S550 Citation II for FSX | P3D

Hi All, I bought the s550 and Navigraph addon and when i turn the FMS on it says LOADING DATA BASE and never changes from that.. Ive sat for 20 mins and it still doesnt change. I can turn it off and back on but it says the same. No other buttons on the FMS respond

Good morning, Just getting back into flight simming after a long absence. Now a dedicated P3dv4 user. I’m trying to figure out how to do the GTN750 integration into the S550. When Carenado has that feature with a specific aircraft, do you select that option when it’s installed? I do understand the 750 is a separate purchase I’m just looking to see how the integration works before I buy. Thank you, Chuck B

Greetings, Recently purchased this aircraft and really like it except for the fact I have spent hours trying to figure out how things work. Making progress though. Can someone please tell me how to change the Nav source when you press the menu button on the MFD? This plane would be an absolutel winner if Carenado would have provided adequate manuals or modeled the systems better. I would gladly have paid more to have that done but weber heard this before. Hi folks, I want to purchase the S550 and I already have the F1 GTN (I'm using P3Dv4). Is there any need or value in purchasing the Navigraph extension if I plan to use the GTN? Thanks in advance! Cheers. -E

The angle of attack gauge works very well in the airplane. The angle of attack indication on the EADI however, is not correct and does not mirror the gauge. I found that Carenado was using a variable that does not exist in the P3Dv4 SDK in the computation. I modified the code and with this mod the EADI AOA indication is corrected. In the gauge files "Gauge_EFIS550_EADIVC.xml" and "Gauge_EFIS550_EADI.xml" find the following entry: "<Script>(A:SIM ON GROUND,bool) if{ 0 } els{ (A:INCIDENCE ALPHA, number) (A:STALL ALPHA, number) / }</Script>" Replace it with this: "<Script>(A:SIM ON GROUND,bool) if{ 0 } els{ (A:Angle of attack indica…

Hello all! Just picked up the 550 a day ago, and I am having an issue holding a steady altitude with the default AP- The aircraft will porpoise +- 500 FPM while trying to hold a set altitude...is this a known issue?

After 2 days I have migrated from V3 to p3dV4 installed and most V4 paywares loaded. On my last 4 attempts to fly point A to B if I change interior views I get slammed to desktop when I cycle to a rear interior view. Usually NO messages but once it said the program had a problem and has to close. Just curious if this is a known issue.

Hello I have recently purchased the S550 Citation II HD and the Navigraph S550 extension pack. The AIRAC cycle that came with the extension pack is very out of date so having contacted Navigraph I now have the latest cycle version 1712 which has been applied. If I now go into the CarenadoNavigraph folder I can see that the data in the sub-folders is version 1712 with an expiry date of 06/12/17 But how can I check if the FMS is using the new AIRAC cycle. When I power on the FMS LSK 1R shows 20-NOV-17 which is the date I installed AIRAC 1712 however LSK 4L shows 20-FEB-18 which I believe should be showing 06-12-17. Nowhere in the FMS can I f…

Hi, When setting the pressure in the In Hg window of the lower altimeter, the second digit always reads zero. E.g., instead of 29.92 it reads 20.92. FYI, I have the S550 Citation II extension pack installed. Apparently this is a bug in the supplied software, since the screen shots on the Carenado page show it as well. I have just purchase the citation and the navigragh data base, love the plane without the navigragh data base however with it install the plane is un-flyable due to the nav data trying to update and causing low frame rates. I let it update and 50min latter it was only 22%. I have contacted Carenardo and got a response that had nothing to do with my issue. Some v-pilots are able to use the both together as I have research my problem, while others like myself are stuck with a program that doesn't work. Any help would be great. Frester.

Hi all..I have the Citation from Carenado. Works a charm but for some reason I cannot click on any of the buttons on the EFIS control panel and the MFD is not on and none of the buttons on the this work or are clickable. Any ideas ? Tks...JB

It happened with both navigraph expansions. Not all stars will be loaded. I tougth it was problem of one them but, i purchased another to the s550 and woala, the same problem. Its frustrating because with sids there are no problems on both of them but the stars, you can see all of them but if select one, the procedure wont be loaded. Any got ideas? any got this problem before how to fix it? i have to try to reinstall, update the airac cycle twice, the databuilder goes succesfully but no luck. In the process of moving to P3D v3. Is the Citation II S550 working in P3D ? Or can we expect an update of this plane for P3D v3?

For those who are using the F1 GTN750 (or 650) integrated into the Citation II's MFD (and as a popup), you may be interested in this rather nice blanking plate, to remove the default Carenado FMC :- Unfortunately, you must own either the Reality XP GNS430 or 530, in order to get this, because the resizeable blanking plate comes with those packages! Hi, I've been flying the S550 lately in the Airhauler2 addon and have noticed that ATC does not give it the ICAO designator in transmissions. Instead of getting "...is type Cessna Citation..." I just get "aero..". or something similar garbled response. Hi everyone,i know this is a silly question but i'd like to know :wich is the correct procedure to intercept the localizer?. I tried almost anythig but nothing. once the glideslope green dot appears but the plane keeps floating above the runway,another time the green dot goes from up to down and the plane keeps floating. is anybody else having this problem. i have an active ticket in with carenado, the first response was turn all virus software off. i uninstalled all my anti-virus software,still the same problem.(407 Error The specified serial # not valid)Waiting for second response from support.Anybody have any information on this issue? please, i need help.

Hey Citation Lovers, I got an email yesterday from Jet Aviva with a pdf and a couple of video links for their S550 offering. Totally new interior, new panel and avionics upgrade for a mere $995,000 asking price. I guess the most significant item in all this is that this is yet more proof that our so-called self-appointed bizjet expert that keeps telling us that older Citations don't have any Garmin equipment. Well, what can I say? This one is really sweet. For those that are waiting for the CJ2 release, it has been pushed back to an early 2016 release. I've got the auto pilot altitude and directional controls working very nicely on this aircraft but can't for the life of me work out how to get the CRS knob to operate. The wheel turns but it makes no adjustment to the flight display Could someone please advise me what I'm missing here. I want to persevere with it because it is a lovely aircraft and a real delight to fly. Many thanks. John PS - What does peeve me is Carenado offered no manual with this quite sophisticated aircraft.
