Hello everyone, after a few years off I have rediscovered flight simulation for myself and have now finished installing my P3D. When I left 6 years ago, IVAO was the leading network in Europe. After a few days I have the impression as if this is now Vatsim. In this context I would like to know what happened in the last years and where IVAO stopped being the leading network. Or rather, where the peak was and why then came the crash. I would also be interested to know how you think both networks will develop in the future. Thanks, Frank!

Hi all, I'm still running on P3D v3 for some reasons and soon I will upgrade my equipment (not too soon). Last night I've downloaded Lionheart creations Zenith Ch701 stol for P3Dv4 and v5 and tried to install it in P3D v3. That was successful except the aiecraft is not visible. Any help on this issue? Just purchased/installed Tropicalsim's KABQ... very nice! However, I am seeing no ground lighting (light splashes) on the tarmac or on the ground at any surrounding buildings. I do see the light poles lighted but that's it. Anyone else who as this airport are you seeing the same thing? Sent email to them several days ago but sadly no reply and their forums are down? By the way, the airport matches up and looks great with my simwestALBQ photoreal scenery. Clutch

If you want all the goodness that Tongass Fjords offers installed, and then the TONS of supporting (region) art assets from RTMM, (Return to Misty Moorings) then I have a very quick dance step to get you up and running, all installed in about an hour from download. First, you need to go to the RTMM Home Page, and register. You will be vetted through email in about 1 to 3 days. I have had mixed luck with Project MAX, but I just snarfed up their Yellowknife, and it is easily worth twice the price. Special snow config, lots of detail and of course the iconic Buffalo hanger. It really captures the feel. Thought some of you might be interested to check it out. (No installer.) I got it an SimMarket and left a review. Still a minor graphic issue or two, but nothing to make you think twice about buying it.

I have some addon airports that I have created and now, for some reason the aircraft load in the air, not at the actual airport parking space. These custom airports used to work fine but I am at a loss to understand what has changed. I run Orbx central and all my Orbx addons are updated. With the new 5.2 version I encounter this problem. After loading a flight and doing the checklist the cockpit textures become completely black. Sometimes even some textures outside the plane. After reset scenario things temporarily become normal but very soon the textures get corrupted again. I used the A2A B17 and also tried a default plane with the result of corrupted scenery. Same problem in VR and Track IR. I have updated my NVIDIA drivers to the latest version and the problem remains. Does anyone recognize this problem or am I alone with it ?

Hi Guys, Lookng for a little advice from people that have switched to P3Dv5 from P3Dv4.5.I was a longtime user of FSXSE before i switched to P3Dv4.5 about a year or so ago, now am asking myself the next question shall i jump to P3Dv5 despite all the VRAM and device hung error messages.I know my CPU could handle the switch I7 11700K but am asking questions about my GPU Asus RTX3060 12GB OC.I will just be using the standard HD resolution no 4K textures,so i would like to ask your opinions on if i should go to P3Dv5 and if i did would i still get the stabilty and performance i currently get in P3Dv4.5.All my sliders are between medium to high.Also if i ma…

So I’m back with another question. I run Version 4.5 at 1080p with Vsync on and unlimited frames with triple buffering. My monitor is locked at 60hz. So this means that naturally, the frames in my sim are 60fps at its peak. I can usually achieve 60fps at a handful of airports, and at cruising altitude depending on the weather below, but I rarely see anything under 35. The thing is, I just don’t like how notchy my sim gets if the frames are less than 60fps if I pan around, or anything like that. Even if my frames drop to 50fps I still get stutters and notchy-ness. I understand that I can choose half refresh rate, and run 30fps, but even if I did that, my sim looks HORRIBLE…

Hello, I have a B737 homecockpit, and I use 3 43inch screens for the outside world view. The screens are far enough form my seat, and I cannot read the red labels of the AI aircraft flying around. Does anybody knows if there is any way to increase the font size of the AI aircraft labels? Thanks in advance. Juan

This site has been around for quite some time and the owner does a great job of gathering together in one place all the freeware scenery available for P3D including v5. I bought him a coffee today for his trouble. Of course, I'm a little hesitant in reporting this, but believe me, so far this has worked for me! I would always get some stutters and certainly long pauses where the sim was frozen for a minute or so, and in the last several days...after over a dozen flights, I've had NONE! I know this sounds crazy, and it is working for me. Perhaps it will work for you...maybe not. Hello All, When taxiing many of my aircraft in Version 5.2. the aircraft constantly wants to steer left. I steer with my CH rudder pedals and need full right to go straight. Using the left pedal results in a U-turn. This has only just started happening and I have not changed any of the axis assignments. Yes I have re-calibrated and gone through all the controller settings to check for a conflict. Any ideas please? Regards, Stephen Shallcross.

