B1900D HD Series FSX | P3D

    Hello all, I have been enjoying flying the B1900D but so far I have only navigated using the GPS. Am now getting stuck into the FMS. I have run into a problem in when, in flight, I want to add an approach to a FP [ie RWY, STAR, transition etc]. Menu/VNAV asks me to select an APPR. But the list of approaches is 'empty'. I am flying to EGKK which has loads of approaches and my Navigraph data is up to date. Can anyone advise please what silly thing I have missed ? Thanks, Mike Ody

    Is anyone working on a tutorial flight on youtube for this. I have been playing around with it for 2 weeks and can't figure it out. This is my first prop plane so that may have something to do it with.

    I recently purchased the B1900D and on my first flight I did nothing but porpoise the whole time, so I decided to give some of the videos out there a try and am going through their checklist and when I get to the GNS530 I can't see anything when I try and turn it on. I've poked around and couldn't find an answer that worked. All I get is a black screen. I ran the install applications that were in the B1900D folder and still cannot see the GNS530. Any suggestions? Running Windows 10 FSX steam edition. Randy

    There is obviously no such guide included by Carenado which I believe is a serious oversight. Does anyone know of a comprehensive manual for this plane from another vendor? Thanks in advance.

    Are there any user manuals for this aircraft? I looked in the directory folder but there is nothing there. I emailed support and they told me that they cannot support my request because I'm using FSX steam. Although the plane is compatible with FSX and its the same one that I purchased so the question at hand should be supported. Where are the manuals located for this aircraft in any version that it works on?

    Does anyone have a panel fix for this airplane that includes a standby attitude indicator? It's suppose to be a commuter aircraft, and at least in my country, the airplane cannot he flown with more than 9 seats without it. I know this is flight Sim, but it is grinding a bit on my OCD problem :/

    As the title says, I am not able to steer the a/c after T/D and roll-out. So I can't leave the RW :-( Don't know what I am doing wrong. After an AP managed approach (Localizer amd Glideslope were active) I turn off AP at 200 feet AGL. Landing the a/c, breaks, reverse power, etc I roll out. But I cannot steer the aircraft. What do I miss? Cheers

    Hi Guys, Maybe someone could help me out....? I have never had an issue with her before but now! I have not flown her for a little while and now when I do, not long after take off -climbing- I get very violent shaking of the whole aircraft???? No matter what I do I can not stop it? I get no warning lights or anything that may help me to determine the issue? Any tips please? Of coarse flaps are up and gear has been retracted. Like I say...everything is looking fine but just get these violent shakes???? I am at such a lost and its doing my head in!! I have tried my other Carenado King Air's but they are fine. Kind regards.     Hi Folks. I think there may be something wrong with my B1900D that I fly in P3D. IT seems to laterally rock side to side, even to steep bank angles of 60 degrees sometimes. The wind for example at 7000' may only be 2-5 knots yet this lateral instability still occurs as though I was flying in the middle of a serious thunderstorm. Does anybody know what is causing this please? Is there anything in the aircrafty.cfg that can be 'tweeked' to make the roll and yaw more stable? Thanks guys. John

    Hi All, is there a way to silence the gear horn? There's a button on the side of the throttle and the mouse turns to a "clicker" hand over it but nothing happens when clicking it. It's rather annoying when flying vfr cutting throttles to get a better rate of descent. There's also a switch lower right of pilot panel but this also seems to have no function... and yes I know I could always drop the gear.

    Hi Guys, I'm at work and planning a flight from KBFI Boeing Field to Friday Harbour KFHR; alas I don't have my docs from home. So seeing if anyone is quick on the ball Friday Harbour Rwy length is 3,402' with 0.8% upslope (can't remember if the takeoff charts detail that) assume ISA. Apt Elev 113'. I found online basic OP weight with 2 crew of 10,685 and simbrief giving me IFR block fuel of 2,450 lbs. So using 13,135 lbs and the above rwy, how much weight can I load? Thanks! :Big Grin:

    I find the FDE very unrealistic. Too sensitive on all axis. Has anyone worked on an updated FDE? Also the auto pilot cannot track a VOR and LOC well either.

    The checklist I have (it's for the Aeroworx King Air 200, as I can't seem to find my B1900 checklist) has mentions of putting the condition levers into low idle during the start procedures etc. It doesn't have anything about putting them to high idle for t/o or landing... is this correct use of them? I've read that MSFS doesn't simulate their use very well and that leaving them in low idle is a more realistic "feel".

    ok last one I promise... for now hehe Again using the B200 Aeroworx checklist; it states to put the "Bleed Air Valves" to OPEN for engine starting and t/o. Formally using the PMDG 737 this seem counterintuitive as normally close them (if I recall correctly) to divert all air to the engines and not to the environmental. The positions on the B1900 are "open" "Envir Off" and "Inst & "Envir Off". I like to fly as "real as it gets". I'm putting together a new comprehensive checklist (other than the hot starts, clearing etc) Thanks!

    I might be missing something really simple, but I seem to have an issue changing radios between comm2 and comm1 in the 1900D. There only seems to be one radio which says in the tooltip "comm2 active". Even if I switch the switch to change comms to Comm1, the radio still says "Comm2 active". Am I missing something, or is there a bug / fix? Also is there a general user guide for all the B1900 systems, as there are only specific guides provided with the download? Cheers, Stuart

    I guess there are not to many painters out there willing or wanting to paint the B1900. Besides the set of painting that you get when you buy the aircraft, I haven't found many others. Does any body know if there is any particular site besides the usual avsim and flighsim.com, that has some good repaints?

    I took the B1900D out today,after quite a while not flying it, and I'm having a couple of problems with it. First is that the throttle levers keep jumping up to 100% constantly. I already checked if any left-over controller assignments could be the problem, but everything checks out, I reinstalled, but no change... What could be causing this and what can I do to fix it? Another little problem is that the annunciators for the Test A and Test B dont light up. I had this when I just bought this aircraft and it differed per install if they would work or not, but I thought that this was fixed in SP1. However, with SP1 installed, the problem is back.     Greetings. I am hoping someone might be able to assist me with the AP/FMS.....having some difficulties. Here are 2 scenarios I hope someone can clear up for me. Flight is from KEWY to KMIA KEWY-CARNU-DVALL1 (DVALL-WEVER-FAMIN-DHP)-KMIA CRZ ALT FL210. ATC gives initial alt 7.0 and RWY HDG then to expect FL210 in 10. 1) Set 7.0 in FMS WayPoint CARNU. All others to FL210 2) HDG set 090 3) Take off and hand fly to 1500 AGL and engage AP VLOC, select HDG and ALT; ac happily climbs to 7.0 and OBS HDG. 4) ATC clears dct CARNU and up to FL210. 5) Engage GPS/NAV and ac turns to CARNU. 6) Enter 21000 into FMS and ac climbs to FL210. Is this the correct way …

    Well, I've been doing this for 30 years and always seems to be something. For some reason I can't get the Heading and Course Bugs to move, other than sync. I have tried clicking everywhere in different modes, ground and in the air. Tried clicking around the Heading Knob and Heading Select Knob plus Course Select Knob and neither moves other than they will both sync. Any ideas appreciated...Thanks
