<p>
	I have completed the Carenado B200 mod and those of you on the mailing list should be seeing it in your mailboxes.  Summary of changes below:
</p>

<p>
	-   ITT measurement and display - ITT operates correctly and you CAN over-temp an engine

</p>

<p>
	-   Surface Deice and pneumatic pressure gauge
</p>

<p>
	-   Electrical system including generators and battery loads
</p>

<p>
	-   Autopilot
</p>

<p>
	-   EFIS
</p>

<p>
	-   Performance (Power, airspeed, torque, fuel flow, ITT)
</p>

<p>
	-   Night lighting of instrument panel
</p>

<p>
	-   Gauge changes to coincide with PT6A-52 engines
</p>

<p>
	-   Winglets permanently visible
</p>

<p>
	-   Annunciator panel corrections
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	-   Auto-ignition during start correction
</p>

<p>
	-   Start logic (normal, hung start, hot start)
</p>

<p>
	-   Engine fire logic and extinguishing logic
</p>

<p>
	-   Idle control
</p>

<p>
	-   Autofeather and autofeather test
</p>

<p>
	-   “Cold and Dark” and “Ready for Taxi” system added
</p>

<p>
	-   FDE changes
</p>

<p>
	-   Provisions for default GNS, F1GNS, and F1GTN avionics
</p>

<p>
	-  Appropriate manuals included
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	From the readme
</p>

<p>
	"The ITT gauge now shows real world temperatures and it is not very difficult to over-temp an engine.  If the over-temp is bad enough, engine damage and fire may ensue.  I also highly recommend memorizing engine fire emergency procedures (they’re easy and logical).  Failure to act in a timely manner during a fire could result in loss of the airplane. "
</p>

<p>
	Anyone not on the mailing list that would like to give it a try, send me a PM.  If you want to be included on future updates please include an email address.

<p>
	Bill's mods make the B200 a different experience - terrific. What is not so good is I seem to now get a hot start most of the time and destroying lots of expensive PT-6's is burning a hole in my wallet!  It seems it is always starting the second engine regardless of whether you start the left or right engine first.  I some time ago learned (with the Aeroworx King Air) to be patient and wait for the starter RPM to reach a full 12.0% rpm before adding fuel.  But now though the first engine ITT doesn't overheat, the second start does and you get wonderful smoke, flames and a real barbecue. Gives "hot section" a whole new meaning.
</p>

<p>
	PT-6 experts out there - any tips? I seem to recall a procedure with Kinger's that when staring the second engine you first switch off the starter motor for the now running first engine, switch on the generator for the running engine briefly but then switch it off (for some reason re the electrical buss I don't clearly remember) to start the second engine. Otherwise, I am following the same procedure but always getting a good and a bad/hot start.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance for your replies.

	Given that Bill's excellent mod has made the B200 more accurate, I'm now letting N1 spool to the prescribed 12% before moving the condition levers into low idle (I had been applying fuel at around 11.8 to keep in sync with the sound file). Unfortunately, the sounds that represent this cycle seem to loop before 12% is reached (usually as it hovers around 11.8-11.9%). It's almost like the sound could have used a few more seconds before looping. Has anyone addressed this in some way yet?

<p>
	I am currently experiencing an interesting problem with the left engine prop lever. I looked to see if anyone else has reported this--but apparently I am the only one. Maybe I am missing something here.
</p>

<p>
	My problem is this:
</p>

<p>
	--When reducing the throttle levers to the point of activating the "Gear Horn" (approx. reading of 71.6 on the Turbine Gauges) the left engine Prop Lever automatically goes into the Feathered Position. The right engine Prop Lever remains at the RPM setting to which I have previously set it. At this time--Left engine Torque reading is "1338" while the Right Engine Torque Reading is "0154". The Left RPM gauge reads approx. 900 while the Right RPM gauge reads 1850. Also, when experiencing this situation, I noticed the "Right" Ignition Light is illuminated on the light ann. panel but not the Left Ignition Light.
</p>

<p>
	At this reduced power setting--If I try to advance the Left Prop Lever--it automatically returns to the "Feathered" position. The only way I can get the Left Prop Lever to advance and stay is to increase the throttles.This problem makes landing this modified aircraft an interesting challenge.
</p>

<p>
	--Also, I am experiencing this same problem when shutting down the engines. With the Mixture Levers at Full Lean, the engines shut down as normal, however, the Left Engine Prop Lever automatically goes into full feathered position. The Right Engine Prop Lever does not move unless I use the proper key stroke to move it--or do so via my mouse.
</p>

<p>
	Again, maybe I am missing something in the check list procedure that is causing this--maybe something extra that was added via this mod that the stock B200 does not have? I am really enjoying this modified King Air and hopefully someone can help me get this issue resolved.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks
</p>

<p>
	PS: I am using P3D version 3.4xx and Windows 10 with the latest Spring update.

<p>
	I just recently purchased the Carenado King Air B200 for fsx and installed it. I am running Windows 10 Home 64-bit, and never had this problem with the B200 in Windows 7. I have been trying to fix this problem to no avail. So far I've tried installing with my antivirus turned off, re-downloading and installing with admin rights and Windows 7 compatibility. My graphics card driver is up to date (WHQL 381.89),  So far nothing has worked and I am at my wits end here. I really love the B200 because of the older steam gauge cockpit and hope to get this bird up and running smoothly soon.
</p>

<p>
	Below I've posted a link to a pic of the problem I'm currently having. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

	The external view of the B200 in fsx is perfectly fine, it's just the virtual cockpit that's giving me a headache.

	I have the Flight1 Garmin 530 units 1 and 2. Everything works fine except that in the upper left hand corner I get a bad waypoint indication in the way of waypoint name. The EHSI seems to update the distance to the active waypoint OK, but the name remains in the old direct to waypoint. Can anyone pinpoint to what is wrong here ? Is there a conflict among two types of GPS ? The EX500 seems to be a GPS of its own, on startup the waypoint name and distance seems to be in line with that of the EX500 indication.

<p>
	Something is troubling me. Yesterday on a flight from KPVU to KBFI Active Sky Next was forecasting a headwind component of about 50 kts at FL 280, getting worse as I neared destination. The indicated airpeed at max cruise power was 170 KIAS. Since there is no way of looking at TAS in this particular King Air, I computed (170x.02)*28+170 to get a True Airspeed of about 265-270 kts. That is pretty close to book values, but the puzzling thing is that the GSP in the Collins HSI and in the Carenado GPS was only 188 kts.
</p>

<p>
	What is going on here ?
</p>

<p>
	Timing the flight, it looks like the flight took well over 3 hours flying to TWF.BOI.BKE.PDL.YKM. Incredulous on the groundspeed deal I briefly switched off ASN and there were jerk reactions in the airplane so it was definitely connected to te sim (I contemplated the possibility that the airplane was taking FSX weather for a moment).
</p>

<p>
	Can anyone chime in on this ?
</p>
