I just built a new system and a week later the announcement of the KS came out. Just curious if it will show any noticeable benefit over the K for P3D?

I don't think my Tomatoshade is working correctly. I am on version 30 and 4.5 HF2. I opened TS and it said some of the integrity of the shaders were not working. It also wouldn't let me apply presets. Any idea what could be causing this and how I can fix it? Thanks!

I reinstalled my P3D to have a fresh new start, I installed my addons and planes, but for some reason active sky and FSlabs does not recognize P3D v4, and I am sure I have P3D V4.5 both these addons worked before I reinstalled. I hope someone can help me with this.

I'm wanting a little utility that would measure the distance of my landing and takeoff roll. Any such thing?

Forgive me for starting a new thread, but the old ones were a little *old* (!) and I couldn't find a sub-section specifically for Tomatoshade. Whilst waiting for PTA to get its act together, I thought I'd revisit my TomatoShade presets - and have cobbled up a new one, using P3D 4.5 (HF2) and the newly released TomatoShade 3.1. Hello Everyone, I have an undenyable urge to try out bush flying in the flight simulator. My favorite real-world bush plane is the piper cub but I don't see any for P3D. I am also unsure what region to focus on for sceneries, airports, etc. Any suggestions on Scenery, Aircraft, or bush flying in P3D in general would be appreciated. Thanks, Andrew

I just installed 4.5 since fslabs is compatible and I am getting errors with active sky. anyone know how to fix? The error says P3D cannot control ambient weather parameters correctly thus cannot function properly. Thus is cannot function and will shut down. Please make sure you have proper rights of the programfiles (x86) folders and have trusted / excleded as_p3dv4 from your security software, as well s the sim as_srv folder and included .dllmodules Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello Fellow simmers, I need a little guidance please. The main runways at KPDK in my p3dv4.5 HF2 display the old rwy designation of 20 L/R. The runways have long ago been renumbered to 21L/R. I would like to update my P3Dv4.5 HF2 as painlessly as possible.😉 I frequently fly the Fi Mustang, Phenom 300 or the FA50Ex with a Navigraph expansion pack and Subscription ( currently airac cycle 1911) . I ALSO have the ORBX Libraries/Vectors/Base pack,Open LC NA and open LC Europe installed . Almost an embarrassing question, but how do I press a VC button/click a switch using the Oculus VR option in P3D v4.5? I am sure that this glaringly simple but cannot find it at the moment. I can point at the control button/switch with no difficulty but do not know how to activate it. I am using an Oculus Rift S.

Does anyone else notice how dark the ground gets in P3d (on v 4.5 hf2) when the sun is low? Is there a way to brighten up the terrain/objects by increasing the amount of light pre dusk within the shaders? I have tried with Tshade but find increasing the levels to get a good light level at dusk messes up the midday light level saturation. any help gratefully appreciated!

Hi Folks, I purchased the S-76 from NEMETH DESIGNS yesterday, and am experiencing extremely dark VC Panels, I've adjusted my PTA Ambient light, but without any success. All other Aircraft in my hanger are fine. I have emailed NEMETH direct for support and am yet to receive anything back. Anyone have any ideas please. Kind Regards Brian Baxter BJ from OZ

The new vatsim for me has been a huge failure, I fly both x-plane and p3d, support is non existent and overall it is just a huge failure, the potential is there but they seem to have really dropped the ball, I know they are volunteer's but it came with so much hype, and frankly just doesn't work well.

A much better and realistc atmospheric behaviour would be one of my most wanted optimizations for P3D and I am hoping they are working on this. Light behaviour, clouds, shadows, sky, sun, moon, star textures, rain, snow, fog.....Why I choose Atmosphere? Because that is the direct environment I am flying in. The second one I would like to see is realistic scenery like Microsoft/FlyInside approaching to. Scenery/Buildings has to be more realistic. When this comes in about 1 year I would not think about leaving P3D behind and try to jump over to Microsoft. I know a can use both parallel. But I am not sure if I would do that on longterm. The more I read about this aircraft the more I want to get it. I like in-depth study level aircraft and we all know they are few & far in between. My question is simply, how is its performance now at the latest version? My sim: P3D 4.4, [email protected], 16GB 3200MHz, 1080, M.2 SSDs, Orbox Global, FTX, Skyforce, AS, HD airport textures, UT Live, All PMDG, Maddog, Q400 I don't go crazy with settings or addons. Everything reasonable. I typically get 40+ FPS in PMDGs at busy airports. Thank you in advance!

I am a newcomer to VR (Oculus Rift S) and I must admit I am impressed (my head is still in a spin!). I thought that FlyInside for P3D v4 (I have P3D v4.5 HF2 installed) would be a good investment for making use of the VC controls in the absence of a mouse, but I cannot get access to the FlyInside settings because the blue dot does not appear in my headset to navigate my way round the menu when initially setting up FlyInside. I have posted in the FlyInside forums but don't really expect much joy there, since there has been at least one other such posting with no response. I launched vPilot the other day and it told me a new version is available. Will this give me the new audio or will I need to install something else? Vatsim is blocked at my work so I figured I'd check here to see if someone could shed some light. Thanks!

Hello, just bought some new speakers for my sim PC (W10) but i cannot let the P3d sound use my speakers, it stays on the speakers of my HDMI monitor. When changing the sound-device in P3D sound settings from HDMi monitor-speakers to the Realtek HD soundcard, it changes the setting but sound keeps on coming trough my monitorspeakers. I have also changed the sound-device in the speaker icon (right corner), no result. When using VLC or Youtube sound, then i can change the sound device and sound follows the setting, but not P3D, it keeps on sending sound to HDMI and no sound at all to Realtek, and it is set as default. I've been away from the sim for a while but decided to hop back on today and I'm now experiencing a problem I've never had before. Whenever I start P3D and click on change aircraft or location, the sim crashes to the desktop after a few seconds with no pop up. The only things I've done were update QW 787, ActiveSky, and P3D from 4.4 to the latest 4.5 HF2 (only client and scenery). I can't figure this out and about to do a a whole uninstall and reinstall... Any help would be appreciated.

Everything works okay but every time I exit P3Dv4.5 (30-40 seconds later), the above box pops up. There is no problem that I can find in the HTML files that show some syntax problem. I seem to remember the same thing from FSX but too long ago for my old brain to recollect. Can someone tell me what might be the cause? And the fix? Thanks for help Neal H

I fall in troubles with "Justsim LOWL for P3Dv4" while in P3D4.5 Hofix1 the scenery looks like this: the same scenery in P3D4.5 HOTFIX2 looks like this one: so i ask: how is this possible? the airport is at 300Ft, it should be at 300 Meters - 980 Ft. Hotfix2 client install did not change any scenery priority? The airport is in my scenery.cfg up in first place. also i have checked that no other File for LOWL is installed. I would like to start with a problem that has cropped up recently (since my last re-install) After three or four flights (on different days) I find that all my Saitek controller settings revert to default. This results in an hour long exercise in re-assigning all of my controller settings. As all the assignments I use are Saitek controller based, I delete probably 90% of the assigned settings and re-assign the ones I use. I have posted this query over on the Orbx site and have received some replies but as of yet have received no correction, so I thought I would try the assembled minds here at AVSIM to see if they have seen anything similar. I have developed a condition where setting and following either HDG or NAV(GPS) after taking off from an Orbx airport (currently KSAN, KSBA, and KTEX) sends my aircraft off in the wrong direction. This "directional offset" seems to be consistently 90 degrees west from the desired direction. For instance, if I set HDG to 360 degrees the plane will fly at 270.