I would just like to know if anyone else with Orbx YBCS has the same terrible night lighting that I have? fresh reinstall of P3DV4.5 but it was like this prior, the yellow lights on left side along the international terminal are just lights in the air with no light poles, in the day time the poles are there plus all the lights just seem to be floating, I've asked over at Orbx with no reply for a month now, looking for any ideas.

My insomnia is SimMarket's blessing. What I noticed last night is it took a lot longer to troll through the P3Dv5 products. I picked up about $50 bucks worth of odds and ends and left some reviews of things I had already bought. There were a few big name releases, but what I'm noticing is a lot of cheap airports the big devs wouldn't touch, especially Central and South America and Africa. I can't resist a 7 Euro airport. Besides, how often am I going to fly into Honduras, or Panama, or a regional Brazilian airport? (Not to say there are not some fantastic South American airports I have. Currently I am running a i7-8700K @5GHz. It is paired with a RTX 2070 and 32 gigs of RAM. So the system is average but I should still be getting at least 45-60fps in all situations. Lately I have been experiencing “notchy” frame rates near populated areas, like for example I purchased SeattleX and I tell you, I swear I thought I had a i3 processor and a GTX 660 flying over Seattle with that add on. The lowest frame I saw was 8fps. So it got me thinking that just maybe my 6 core 12 threaded processor from 2018 is the hold up. Maybe. Just got my throttle and downloaded the profiles from Aerosoft but having issues with no lights showing on the NGX and all lights showing constant on the 747 and 777. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

Hello Avsim friends, I have a very weird problem I just can´t find any fix for but maybe some in here know, what you can do to change the behavior of my PC and P3D V5. So some time ago I performed a successful BIOS update (MSI MEG X570 Unify), everything works find apart from my P3D V5. Before the BIOS update, I had an average CPU usage of about 50% (Ryzen 9 5900X) throughout my session. Now, I only get such CPU load during the time where the screen shows the scenario loading bar. Once I actually get into the scenario, my CPU usage drops down to about 10%, often less, resulting in much lower FPS, barely flyable. I´ve tried projectlasso and TaskManager Affinity …

Not sure what the deal is, but no matter what I do, I have a red "X" over every Jetway at SimWings EDDM for P3dv5. It is driving me crazy because nothing I do fixed this. Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete

Hi all, bought the QW 787 recently with the most recent update but found the frames for me are absolutely awful, struggling to get above 10 FPS at UK2000 Birmingham where usually I get over 20 FPS in the PMDG 737 and 777. I am using P3D V4 with pretty low settings but I don't mind that, I only care about my stupidly low frames in the 787 as it's a fantastic aircraft which I am unable to enjoy. I easily make the QW 787 recommended specs, I know my specs aren't brilliant but I don't really want to be spending hundreds on upgrades at the moment. My specs are: AMD A8-9600 3.4 GHZ quad core, Nvidia GT1030, 16GB 2400MHZ RAM, 1TB hard drive. Just wondering if anyone had any idea…

So I picked up the DC Designs Concorde last night and decided to give it a go. I departed PDX with the intent to land at SFO, normally about 1 1/2 flight via 737. Once I got to 55,000' and Mach 2.03 I decided to just keep going as the terrain below was moving at an incredible rate of speed. Ray would have been err.. Proud until I started my decent way too late as I over shot my runway and had to perform a go around. Sadly my next attempt into LAX was not much better, too slow this time and well.... I crashed. Still It is a fun plane to fly and quite different then the normal tube liners or puddle jumpers I usually fly. I get some of the complaints about the graphics…

Hello — I know this has been asked before but I'm asking again for clarity to be sure. It is my understanding that to use ASP4 for weather, ASCA for weather dynamics, ENVXXX for enhanced textures and sound, and SF3D cloud structures only, all you have to do is run EF on the simulator machine (with automatic texture sync set to OFF ) and ASP4, ASCA, ENVTEX/ENVSHADE/ENVSOUND — either remotely or locally but WITHOUT running SF3D at all. Beside setting ASCA Integration to ON in ENVDIR, do you also need to set SF3D Integration to ON as well? I can't tell the difference.
