If you made changes to some of the C90 gauges and miss them in the B200, you may well be able to use the C90 gauges in the B200 panel. I'm using the EADI, EHSI, Autopilot, and EX500 from the C90, simply by changing the gauge names in the panel.cfg file. This saves having to go and figure out what xml files need to be changed.. Be aware that some clickspots were added in the B200 panel, like the EHSI that is covered by an Autopilot popup. You can adjust those for location and size (or disable them) if need be.

Both taxing and takeoff. I can't keep the plane straight. Worse during takeoff. Don't have this problem with other aircraft. That said. I did this test. 1. I use IYP and Radar Contact with flight plan loaded. Taxing from parking to runway hard to keep on taxi way. Takeoff uncontrollable into the grass just turning back and forth just to get off the ground. 2. Load FSX place myself on runway takeoff more controllable. Repeated from parking. Easier to control on taxi way. Take off better control. What could I be doing wrong. Controls seem to be calibrated. Not this bad with any other aircraft. Gyro drift off. No winds. Saitek controls. Thanks. Bill …

Hi B200 pilots I purchased Carenado's latest product shortly after release. But somehow I was never able to fly her more than a few minutes, until I faced a crash-to-desktop or even a total freeze of my computer. When SP1 was released I installed it immediately, but no change. The same with SP2. Finally, I removed the aircraft from my computer, downloaded the newer version from the Carenado website (including SP1) and installed it again. My flights have become a bit longer since (maybe 15 to 20 minutes) but still have the same ending. Searching the forum did not lead to any result. Is anybody here who faced the same problem and might have a solution? For your info…

Hello, I was wondering, are people using some program to help them repaint the Carenado B-200 King Air? I've taken a look at the files, and they are all segmented, so aligning the paintjob would be a nightmare without some sort of program. I have a specific airplane in mind that i want to recreate within FSX, it's a King Air owned by the Icelandic CAA and used for calibration flights. TF-FMS. I've attached a photo.

Thought you all might enjoy this sequence of three short YouTube video segments documenting flight of the B200 from APA to TEX: That's part one; parts two and three are linked in the comments. Very instructive in terms of what parameters to shoot for all the way through. Plus the plane is cruising at 28,000 feet. No warning messages.

I have two wonderful Carenado aircraft. Why are the beacon, strobe and navigation lights barley visible in my B200 KING AIR. How can I intensify them to look like my PA46T MALIBU JETPROP lights ... which are fabulous. Strange that this would happen ... from the same developers. Any help ... Thank you

I have been flying FS since the 1980's and consider myself a fairly accomplished pilot. I was on short final and had just disengaged the autopilot when the aircraft began a violent left/right osculation There was also lot of turbulence and a strong cross wind. From the sound of the engines I realized I had failed to turn the prop sync off. When I attempted to flip the switch, the violent osculation and turbulence prevented me from positioning the mouse over the switch with enough accuracy to turn the sync off. The aircraft was uncontrollable so I applied full throttle to execute a go around, but the osculation got even worse and I crashed. Later I realized I had als…

I am having some issues with the CH Products FltSim Throttle Quadrant and the B200, specifically the throttles. It seems that there is no response to increase the torque until the throttle handles are more than half way forward. Also the slightest change in the throttle handles makes such a large change in the torque. I have set it up using FSUIPC to define the various limits, reverse, idle and full throttle. I have never had such a problem like this with any other FSX plane. Any one experience similar issues? Any suggestions to make it work more smoothly and uniformly throughout the entire throttle range? Thanks, Al

I have a question regarding the b200 and reality xp 430 compatibility. Even though the default aircraft comes with dual 530's, I'd like to be able to use the gns430 from reality xp because it is the only one I own. At $50/unit, I'd rather stick to using the 430 instead. I wasn't going to buy it at all because of that, but the b200 is my favorite aircraft and the aeroworx is showing its age. Is this an easy mod, or is it too complicated - or even impossible?

I have 2 RXP GNS 530 units installed in the King Air. I also have the same 2 units in another plane - the RealAir Duke. When I fly in the Duke the GPS is always dead on the line on autopilot when navigating using GPS. However, flying the same exact flight in the King Air, it is always to the left (very noticeable -at least 3 bar widths) of the GPS navigation line. The autopilot does not track dead on the line. Same for approaches. Anyone seen this? Any thoughts why this would be happening? Thanks, Al

Hi All, I had previously installed the first Reality XP 530 using Carenado's RXP530.exe file and it has worked fine in the right position along side Carendado's 530. I recently purchased the unlimited package so I could use two RXP 530s cross-filled and have Reality's TCAS. I ran Reality XP's installer (GNS WAAS FSX config) for the Carenado B200 which created two files: RXPSTACK.INI in the panel sub-directory, RXPGNS.INI in the Carenado_B200_King_Air aircraft directory. I then edited the B200 panel.cfg and replaced: "B200KA!ToggleCAR530" with "rxpGNS!GNS530_2" "GPS530_3D_B200!GPS_5302_3D" with "rxpGNS!GNS530_2" When I start FSX and load the B200 t…

Just wondering if there is a glass panel upgrade available some where out there for this aircraft? The army has upgraded ('m sure at great expense to us tax payers) their King Airs to glass panels with FMS, etc.. Take care, Mike Nicholson

Ok I have send carenado a rather long email. herewith the details ==================================================== The B200 is really a nice plane, but can become a really great plane by adding not much. Would you please consider to bring out another Service pack to correct a few last things that is very important for the proper operation of the B200, and that will put it in a league of its own. We do NOT ask much, but some things can only be done by you as we have not have access to the model. The rest we can do and will gladly share with you to include into SP2 Some of these things actually have been successfully implemented in the C90 and would not requir…

Just purchased the B200 from Flight1 and right now I have 2 basic questions: I see that there is a SP2 - how does one tell the version or SP you currently have installed? Just purchased yesterday so I would assume Flight1 has provided the latest service pack but would like to check to make sure. How do I install the louder engine sound set that is now available? Thanks, Al

The beacons under the belly and on top of the tail should both be red. I've noticed that the beacon on top of the tail is white. Is anyone else seeing this? Hopefully I haven't messed up the aircraft.cfg file. Regards, Jim

I've read a number of post here where people are asking whether or not they should buy the Carenado King Air B200. The answer to that question depends mostly on why you're interested in siming in general and in a general aviation twin turbo prop in particular. Some people want particular aircraft for making videos and doing repaints, This is a great airplane for those purposes. The visual model is excellent. Then there are people, like me, who are mostly interested in the piloting experience. This is a good airplane for those people, but in my humble opinion, it's not quit great. It's not of the caliber of PMDG, but of course it doesn't cost that much either and P…

I am close to a decision to spring for the B200 now that the SPs are released and some valuable tweaks are available here from several skilled members. I do have a question from my C90T experience that I think will apply to the B200 as well because of the nearly identical avionics and which will get answered quicker here than in the C90T Forum as this forum is much more active at this point. The question is also specific to the RXP430. With the King Air autopilot, is there the ability for the RXP430 and the King Air autopilot to track down the vertical path of an RNAV with LPV approach? I thought I had been able to do so with the A36 with the RXP430, but cannot s…
