FS2CREW: MAJESTIC DASH8 Q400

Hi Brian/anyone, LK: Click to 'LOCK' the Main and CFG Panels (to force them to remain open even when FS automatically attempts to close them when you change views). How does this setting work behind the scenes to lock the panels please? I'd like to make another gauge also act like this if possible....? Cheers K

Hello! I bought FS2CREW for the Dash 8 about two days ago. I have two sound options on my OS: Realtek Audio (Speakers) Sennheiser Audio (Headphones) Obviously, I want to have my sim on the speakers and FS2Crew on the headphones. And here is my problem: It only works when I select my headphones as default audio source. When I try it with the Realtek audio, FS2Crew does not recognize what I say and when I press the voice button my sim freezes. So, I could use it but then my P3D sounds are on the headphones as well. I have WIN10, selected US in the speech recognition, followed every troubleshooting step I found in the forums and…

Dear guys, I own the Majestics Dash-8 and FS2CREW for it. Under configuration I found "LINDA". Unfortunately I can not find anything in the manual. Also in the online topics I can find no exact idea what LINDA is. Hence my question- what is LINDA? And secondly, where can I find this information? Must stand somewhere? I have just updated to Ver. 3 of Fs2Crew Voice for Majestic Dash8 and was hoping that the previous time lapse (several seconds) between my voice command and the FO actions would have been fixed. Unfortunately this is not so.I am not saying that this is a fault of the program unless of course many others are experiencing the same problem. It could very well be a fault of my own system. I also have Fs2Crew for PMDG NGX and DO NOT have this lag. In fact the action I ask for is almost instantaneous here. Hi, I use fs2crew on the ngx and as the Majestic has always been that aircraft I struggle with, I thought id buy the FS2CREW make things a little easier. so when I was learning the NGX I used to let the FO do all the switches at the start to start her up without something going wrong. and I used to watch the switches to learn them. but when I try to let fs2crew help me it seems too do not a lot I use the button version, I don't know if the instal is broke or its just designed to do not a lot but it feels like the FO is sat playing candy crush while I am struggling to work out where or what does what any help would be great

Hi, I run P3D V3 in 3840 x 2160 resolution and it*s very hard to see and operate the FS2Crew panel inside the sim. Is there a way to resize so i can leave my magnifying glass in peace hopefully for one more year?

I just got airborne on my first Q400/FS2Crew flight, and had no Aileron authority. I checked the gust lock, and even cycled it a couple of times, still no ailerons. I checked FSUIPC, and it was picking up my yoke movements. I checked the Q400 control panel, and it was showing my Aileron control movements, but in the sim my yoke was dead. Switching on Autopilot allowed the virtual yoke to move, so it doesn't seem to be gust lock related. Thanks for any help in advance

Updated q400 to 3.3 same problem as when originally purchased. enable fs2 crew in config mgr. says not found in fsx folder when in fact it is in steam. originally u went into my computer and fixed. any better way that I can fix??

Dear Mr York: I have recently returned to FS2Crew to add to my enjoyment in flying the Majestic Q400 - a very demanding add-on indeed, and at the moment my favourite. I have purchased, installed and enabled the 64bit voice and button control bundle. My concern is that the manual is grounded in FSX and XP, so it is very hard to match the instructions to the P4 interfaces and Win 10 and it would seem even harder to make the installation actually function. I purchased FS2Crew for the q400 (p3d4) yesterday and installed and opened the main panel. I pressed a few buttons. I heard the pilots speaking. I heard the audio test ok. I didn’t have time to do any more yesterday and had no idea what to do. Today I opened the main panel again after reading the PDF manual to understand how to use this software. And began setting up as described and follow tutorial. But now I don’t hear the pilots voices anymore. Audio test produces no sound. Where I can I find the change to see what revisions have been made since 3.1?

