FS2CREW: MAJESTIC DASH8 Q400

The FS2Crew manual refers to "Brendan Ratchford's excellent tutorial". Where can I find the tutorial??? It's not in the FS2Crew site, nor in any of the files that were installed. Thanks!!

I am having a couple of issues that maybe some could help me wth: 1. After Start Checklist item "External Power/APU" OFF....I have the GPU disconnect and APU turned off but get a reply of "are you sure". 2. PNF does not state "glideslope alive" during ILS approach. any help is appreciated Bruce

Hello all, has anyone gotten the Q400 to fly smoothly with the latest P3D (v2.x)? I still get the dreaded stutters and cannot get rid of them (I can live with the spike/bridges issue as I understand that Majestic is working on it). Majestic had me modify the following to the mjc84.ini: [sYSTEM] ;disableFDEtoFSXSync=1 TimingSource=1 They also told me to try different affinity masks but nothing seems to wok, Since LM suggests to try the default airplane.cfg with 2.3, I'd like to see if the Q400 will like it as is If you have specifically done something that works, please share? THANKS!

Would it be possible to add feature to skip checklist completely? E.g. When training for landing, I do slew aircraft to/before finals.

I have a Danish computer, and my voicerecognition on my W7 Ultimate ain't even present.. And all the forum explanations have been to complicated for me.. I haven't been able to do anything that works for voice recognition.. So I stick to button until the tech is straight forward. Does the Button version come.. On page 32 of the Majestic Software Q400 Delivery Tutorial, it shows the FMS fuel page at the bottom on this page 32. But all the fuel line select keys are ignored on this page. What is the relationship of these fuel numbers to the Control Panel takeoff fuel and trip fuel numbers? Thanks...

I've been using FS2CREW for the PMDG B737 NGX for some time now and love it. The only issue is the conflict it has with GSX (FSDreamTeam). Naturally I was excited that FS2CREW had a product for my newly purchased Majestic Dash8-Q400. However, compared to the PMDG 737 version, this is a very disappointing product. The voice commands for below the line or at the line are difficult. Most of the commands are not executed and I have to manually do them myself, which is rather difficult while trying to fly the plane, respond to ATC on Vatsim, etc. Without some serious revisions to voice control, I would recommend you hold off on this product and do it yourself.

I have spent over 10 hours trying to start the engines on this air frat. What is the secret ?

They have been testing the Beta since October and loads of imagesposted on their facebook page and there are few QA's as well. My guess is sometime this March. So, are You excited? this community needs more turboprops I'm telling You :rolleyes: ... peace! Cheers

I've just started to get into using FS2Crew for the Q400, and so far I'm very impressed. However, I do have one puzzling issue that's specific to my headset setup. I have an Astro A50, which allows two separate audio channels - one is purely audio output over an optical cable, and the other is both audio output and input over USB. On the headphones themselves, in addition to a volume dial, I have a balance paddle switch that allows one channel volume to be raised or lowered in comparison to the other. The setup works excellent with default FSX; I set the sounds to the optical output, and the voice to the USB. Both work, and it allows me to balance ATC against e…

Brian: Know your super busy with the 777. But..if you ever have a free moment, would you please, on your next upgrade, program exit 4 (left rear door) to open to support FSX ground services. The MS shift E 1,2,3,4 CMDs do not work for Majestic Dash 8 aircraft. Lots of us Dash 8 drivers would be very grateful, and making your product even more valuable!!!!!

Howdy folks, My first FS2Crew purchase was the ATR-72 for FS9. It was awesome. Since the ATR didn't translate well to FSX I moved on to the DASH-8. So today I saw that FS2Crew for the DASH-8 is available. Purchased it first thing, updated my patch, enable VRT and ready to go. My first impression was with the documentation. Not excatly up to par as the ATR-72 was. I find it a tad confusing as well. I don't have much time in the DASH-8 so here are some questions; 1. I'm not getting the flow of this application. If I needed to get this bird up and running what documents/checklists do I need to compliment the DASH-8 and FS2Crew? 2. Is there some minimum do…

I don't understand this checklist. It's asking for #3 Hyd pressure before the engine is started. Before engine start, the pressure is zero. Seems like this check should be in the after start checklist. Can someone illuminate me??

I just bought Fs2Crew for Majestic Dash 8 Q400. I have installed the Q400 in P3D. AFTER buying FS2Crew I realized that it could NOT find the Q400 as it is NOT in the FSX directory. Is there ANY way around this problem?

can anyone help me? currently my majestic q400 banks and turns left when ever taxiing, taking off, and basically anytime inflight. is there a away i can fix that in my aircraft config

In the manual, it has a flight that you can do for practice,CYZD to CYUL. When in the FMS, doing the flight plan, the way points are suppose to show, but they don't. Has anyone else have this problem?

I have noticed in some You Tube Videos that you can bring up a check list on the FSX Screen. How is that done. My Second question is it says you can open all doors by using Shift + E + 1,2,3,4, but it doesn't work for me. I checked FSX > Controls / Keys and there's only one option for one door. I couldn't find anything in FSUIPC.relating to doors. Thanks in advance.
