FS2CREW: MAJESTIC DASH8 Q400

Hello, Just wanted to know if fs2crew works with the Q400 training edition without problems !? I would like to switch from the 'Pro' to the 'Training' edition... Does anyone have experience with it ? regards ggerolamo

After installing the FS2Crew Majestic Dash P3D v5 package I have to add the US language pack to Windows 10 Unfortunately my German keyboard layout changes to the US style. Is it possible to use the QWERTZ keyboard?

HI. I want to open the PA Panel but it won't. I turn the Selector Knob to PA und push the PA Button but it won't open. On the FS2Crew Panel i have a red FAIL but my DVD Version is 1.016

I had fs2crew working ok with this plane but after a reinstall of the majestic dash8 and reinstall of fs2crew I press the key for main fs2crew to open in the sim, p3d crashes to desktop. Paul

Hi there! I purchased FS2Crew a few months ago, getting a lot of good use out of it for sure. Overall I'm quite happy and think it's well-done for what it is. However one thing that I've noticed is that my FO can be quite a character when it comes to turning in headings or altitudes. Thankfully you took the precaution for this with the "Cancel Last Command" line but to be quite honest, the guy messes those actions up much, much more than he gets it right in my cockpit. Hi all, I've logged over 65 flights with the Dash 8 and FS2crew and have never experienced this before! Whilst boarding the flight attendant constantly keeps repeating "HELLO!" then during taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, landing etc. It is incredibly annoying and really really strange. Sometimes it's spaced apart, other times it could be 3 times in a row. Also once we start the climb, the first officer constantly keeps repeating "One to go" over and over again, doesn't matter if we are at level altitude or climbing, descending etc. It's actually starting to drive me nuts 🤣 between the first officer and the flight attendant I…

Is there any way to increase the size of the onscreen control FS2Crew widget in 4k for the Dash8? Works just fine for all of your other products. Too small for old eyes even with glasses.

I have the q400 installed in a p5 addon directory. Works just fine. Do I need to move it back to the regular main P3DV5 directory to make Fs2Crew work, or is there a registry hack?

Goodday, Just a FYI post. Majestic Software just released an update to make their Q400 compatible with Prepar3D v5! Not putting any pressure on the team, but eager to see fs2crew updated 😄

Would it be possible to add a single engine taxi option into fs2 crew? I tried doing it but PM didn't seem to acknowledge the start engine 1 command during taxi, I know this option is in some of your other products that I have. Thanks

There is a small a problem with using FS2Crew Q400 with GSX. When one requests passengers boarding with GSX, instead of passengers the flight crew boards first. This is not very realistic since the crew is already on the plane in the FS2Crew world. I asked at the GSX forum how to disable crew boarding so only the passengers would board and the GSX dev said only developers can implement this in their products. Since all FS2Crew products work in a way that the crew is on board way before passengers I'm wondering if you're aware of this issue? Is it possible for you to implement this feature? If yes, why wasn't it implemented yet, if no, what's the problem?

If I want to make a PA (like Welcome, TOD, ...) I have to turn the knob to PA and press PA button. When I'm finished with one of the PA's, I press PA button but don't turn the knob. Next time when I want to make PA I have to turn the knob to something else, than back to PA and press the PA button. Is this normal procedure? My question would be why is not enough to just press the PA button on the radio, why also the knob turning every time?

Is there maybe a nicer voice control checklist out there? The one in the manual is very bare bones and there's a lot of white space on some pages so it's not very printer friendly. Did anybody make a better looking checklist?

I have my Q400 installed with XML and not the in the P3D folder. When I shall install FS2Crew it can´t find my installed Q400 and the installation stops. Must I have the aircraft installed in P3D or is it possible to use the XML metod. /Thomas

Just notifying users that if your "Check Power" call in Button Control is inop... or the "Rotate" call doesn't play, it's something to do with EZDOK and however they're interfacing with the Majestic Dash 8. Hopefully we can figure out what EZDOK has done. Cheers,

Just wondering, will the Dash-8 also get a modernised interface and the more flexible speech recognition in future, like the 737 NGXu , 747 and FSLabs ? Might be interesting for the future anyway, with the Q300 in the works at Majesticsoftware. If that should happen, could you get rid of the annoying background sound or make it much quieter or even better, configurable ? It really gets repetitive during 20 min preflight and I always get the impression I have a hyperactive child sitting beside me, permanently busy with crinkling paper. Fortunately this is not present in the newer FSCrew products.

Hi Bryan, I have an extremely weird problem with the Dash-8 Voice control Version 3.3. This afternoon I did a normal flight with FS2Crew, everything went fine and all was normal. But in the middle of the flight I had to quickly stop unexpectedly, so I shutdown the PC in the middle of the flight. Now in the evening I tried to repeat the flight. But I don't hear the Copilot voice anymore. Audio test fails as well, no sound. I noticed when I click the CFG button, it comes up with "HS:No such device" and I have to actively set it to the correct one. That was not the case before. All other sounds are working, so I hear the typical copilot background noise and I also…

I purchased the global voice pack expansion back when I had the 32 version of FS2crew for the Q400 and I am wondering if this pack is still compatible with the new 64bit version. The only options are FSX and P3D versions 1-3.

My sight regrettably is dimming with age. My eyes are well assisted but it still doesn't prevent small detail being hard to read. How would I go about resizing the panel, to about twice its present vertical dimension?

I just bought the 64 bit version for the Q400. Downloaded and ran as admin, but shows 12% with no green progress bar. Task manager says not responding. appreciate help thanks.

Hello everyone, I I'm sure it's for a very stupid reason, but sometimes on approaches I can't get the Before Landing Checklist command to activate. I haven't figured out what I do differently that makes it sometimes work and others not. I ask for flaps 5, when established I call for gear down, wait for the gear to lock and then give the command Flaps 15, before landing checklist. the FO acknowledges the flaps 15 command and activates it but then he says "landing gear",like if he was reminding me that the landing gear is not set yet so he can't do the checklist, even though it's down, locked and 3 greens. I have pretty much everything figured out except I can't seem to get FO to set MTOP. I have it set in brief and and say it in the after start check list. Also if I click on it in the panel in resets back to NTOP. I don't use it all the time ,just when I'm at shorter runway. Thanks for help.

Right now IM not getting any sounds from FS2Crew I have a monitor with speakers and a headset. Both are configured and test correctly in Win10 The headset mic is configured and tests correctly in win10 Both the headset and mic work correctly when selected using VoxATC FS2Crew main panel shows correctly that I have the monitor and headset sound devices Under no combination of selected sound device (with or without HS on) do I get anything FROM FS2Crew With DSP set to ON, the green bar shows that it is receiving my voice commands correctly.