Going through the checklist this one has always confused me. Looking at the MFD Electrical display I can find APU GEN Load, but not voltage. The only voltage I can find is DC BUS and there are multiple values listed there. When I respond to "EXT PWR/APU voltage" what value goes in ON/CHECKED XX VOLTS? I realize any value works, but would like use the correct one. Thanks..

Purchased Fs2Crew 64 bit and running into all kinds of issues. first one is mic is not working - not an issue with my headset mic (Logitech H540) as it works well in Vatsim. When I speak no green text bar shows which would confirm it is hearing me. I have the mic set to the proper default as well. Second issue is since I've installed it I can't exit P3D - X out and it just hangs... Eventually have to go to task manager and exit that way. I've uninstalled and re-installed it twice but get same 2 issues. I've used Fs2Crew in the past and never had any issues so this is new to me... Please let me know - thanks Mike

Greetings, After nearly a year I've managed to get back into the cockpit and have fired up the Q400 and FS2Crew. However I'm having some sound issues that are causing some serious frustration. 1. When I start FS2Crew I everything seems to fire up just fine. Voice and DSP are good to go. When I do an audio check I get a fine response from a 2 speaker setup using left and right. (No HS is selected from the main menu) 2. After I select PF I ensure the comms are set to PA, speaker is turned up and the volume bar is green. Then I select the PA. 3. When I get down to +3 I can't hear any of the attendant PA. When selecting the "Welcome" from the PA menu the panel…

I have a problem that for a number of add-on planes (FS2crew panel for q400, A2A comanche & connie, Manfred Jahns c-47) if I save a flight with a 2D panel open and then exit P3D and then reload the save any 2D panels that were open end up tiny. So tiny that they can barely be seen. Here are 2 images, the first before exiting and the 2nd after exiting and then re-loading a save. Any ideas on how to fix? image 1 image 2

I had the impression that I never heard the TCAS system test OK sound during the FO’s originating flow so during my last three originating flights I stopped my own work to observe my FO and indeed while I do see him do things like the anti skid and WX radar test he never performs the TCAS test. Anyone else notice this?

Hi Can some one help me sort out how to get FS2Voice for Dash8 to show in the aircraft. tried to work it all out reading the manual, no further forward.

Just bought the FSX 32 bits version. I can’t get the panels to show. My own trouble-shooting: - NGX reboot still works fine - Did a complete uninstall and reinstall of the aircraft, v1.020. - Did a second download and reinstall, with my virus scanner off - Obviously I did enable in the Config manager - The ini does contain the FS2Crew lines - The gau.file is installed in the right directory as mentioned in the ini file - The panels can be selected in the Views > Instrument panel menu but will only show up as black squares - I ran the installer, the Config manager and FSX as administrator From reading others posts my conclusi…

Hi all, I'm using FS2CREW for 737 and 777 in P3Dv4.1 with no issue. I just buyed the 64 bit Dash version and installed with admin rights and got the "invalid XGS path" popup that crashes the sim after clicking ok. Uninstalled, cleaned, re-installed, same issue... I just picked up the Q400 and fs2crew last week so im learning both systems, but i was expecting a little more automation from the FO as compared to the 737/777 versions. I notice this more in the before/after start checklists where the FO goes through the checklist items but im expected to perform the actions. The FO in the PMDG versions seems to do more of the tedious stuff.

Hi. I have download the new 3.2 update but in the Config Manager it says version 3.1 I've allready uninstall it and then install and it says 3.1 instead of 3.2......what's happening?

I have quite a few aircraft and scenery areas that still haven't been updated to P3D v4 and I'm certain that puts a group of us in a hard position. I'm still using P3D v3.4 up until my new machine is built after Christmas and remaining developers update their addon catalogues. Is there really no way to offer some kind of upgrade option from P3D 3.4 to P3D 4? Or perhaps a collection offering that covers all simulator versions? It sucks having to wait until I'm ready to switch to P3D v4 so I can purchase FS2Crew for the Dash8 Q400...
