TBM 850 HD Series FSX | P3D

Happy Pilots, good evening... A small worry about TBM 850 PFD. I see that we can track any NDB - provided, however, we find the trick to tune the right frequency. Up to now, I have proven unable to find the right toggle. Any help, please ?

Hi, With autopilot, i always have a 5° bank angle (to the right). Even i try to adjust rudder or aileron trim? (I've just install version 2 by the way). Any idea? Thanks.

Hi everyone, i'm facing this issue: i have the Bert's mod for the GTN 750 but the AP doesn't follow the magenta line when i select NAV. In the GTN i have GPS selected and in the PFD as well. The plane starts flying in circle when i hit NAV. Suggestions? kind regards steve smania

Hi, I got bert's mod but can't remember how to get the gtn750 to pop up. I basically clicked all over the place but no banana. All hints and help of course appreciated.

Does anyone know the proper procedure to equally distribute / burn the fuel from both the left and right tank? I have switched the Fuel Selector to Auto and flipped the switch to Auto but it doesn't seem to burn fuel from both tanks evenly. Then I get a fuel imbalance warning. And it effects the aircraft stability when hand flying... Thanks!

I recently bought the TBM 850 and really like flying it. I however notice that the data in the G1000 is really outdated and is missing a lot of information. I'm always planning my route using Plan G which is using the FSX database. It often happens that the G1000 does not recognize a VOR I'm trying to enter. I also have a navigraph subscription but that does not seem to work for the TBM 850. Is there a way to update the data?

Any of you know if the FLC has been fixed ? Thanks

Hi All, For those like me that have a non-functioning ALT SEL on the autopilot (you turn it, click it, etc. but it does not change the altitude bug) here is a work around: There is a FSX key called "Altitude bug (select)" and it is mapped to Ctrl + Shift + Z by default. To change the altitude bug, first do the Ctrl+Shift+Z (or whatever you mapped it to) then use the plus and minus keys to have the bug go up and down! If you don't touch the plus and minus keys for a few seconds the function will be disable and the plus and minus key will go back to whatever they do by default (mine are mapped to zoom in and out). You just have to do the Ctrl+Shift+Z to change the a…

Hello everyone, Hopefully someone can help me out with this one, my CRS selectors for the MCP panel on the TBM850 aren't doing anything, in flight they control the HDG bug, it makes it difficult to shoot ILS and VOR related procedures. Using P3D v3.4.

I am having an issue installing the TBM 850 in FSX Steam Edition. I get an error indicating that it can't find C:\MyMachine\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE\dll.xml There is no FSX-SE folder under AppData\Roaming\Microsoft ONLY the FSX folder AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX. I think the problem is with the A/C installation looking for the wrong path (AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE)for the dll.xml. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Guys, I have been experimenting with the airspeed control function. It works fairly well. I have noticed that when doing an ILS approach you can control your airspeed until you intercept the glide slope. Once that happens the system will continue to control your airspeed but you cannot change it. No adjustment is possible. I have found that if I set the speed to 100 I will get a nice approach with good airspeed control through your gear and flap changes. Once on short final autopilot and airspeed control off, back on the throttle, ease back and and you get a nice arrival every time. Very cool!

Is there a source that explains how to perform the functions of the G1000 unit? The info supplied by Carenado shows all the menus, but it is difficult to figure out how to work the combination of softkeys, and the GCU 475. It is also hard to figure how what does not work and what should work, but is a bug. Thanks Everyone Peter

Are there plans for an x-plane support forum for TBM 850. I realize that it is new, but there are BASIC bugs, no manufacturer phone or email. No manufacturer forum to speak of. There is no basic documentation that answers any of my questions below. I have emailed several times to the manufacturer and keep getting redirected by a response email that has nothing to do with my questions, but is simply a thin FAQ page. I cannot find literally 1 single repaint of the carenado TBM 850. All im looking for is the 129BX typical paint scheme but in black instead of the blue that carenado offers. Are there ANY alternative repaints out there and if not, could someone possibly repaint the stock 129BX keeping it the same, just turn the blue into black?

I have installed today the new version of the TBM 850 Although the former version was working perfectly well with its AP, it is impossible to actuate it in the new version. When passing the mouse on the various keys (hdg, nav, AP, FD etc...) the marker is not modified, and clicking or double clicking does not give any result. If it is indeed possible to move the various knobs, either heading knob or course knob, this does not induce any modification in the heading or course indicators on the PFD. Altitude remains on 0000 without any possibililty to move. Anybody has experimented the same problems? AFCS unit seems not functionning.

Hello guys, after spending some time reading the manuals for this beautiful bird, I finally took off for my first flight. Everything went fine except for one thing: after reaching my cruise altitude of 31.000ft I took out the performance tables. I decided to go for the Max. cruise settings and the table says 91% of TRQ at FL310 at a temperature of -36C. However, I can not get the engine to that setting and my TRQ was around 75% - 80% although I had set the flap lever to "850". Any advice?

Perhaps now is the time to compile all the bugs or improvements for this aircraft so it can be submitted to Carendo for their consideration.

Hi, My weather radar is not working, it never displays any data. Are you guys able to use the weather radar under FSX-Steam edition? I opened a ticket with Carenado and their suggestion was to uninstall and install it again but this didn't fix the problem at all. Thanks in advance to anyone that has a suggestion.

Just purchased the TBM and was trying to setup a flight. I switched on the GPU so I could setup my flight plan in the G1000 without draining the battery. It took a while as I was taking the opportunity to learn the aircraft as well. After approx 20 minutes the battery died and all the avionics shut down. Does the GPU not work on this plane even though the message on the PFD said battery off while in GPU mode? Do I need to do anything else besides selecting GPU on the overhead? When the battery dies, is there any way to get it working again besides restarting P3D? Thanks for the help! Dan
