FS2CREW: MAJESTIC DASH8 Q400

Hi all, yes it's strange. My Q400 is all bright and shiny also with FS2Crew until i skip the 24 hrs checks with the arrows in the main panel. The sound in the Q400 is then gone but not all of it (yeah strange) - the sound in the background is still there. Sound in the Background? Mh how to describe that... The sound when P3D is not focused. Everything else works fine. How can this be?

Hello! Q1: Is it the PIC or FO's responsibility to put the radar on? Before TO, the FO says "radar on both sides" when they are still on stby... Q2: Same with the LG pins, where the FO says on the checklist he says "stowed", when they are not. Thanks!

Can someone enlighten me on how to conduct two tests in the 24 hour checklist: the Autofeather test, and the Trims test? Also where can I find information on to do the Ice Protection CHECK LEVEL ONE; CHECK LEVEL TWO checks, as found in the After Start Checklist? As always appreciate the help!

Having looked at various tutorials on FMS operation, I can't see anyway of loading a flight plan, created elsewhere (eg EFASS, PLAN_G etc), into the FMS, only by manually keying each waypoint. Is there no way to import a flight plan created elsewhere? Thanks, Stuart

I have read through manual and various checklists, but I miss ti find anything about who an when to set the GPWS Flap switch. It doesn´t seem that the FO sets the GPWS Flaps switch he simply reads actually position. This is with using button control !

I see how to adjust volume of FS2Crew but I can not get the sound into my headset. I tried using the config button on the main panel and using the arrow buttons to locate my headset from the list but all the sounds still play on my speaker. Any advice?

FYI for those interested who may not have heard, the P3Dv4 version of this wonderful bird is in closed testing, and soon to be in beta for a HOPEFUL projected release date of October 23rd. I don't know about any of you, but I am anxious to get this bird back in the air again :) Here's to hoping that an updated FS2Crew follows soon afterward :)

I bought the special bundle pack at sim market during the sale. So far I have run as admin and disabled AV but no joy ,its not showing up in the instrument panel drop down with FSX-SE and a search of the panel.cfg shows its not there either Any ideas?

Hi, Starting again with FS2CREW Q400 on my new computer, the FO voice is quite low compared to the Q400 ambiant sounds. I have difficulty to hear the FO well. How can I increase FO sound volume? I already set "voice " setting to max in FSX UI but it seems it does change nothing. Thanks for help, Pierre

Whenever I load the Dash into FSX and then start the FSCrew panel via the selected keyboard option the mouse has a blue flashing circle around it(same as when waiting for FSX to load/.The mouse still seems to function but is clearly not right to have this.If I close FSCrew then the 'blue mouse' remains until FSX close and reopen. I bought the programme from Just Flight so I am not able to update to see if the new version is of help.

Hi everybody: My fs2crew for Majestic S Dash8 is saying that a new update is available every time I start it. As I bought it through aerosoft, I cannot updated it directly through FS2crew web page. It say that I have to wait until the third party vendor send me the notice. Has been passed three weeks and aerosoft didn´t send me nothing. Is there any way to update it via another path? Thanks for your help

Something I noticed and am wandering about is the call to the flight attendants at TOD. If I use the TOD announcement by the pilot to the passengers, at the end he says " flight attendants please prepare the cabin for landing". Now when I run the descent checklist, part of the flow of the PNF includes the same announcement to the flight attendants. Is his message over the passenger PA also or is it direct to only the attendants via interphone? Thanks Steve

Hello! I'm using SPAD.neXt to use my Saitek devices (and more) with P3D. It works well with Q400 ... except if I'm using FS2CREW: LVARS controlled / asssigned by my Saitek devices go mad and Saitek devices show erratic and/or random values. Any idea?

i like to startup fs2crew for the dash8 mjc pilot after not using it for sometime. opening the config manager , click on enablecfs2crew. a popup apears saying fs2crew disabled version spoecial bundle pack v3.0\ fsx gold w7 ultimate 64 Order #5XXX

Hi I've got two questions: 1. I currently have Condition levers assigned to Saitek Throttle levers (2 outer ones) - should I disable them completely to ensure they dont interfere with FS2Crew and in case of starting engine when there is no pushback simply use mouse? Otherwise I think it's always FO setting cond levers? 2. How does FS2Crew integrate with in flight Q400 announcements? Suddenly music started to play in my Q400 and I can't turn it off at all (I'm already in flight) Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to use FS2Crew Special Bundle Pack V3.0 with the Majestic Dash8 Q400 v3.4918400. But I cannot get to open the main panel. I have followed all the advices in the troubleshooting part of the manual, but when I try to assign AUTOFEATHER (ARM/OFF) in a key or a button of the joystick with FSUIPC, it does not open the main panel, it does turn on\off autofeather.... Hi, I have just installed fs2crew for the dash and I'm using the button version. I've made three flights and always had the same problem: - Before 80knots, the FO calls v1 and rotate - Immediately after lifting off, the FO calls acceleration altitutde (way below 1000ft AGL). I made double sure that the correct V-Speeds and MDAs are set in both PFDs. Anybody know what could be wrong? Thanks Adrian

Hi, Any chance of adding the AU voice pack to the Q400, Qantas is one of the worlds largest operators of the Dash, I just doesn't seem realistic flying around Australia with the EU, UK, US voice sets available. (perhaps you could carrying them over from the 737ngx or B777) Steve S

I am slowly being driven mad by an FO that says "1000 to go ALT SEL" every 5 seconds for the entire flight. The PFD shows ALT and ALT SEL (in white) even though I am level and I somehow thought that it should show ALT in a green box. Any ideas how I can fix? Please note that I am using the MCPII with LINDA and although LINDA has been fixed to stop voice from cutting out this "may" play a part. thanks,

hi. i have the q400 PRO about 8 mounds now and i did not have bin flying for a mound or so and found out that when i started again to fly , i had DUST al over the instruments and i like it clean .because its eye candy when so clean... but now every where dust . so how can i remove / reset it to have a clean cockpoit again ? queston 2: my WXR weather stops working TERR works oke and when it is still working before shutting down, clouds looks like big blocks and holes through it. seems like very low resolution while all settings in the control panel are HIGH and FAST I have downloade the latest patch from majestic site but still the same and now have an …

The problem is someone from the crew says "hello", without been asked, and I don't know what I have answer. What I have to do?.
