FS2CREW: MAJESTIC DASH8 Q400

Hi guys, first of all thamk you for the nice programm. I bought and installed the fs2crew today. Setup and config was going very well. Now the issues after 2 flights testing. I asigned a key to start and stop the addon, no other action was asigned with this key. The start is going very well but I can't stop the addon. If I press the key (,) the window is just flickering. Nothing else. Next is the after landing cheklist, At some points e.g. PTU Pumps I said OFF the FO said checked, thats it, then the programm stucks, I said off again FO said checked again, this is in a loop up to I say SKIP. I just installed the newest beta for Majestic Q400 and now I don't see the FS 2 Crew in the cockpit view. How can I fix that? Do I have to reinstall FS 2 Crew? Disregard, got it going. I had a backup of the panel file for the Q400 and when I replaced the panel file after the install of the Q400 beta, everything it working again.

Hello, I have just started flying the Majestic Q400 but am having some severe sound problems when trying to use FS2Crew. Whenever I try and carry out the Audio Test I either hear nothing with the words "CHECK VOL" appearing in the window or I hear the test intermittently with the words swapping between "CHECK VOL" and "AUDIO TEST". I been through the entire troubleshooting section of the manual and can confirm that all is set as it should be. I've tried using both the Asus Xonar DGX sound card and the Motherboard on board sound and get the same results with either. Also if I try and run any of the briefings I again get either nothing or intermittent sound. …

I bought FS2crew for the Majestic but when the Main panel is activated, no voice commands work. I only get the fail in red. I have version 1.009. Any help appreciated.

Greetings, I have bad hearing and rely heavily upon Closed Captions and Sub-titles in daily life. I'm beginning to enjoy FS2Crew/DASH8 but have problems understanding the copilot speech. There are times when I have to take out my hearing aids since the extra pressure from the head set can cause a lot of discomfort, which adds to the difficulty. Is there any way to view what the copilot is saying? Thanks, -Matt

Greetings, I'm having a hell of a time getting "Off" reconginzed. Nothing I do seems to help. "On" was just as bad but "hone" really helped me there. I've done the speech thing a gazillion times and still will not work. Please don't ask me to do it again. I'll just fall on the ground clutching my chest. I was curious about your products and finally bought NGX and 777 but would like to buy Dash 8. Seeing that I bought NGX this year I know I will get a discount on the reboot version so can you extend this 25% off so I can purchase Dash 8.

Hi! Im not really sure if i have a problem or not. But when i open the control panel the flight config, system and weight & balance works fine. But when im going to flight controls and engine controls the windows keeps flashing and its really annoying to look at. Why? And am i suppose to move my yoke, throttle or whatever and get a response in the panel? Because im getting none.. i can only change the values manually. This is on P3D by the way, and its running while accessing the CP.

The FS2 Crew FO announces "acceleration" when passing the 1,000 foot mark when you set the 1,000 feet on the MDL. I noticed the last couple of takeoffs that I did from high altitude airports that I didn't get the acceleration callout. I then checked the Q400 user manual and found out that the MDL is not using radar above ground altitude, but is using pressure altitude, so you have to set that at 1,000 feet above the altitude at the takeoff runway. So if the takeoff runway is 2350 feet, you would set MDL at 3350 ft to get the callout at 1,000 ft AGL.

Hi, This might be more of a question of flow than a product issue, but if I'm doing a flaps 35 landing, the flaps sequencing has me a bit confused. As per the manual, I initiate the before landing checklist using the phrase "Flaps 15, Before Landing Checklist Please", flaps come down to (surprise surprise) 15 degrees, but then the checklist rattles through to "Flaps" and the response "Indicating XX, Planned XX". At this point I would expect to be confirming 35 degree flaps, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere in this flow for me to request flaps 35, other than doing it myself. So my question is simply where am I supposed to do it? Do I ask for flaps 35 a…

Thinking about getting FS2Crew but I have Pro ATC with AI chatter, and wonder if FS2 interferes with Pro ATC at all?

On the Below the lone checklist there is an item for the PF that says Ref Speeds Switch/bugs and the reply is supposed to be " As Req'd / set -Cr [ off set/ increase set] From this point on I can't get the PM to lower the flaps when I ask for flaps 5, so I am thinking that I am not giving the correct response to this item. Exactly what am I supposed to say or do

I am having success programming the flight plan into the FMS, the waypoints display and change color as I pass over them, etc. But ATC is using the flight plan that is in FSX, not the FMS. Do I have to also manually create another flight plan in FSX in order to have ATC give the proper directions?

I have been holding buying this, I purchase the other day and I must say WOW. This is a great product as it requires a lot of work from the captain. Thanks again it has a high learning curve but well worth it.

FS2CREW for Majestic Q400 seem to be working fine. VM panel appears but when I click on the area to the left of the Chocks In button, the video window does not appear. Any suggestions? Barry

Hi, If I ask FS2Crew command a heading of 360, I end up flying north. All is well and good. Unfortunately if I have a momentary lapse and ask for the equivalent heading of 000, I end up in a seemingly infinite loop of the co-pilot turning the heading bug round continually, slowing as it gets to 350 speeding up as it gets past 360. Is there any chance this can be fixed at some point? It's about the only thing that is a regular gotcha me, other than Windows speech recognition's complete inability to recognize me saying the word "On"! Otherwise, top job Cheers, Jamie

I can hear the cockpit sounds clearly. External views don't render the true loud engine sounds , they are very faint. I've gone over this sound problem with the Majestic people and they point to EZDOC as the problem. I've re-installed both the EZDOC and the Majestic Dash-8 , but with no luck. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this camera problem resolved? thanks

Hello, I have a question concerning TA and TL - it's something for me that is missing in case of fs2crew dedicated to DH8D. I know that for example in case of NGX both TA and TL can be entered to FMC and thus fs2crew has the possibility to import such data and inform about crossing TA or TL. In case of DH8D by Majestic such information cannot be entered anywhere, but maybe it's possible to enter such information to fs2crew control panel thanks to which the message about TA / TL can be generated. Is it possible? If not, is it a chance that you will consider to add such solution in next updated or patch? Regards, Marcin

Hello, Since I've got no rudder pedals, I've disabled YAW_DUE_TO_PROPWASH setting (value 0.0). This helped only partially - aircraft doesn't bank to left anymore, however it banks to the right during takeoff. Do you know what could be the problem? Regards, Jacek.

Is there a way to change the load times? For example I think once you hit the button I starts the 30 min timer, FA ask if to load at 25 mins etc. Is there a way to modify these times? Thanks

Just before landing, the Dash 8 gives a repeated warning, every time, "too low flaps". As I have flaps of 15 or 35 set & am on glide slope at the correct landing speed, I am puzzled by this warning. Is it normal, or am I doing something wrong re configuration etc ? Any assistance will be appreciated. Tony Merry

Hi all! Yesterday, I was coming into Montreal from Toronto City Centre and as I was going through the before landing checklist, the PNF (FS2crew) failed to bring the fuel levers to MAX. I then tried to bring the fuel levers to MAX, without avail. They wouldn't move. Is this a known bug? is there a reason why he didn't moved the fuel levers to MAX? Thanks!
