Hi have a problem using my 737NGX tried to fly the Tutorial 1 EGKK to EHAM but each time I get the L GPS or R GPS Invalid message on FMC and audible alarm , yesterday flew RJGG to VHHX and LFPG to EGLL with no such problems, have programmed all data as previous please can anyone advce what i'm failing to do? I am using default airports not Add-Ons for this Tutorial. Hello, does any know whether there's a tutorial guide for beginners to generating a flight plan for the PMDG 737 NGX? I can easily follow the PMDG tutorial to fly from EGKK to EHAM. But when I try to fly another route for example YSSY to YMML, I have no idea how to enter the flight plan into the FMC. I use some tool to help me generate something like: YSSY SID WOL H65 RAZZI Q29 TAREX STAR YMML But once I inputted the DEP and ARR data, the plan has a lot of discontinuity which I need to solve..but I have no idea how to get the information. Hi, I am using a Saitek Yoke and would like to calibrate it to as close as possible to the NGX and I'm wondering what FSX/FSUIPC settings would be the best. I currently have the FSX settings as 1/4 Null and 3/4 Sensitivity. Any ideas anyone? Thanks Rob

For the PMDG 737 NGX, can it run on the regular edition of FSX, or does it need the Deluxe Edition or Acceleration Edition?

I have been working with the 737NGX for months now (just about the only plane I fly). Done the tutorials, follow this forum, but have two problems: 1) In the FMC, I have worked through in correct order entering all data, including cruise altitude and then a saved flight plan, which includes a STAR with an (expected) altutude restriction ("expect to cross LOOTH at 11,000 on the ROYKO STAR at Chicago). When I look at the LEGS page, my enroute altitudes are not the entered cruise altitude, but the restriction on the STAR for each leg. I cannot enter the cruise altitude in the legs without the "atitude restriction at LOOTH" message. I can correct this by deleting the …

I have occasions where pressing the APP button will not activate the ILS. Sometimes, when the LOC is already activated, pressing APP does not light up and the glide slope is not intercepted. Must be something set wrong in the flight controls, but don't know what. Anyone?

Greetings all, I planned my route using RFinder and FSCommander. I saved the plan and loaded it into the FCU. It showed a Hold at: COANB (Flying into A Coruna (LECO). I could not delete this HOLD and got locked in flying around and around the hold. I eventually completed the flight manually. Can anyone point out how to cancel/delete/remove a HOLD. Might have been asked before, but could not find any reference to it. I know I can change the cabin layout between a single and a dual class layout. But is it also possible to change the number of passengers per class? Reason I ask is because of the upcomming PXPF, where you can specifiy the max number of passengers on board. Different airlines have different layouts with different maximum number of passengers. No biggie if it isn't possible, just wondering..

Updated my PMDG Airac cycle, and put in my VHHX navigation data...runways, airport, and SID/STARS. Nothing comes up. When I input VHHX into my CDU, I get an error message regarding runway errors, runways not found. any one else experiencing his issue?

My PC screen is 12" high and 21" wide (SAMSUNG Syncmaster 2494). How can I set FSX so that the FSX window fill up the screen without messing up the screen ratio? (i.e. so that squares look as squares). Right nos my FSX window show the squares square if I show it 12" high and 16" wide.Is there anything I nees to sep in the NGX model? or in FSX? Alvaro

Hi, I use Active Skt 2012 and have turbulence and ground winds checked. I have never experienced turbulence in cruise, or crosswinds on landing or takeoff. I also have the FSUIPC weather turned off. Are there any settings I need to adjust to have this more realistic? Thanks Rob

I experienced an inflight engine failure on a B737-800. Performed the rote engine out procedure and descended to FMC recommended max alitude. Once stable I consulted the QRH to complete the checklist. Engine would not respond to re-start attempts so continued to my destination airport (135 nm ) and landed without incident, but, comparing the QRH info with the procedure being taught on YOU-TUBE (Baltic Air Academy) I am a bit confused over the function of the AT on the NGX. Hey guys. I'm doing a flight from FSIA to OMDB in the NGX, and maybe about 30 min. after passing the Equator from South to North suddenly the airplane started turning to the left away from my track. LNAV was still engaged. I switched to HDG to get it back in track and once again engaged LNAV. Seemed to work, but 5 min. after passing the next waypoint it did a 90 degree left turn for some reason. I haven't touched the IRS's, but the FMC is saying: Scanning DME Fail. But that shouldn't really make the airplane do 360 degree turns or fly 90 degree away from track..
