panel and it works fine so its something with the VC.

Throttles just not working - can't even start the aircraft!

Hi all,

The 550 sure is a nice aircraft, so nice that I've spent about 4 hours trying to get the thing in the air :'(. The fuel cutoff levers, or throttles, just won't work properly. For example on the last test I did, I got the left throttle to idle and the engine started, but the right throttle wouldn't move at all - even after pressing the 'hook' about 25 times... Sometimes it's the left one that works, sometimes the right, sometimes both. But for most of the time it is impossible to use the aircraft because I can't start both engines. I load the default mooney, shut everything down, load the 550, even this causes problems. I've tried the default fighter jet too, same thing. I've also tried loading the 550 first time and I've tried loading the Mooney and leaving everything on, same thing happens.

So, lets get this airplane flying! I am using P3D V4.5

Any help appreciated!

Glide Slope Warning

Was doing an ILS approach into PANC (Anchorage) and whereas I had picked up the localizer I had yet to capture the glide slope and was coming in below it.

Up until the point where I picked up the GS, I kept getting a "Glide Slope" audible warning repeating over and over. Is there any way to silence this warning as it is pretty annoying.

Traffic warning

Just completed a nice flight into Boeing Field. As I made my ILS approach I got a traffic alert warning.

I could not shut off the alert warning even after deactivating the TCAS.

Even after I landed and started to taxi, the warning continued despite my attempts to shut it off. I'm not sure what triggered it in the first place, but the function is useless if it goes off at any nearby ai traffic (such as boat traffic in Elliott Bay??).

Might there be a solution to this?

Hot Starts

Hi folks,

I just picked up the Citation II this week, so I have the most recent version, but I keep seeing far too many "unfixable" hot starts. Anyone have any solutions for avoiding these? I always park into the wind for better air flow and follow the correct procedures, but there just doesn't seem to be a way to get a cooler start sometimes.

Syncing AP altitude select with Saitek Multi Panel

I have the Saitek Multi Panel MCP and all the funtioncs except for ALT select are working. I can change VS,HDG,CRS but I cannot change AP altitude selection.. this is really wierd. When I am trying to change the altitude assignment it changes but it wont chance anything inside FSX. When I engage ALT SEL mode, I can see my selected altitude on the Multi Panel, but again, I cant change it through it.....

ISG Janek Citation mod for P3Dv4?

ISG have released an update of their FMC package for Prepar3d v4.x. Janek, a developer, who posted in these Forums, instructions on how to integrate this in the CII for FSX and Prepar3D v3.x. I have been unable to find any contact details for Janek and was wondering if anyone could recall how it was done so that it can be implemented in Citation II P3D 64bit. Bert Pieke, a stalwart of these forums also played a major role in these modifications, Bert, if you read this your input would be greatly appreciated. I have been scrolling the original ISG mod posts and cannot see why instructions contained therein could not be used but would value a second opinion. I have installed the ISG to my P3Dv4 root directory (redirecting the FSX installer) and installed the isg1.gau to the gauges folder with no issues, the only issue I can see, may be with the ISG modified image files not being compatible with 64 bit. Anyway at this stage it's only a feasibility exercise but would like to hear from others about rejuvenating this bit improvement for the Citation II navigation.

I can only get my S550 up to 29000 MSL is this correct? I thought this plane can go to 43000.

Is there a trick to get past 30k? ONce past 29k my speed dropped off very quickly so I decended to 29k and I was all good.

odd textures disappearing

When I have the throttles in cutoff mode they all display fine in the VC

but as soon as I start my engines or take the throttles out of cutoff mode the black handle disappears but the other part of the throttle still shows and it still moves and works.

Does anyone know what would be causing this?

Navigraph Extension pack causing major FPS drop!

Hello all, I have been using the Carenado S550 with Navigraph extension pack for several months now but all of a sudden I am getting a major FPS drop when I turn on the avionics switch. It will drop from the mid 30's to below 5-10 and the sim turns into a slideshow with the avionics switch on, if I turn off the avionics FPS jumps back up. Reinstalled both aircraft and navigraph pack with no better results. Without the updated navigraph there are no problems. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Carenado S550 Autopilot

Hi all

I am seeking some general advice and tutoring on the autopilot of the S550. I have installed the GTN 750 into the aircraft. However, I am unsure on the correct usage of the autopilot when it comes to climb and descent.

Is there a knob in the aircraft that allows you to manually select an altitude to hold or climb to? If so, I can't seem to find that.

Similarly, once the flight plan is loaded into the GTN, how do you ensure the aircraft meets all of the altitude constraints and top of descent etc.

Sorry for the long winded post, I just really want to get to grips with this aircraft.

s550 fuel cutoff levers

My procedure: Quick start- see that the fuel cutoff levers are on. After 2-3 minutes of either flight or ground operation, the engines cutoff. I check the fuel cutoff levers and they are off. This has happened many times in flight and on the ground. I know one thing I definitely learned engine out procedures. Anyway it is a glitch that is perplexing.
