I originally acquired the King Air 200 from Flightsimstore.com (now defunct). Anyone know whether Carenado offered a licence transfer for the product as a number of other vendors did?

So I have installed RXP 530s in my B200. Nav1 left and nav2 right in the VC panel and Nav1 on pop up. The autopilot will not steer the aircraft now either from GPS or VOR. What could I be doing wrong? I use the mode selector and Nav on the AP and the button on the Navcom but everytime the AP just heads the plane north. What could be wrong?

Now i tried, many times, to use it on prepar3d v.4 but I have CTD wit kernelbase.dll error: Nome dell'applicazione che ha generato l'errore: Prepar3D.exe, versione: 4.5.11.29713, timestamp: 0x5ca56c53 Nome del modulo che ha generato l'errore: KERNELBASE.dll, versione: 10.0.17763.475, timestamp: 0x69a188f0 Codice eccezione: 0xc0020001 Offset errore 0x0000000000039129 ID processo che ha generato l'errore: 0x196c Ora di avvio dell'applicazione che ha generato l'errore: 0x01d52bdcfacc17d8 Percorso dell'applicazione che ha generato l'errore: C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepa…

Bill's mods make the B200 a different experience - terrific. What is not so good is I seem to now get a hot start most of the time and destroying lots of expensive PT-6's is burning a hole in my wallet! It seems it is always starting the second engine regardless of whether you start the left or right engine first. I some time ago learned (with the Aeroworx King Air) to be patient and wait for the starter RPM to reach a full 12.0% rpm before adding fuel. But now though the first engine ITT doesn't overheat, the second start does and you get wonderful smoke, flames and a real barbecue. Gives "hot section" a whole new meaning. PT-6 experts out there - any tips? I se…

Looks like there's a loop bug in the TRAFFIC alert system if you activate the TCAS. Anyone figure out a way to fix this short of removing the wav file?

Given that Bill's excellent mod has made the B200 more accurate, I'm now letting N1 spool to the prescribed 12% before moving the condition levers into low idle (I had been applying fuel at around 11.8 to keep in sync with the sound file). Unfortunately, the sounds that represent this cycle seem to loop before 12% is reached (usually as it hovers around 11.8-11.9%). It's almost like the sound could have used a few more seconds before looping. Has anyone addressed this in some way yet?

I am currently experiencing an interesting problem with the left engine prop lever. I looked to see if anyone else has reported this--but apparently I am the only one. Maybe I am missing something here. My problem is this: --When reducing the throttle levers to the point of activating the "Gear Horn" (approx. reading of 71.6 on the Turbine Gauges) the left engine Prop Lever automatically goes into the Feathered Position. The right engine Prop Lever remains at the RPM setting to which I have previously set it. At this time--Left engine Torque reading is "1338" while the Right Engine Torque Reading is "0154". The Left RPM gauge reads approx. 900 while the Right RP…

I wanted to see if there was anyone who knew how, and was willing to make a dimmer panel texture for the King Air 200. Carenado makes great aircraft, but I find that the panel lighting at night is way to bright. I am a pilot and when I fly I keep the panel as dim as possible so I can see outside better. The one aircraft that Carenado got right with the panel lighting was the T182. Any help in this area would be much appreciated. Thank you.

The heading bug adjustment for the EHSI is located on the autopilot on the console between the pilot and copilot seats. I can press this knob and make the heading bug set to the current heading, but I have been unable to figure out how to adjust the heading left or right. What am I missing? Of course I can do this via the co-pilot's HSI. Thanks, Jim :-)

I just recently purchased the Carenado King Air B200 for fsx and installed it. I am running Windows 10 Home 64-bit, and never had this problem with the B200 in Windows 7. I have been trying to fix this problem to no avail. So far I've tried installing with my antivirus turned off, re-downloading and installing with admin rights and Windows 7 compatibility. My graphics card driver is up to date (WHQL 381.89), So far nothing has worked and I am at my wits end here. I really love the B200 because of the older steam gauge cockpit and hope to get this bird up and running smoothly soon. Below I've posted a link to a pic of the problem I'm currently having. Any help would …

I have the Flight1 Garmin 530 units 1 and 2. Everything works fine except that in the upper left hand corner I get a bad waypoint indication in the way of waypoint name. The EHSI seems to update the distance to the active waypoint OK, but the name remains in the old direct to waypoint. Can anyone pinpoint to what is wrong here ? Is there a conflict among two types of GPS ? The EX500 seems to be a GPS of its own, on startup the waypoint name and distance seems to be in line with that of the EX500 indication.

Something is troubling me. Yesterday on a flight from KPVU to KBFI Active Sky Next was forecasting a headwind component of about 50 kts at FL 280, getting worse as I neared destination. The indicated airpeed at max cruise power was 170 KIAS. Since there is no way of looking at TAS in this particular King Air, I computed (170x.02)*28+170 to get a True Airspeed of about 265-270 kts. That is pretty close to book values, but the puzzling thing is that the GSP in the Collins HSI and in the Carenado GPS was only 188 kts. What is going on here ? Timing the flight, it looks like the flight took well over 3 hours flying to TWF.BOI.BKE.PDL.YKM. Incredulous on the groundsp…
